Doesn't hold as much as said
I bought the gallon one which works really well with my two dogs. The only thing I didn't like about it is not a gallon it is 3 liters because I can take a Ocean spray 3 liters bottle fill it completely up with water and it fills the water fountain.

Great product
All the pets love their new fountain. Does get a little dirty with three pets using it. Very easy to take apart and clean. It is slightly noisy, so you do have to get use to the slight hum of the filter in the background. Holds enough water to keep a large dog and 2 cats taken care of for at least a day. I think it holds a gallon of water at a time.

The pump problem is because of the FILTERS, not the actual pump
So many reviews complain that the pump just died after a short time. We experienced the same thing after about four months of heavy use. We were very disappointed but by then our animals had fallen in love with the water fountain, so we bit the bullet and spent $20 on the replacement pump. When my husband was removing the old one, he noticed a lot of black guck all over it and suggested we try a few tablespoons of vinegar and warm water to try to clean it. EUREKA!! There was nothing wrong with the old pump after all, it was just clogged with black charcoal bits from the filters. The amount of gunk that blew out of this pump once we started cleaning it was unbelievable. The picture above shows guck still coming out after four bowls of water. This fountain is a wonderful way to provide fresh water to your pets. We have three dogs and three cats so there is a lot of action around the water bowls. If your pump dies, we highly recommend that you remove the pump, place it in large bowl of clear water with a few TBS of vinegar and with a toothbrush scrub it a bit and then try to run the pump. Once it starts pumping again, keep changing the water until it runs clear and your pump will be good as new. After this incident, we realized that we need to spend more time rinsing the charcoal filter before putting it in so that there is less debris to clog the pump. But then we also wondered if we really even needed the the charcoal filter.... In any case, our dogs and cats are happy as ever and we remain huge fans of this water bowl.

Another Awesome Petsafe product - Poor customer support
THIS... Is the Drinkwell Gallon Fountain by PetSafe and it is the next fountain I have thrown down for my dogs to see if it will make the cut! This watering fountain holds around two gallons and also has two separate filters (an initial foam waste filter and a carbon filter) to replace. It runs quietly and has a nice adjustable output of around 200l/hr on high, and hits the water break on the bowl to keep it from making a splashing sound. Initially, I was thinking this was going to be a complicated water fountain from the initial setup, however, once I got my bearings straight and READ THE DIRECTIONS I was able to effortlessly set it up. It has a few pieces to clean and takes around 5-10 minutes to break down, thoroughly clean (if not dishwashing), and assemble. I found the filters to be in well-suited places and they are quite easy to replace! The water stream only diminished once the first initial waste filter had filled up, and, replacing it fixed it instantly! The filters aren't terribly priced either, with the Foam Filter (2 pack) costing $6 to be changed every couple of months and a 12-pack of carbon filters costing $12.30 and needing to be replaced about once a month. The replacement pump also isn't too bad either and is currently $19.99 so altogether not the worst in terms of long-term maintenance! A nice thing to see from PetSafe! I really enjoy this Dog Fountain, and besides wishing it came in other colors, this pump looks nice and works well. I haven't had it flood, leak or show signs of weakness in any way and truly see this as a product that will stick around for a while. The only reason I would replace this is due to needing a bigger water basin and a reserve tank as my Great Dane and Lab need this fountain refilled about every other day which is no fault to this wonderful product. I loved how easy it was to break down and individually clean and think this is truly a great product to trust with your pets. I think once you introduce this fountain to your pets, it will become apparent to you as well how nice this fountain is! UPDATE =============== I had to warranty the pump... ok no big deal! It is 4/22/2023 upon updating my review and initially reaching out to Petsafe on 3/28/2023. I have not really moved forward and they have had gaps as large as one week in between correspondence. Not really sure what to do other than buy a new pump at this point which doesn't make since if the product has a warranty and the pump fails in the first 3 months.

Works beautifully.
Easy to put together. We all like the sound, but we love water fountains. The dogs now drink from this indoor fountain instead of going into the yard to drink from an outdoor not-as-clean water fountain.

This will be my third one because i love them for my 5 dogs
I love these water bowls because i have five dogs so the 2 gal option is great i have to fill their water up once a day. We recently moved to a house that is two stories instead of the one and now I’m going to buy a third one for the upstairs. Now it will get dirty if you don’t clean it you know just like every thing else in life so be sure to clean them frequently i have to clean mine about every other week sometimes more depending on what I’ve been feeding them (if i give them rice with their food then there WILL be rice in that water bowl) my dogs have big lips so a lot of their food will get stuck and fall in the water but it filters out ALOT of gunk that other bowls won’t that why I’m buying a third one RIGHT NOW!!

Don't waste your money
Product arrived and does not work and you are not allowed to return it. Disappointed in Petsafe and terivpy disappointed in Amazon. Since when are ANY Prime eligible items not returnable?

My puppies new favorite water bowl
Assembly was quite simple. Noise level is pretty good, I like the sound of a fountain so it could be louder and I still woudnt complain. Holds alot of water. Remembering back to fish tanks I was a little concerned with the pump acting like a heater and making the water turn warm after a while. This dosent seem to be the case. After days the water still feels cool and room temp.

Doesn’t filter well
This doesn’t filter well at all! I’m having to change the water and clean it out daily or at the least every other day. We have a Great Dane so he is a messy drinker which I’m sure doesn’t help the situation. I would not recommend this for a big dog or any dog that “slobbers” into their water. It’s unfortunate that I invested so much money into this product and it’s not eligible for a return or refund through amazon. Might be good for smaller dogs, but it was a waste of money for us.

Me gustó mucho, la instalación sencilla y rápida. Aún no me toca lavarlo pero no se ve difícil de hacer, no me convencía que fuera de plástico, pero como tiene agua siempre a mi Perrin no le da tentación morderla. Ahora, mi perro no le gusta mucho prendida, si toma de ella pero se acerca más cuando está apagada, no le gusta el ruido que hace. Yo la recomiendo, es de excelente tamaño, hace ruido pero no es algo extremo (mi perro es delicado jajaja).

L'eau reste fraîche et propre. Jai 1 chien (labernois) et 5 chat. J'ai enlevé tous les bol pour ne laisser que l'abreuvoir. Honnêtement mais animaux boivent plus d'eau qu'au paravent!! Le seul petit hic c'est qu'on entend un peux le jet d'eau. Rien de bien grave sachant tous le bien être et les points positifs que sa apportes. Je recommande pour tous seux qui on une grosse famille d'animaux!
