So Far, so Good, except...
I added these to my greenhouse for overhead water system. I used PEX and fittings in the overhead to let these hang down, and reach any point of the greenhouse for watering. Pulling a hose on the floor makes you want to cut it up and throw it down a hill after it gets caught on a small pebble on the ground. Can make a person go nuts. However, these worked out well, but the coil doesn't hold shape and really sags due to the weight of the water in tubing. 5 star to it being exactly what I need; 4 star because of the weak coils.

Clumsy
Yes it coils back up so you don't have to wrap it up. However, over time it just stays stretched out. It's also a trip hazard because it doesn't lay flat on the ground, my foot constantly gets caught in the coils and I trip over it. Better off using a hose drum or a planter container to hide your hose away. May work better for more specific applications but for a general yard hose, not recommended. Hardware is not the best quality. Coils are positioned perfectly to kink with the least amount of stress.

Pretty decent for a coiled hose
I don't know which I hate more... coiled hoses or flex hoses. Both are pretty bad, IMHO, and more trouble than they're worth. But if you simply must use a coiled hose, this one is as good a product as you can find. Let's start with the solid brass couplings. Brass. High quality brass. 'Nuff said. The threading is smooth and they form a nice watertight seal. The hose material itself is high quality. At 5/8" diameter, it's also thicker than a lot of other coiled hoses. Quality-wise, this coiled hose blows any other coiled hose I've used out of the water. Even the spring on the hose bib end that prevents kinking/sheer on the connector is heavy grade. At 50' in length, this hose is heavy. It's klunky to use. I guess that's the trade-off for having a practical length. If you pull on it to try and reposition it (for instance, to give yourself more slack to work with), the weight makes it want to stay right where it is; the end you're holding onto stretches, but the main body doesn't move much. You end up "reeling in" more than "tugging" in order to get the hose where you need it. Along those same lines, a coiled hose is basically a spring, so you are constantly, 100% of the time, fighting against spring tension as you're watering. A defect (IMO) in the design of most (if not all) coiled hoses is that they are coiled from end to end. This one suffers from that same design flaw, unfortunately. I believe it would be much more useful if each end had a small length of straight, normal, uncoiled hose to it. The 3-star rating may seem low--and perhaps it is--but it's the average of 5-star quality in a 1-star design. [I really hate working with a coiled hose.]

5 stars? NOT so much...
This 50 foot hose is coiled so tight it's a constant struggle pulling it to where you need it at its longest point and holding it there because it constantly wants to spring back. The pull pressure where it connects to the faucet is huge. somethings got to give at some point. . A lot of that 50' length is taken up by the coils--it's more like 35 feet. It being so tightly wound you don't ever get a 50 foot length out of it. It's literally impossible. on occasion it will kink despite being "kink free." I use it to water 1/2 way around a large rectangular flower garden area. Rounding two corners is problematic because of the springlike coil pull on whatever is at the corners. I put in short iron fencing at these corners to protect the shrub s but that doesn't solve the problem because the coil will not glide around the corners for the coils get stuck. It's not the proper hose for this watering job but I didn't realize that till after I bought it and used it. this coiled hose would only work in an open area where it doesn't need to go around bushes or plants because it pulls on them as you round the corner causing damage. I've gotten to loathe this hose. Everybody praises it's quality and that might be so but in Actual use for my purposes which is watering my flower garden it's problematic-- A struggle because of its coil spring action. to store I coil the working end of the hose and hang it on the wall bracket which takes up practically half of the hose. The other half hangs down to the ground and gathers there in a pile. At the other end of my garden I've got a reel spool on four wheels for a regular 5/8 inch rubber hose. I pull it out as far as I need it and the pull slackens once I'm there. I can pull the hose around corners Braced with low metal fence for it glides around the corners easily. A pleasure to use. When I'm done I reel in the long hose, it wraps around the spool smoothly. Done.

Suits my needs perfectly!!
This little hose is exactly what I needed for a remote corner of my patio to water some shrubs and container plants. It replaces a 50 ft. cumbersome beast of a hose that would not easily loop to hang on a hook. I was constantly inventing new swear words every time I wanted to store it out of the way. Yes, the diameter of this hose is smaller than a "normal" hose--READ THE DETAILS--but it puts out a more than adequate stream to accomplish most tasks easily. I LOVE that it is so lightweight and re-coils so that I am able to hang it up easily. PROS: --price --3 yr. warranty --lightweight (25' length) --easily lengthens and re-coils for storage --UV resistant I always attach a water shut off connector before attaching a nozzle to hose(s).
