Perfection

Success on my 3rd attempt to find perfect stool for my low desk. Lovely material seat; seat is perfect size for medium-sized woman's bottom; very easy to raise and lower height; fun to spin; wheels rolls quite well even on this low shag rug; easy to assemble; great warranty to top it off!

Perfect for so many tasks as well as a medical aid after foot/leg injury.

This little stool is going to be a lifesaver for me in January. I'm having foot surgery & will be non-weight bearing on that foot for at least 3 weeks. I got all kinds of implements to help me get from point A to point B but nothing seemed appropriate for my bathroom which is small. While at my Dr's office, I looked at her medical stool & wondered if that could serve as a mode of transportation for tight spots. It rolled well on her flat-nap carpet but that did not tell me how well it would roll on household carpet so I ordered this thing & found that, while it WILL roll, it takes quite a bit of effort so I have ordered larger (100mm) casters to replace the existing 50mm with the hope that this will make it roll a bit easier. I am so convinced that this stool will be the clear deal that I have ordered another one for my lower level so I can scoot down the stairs on my butt & use the stool to get wherever I need to get down there as well. The heavy-duty ring on the stool base will serve nicely as a resting place for my surgical foot. Knee scooters are great for larger areas but, in a small house with furniture everywhere plus 2 giant dogs & a cat, one needs something more manageable & this may be the answer. Why no one ever came up with this solution before is beyond me...it's a no-brainer. Once I can walk again, I'll have 2 handy little stools that will work for multiple tasks when one doesn't want to stand in a bent position for long periods OR as discreet seating for my sewing machine or desk. I'd give this thing 10 stars if I were allowed to do that & will definitely tell my foot surgeon that this is a way more practical way to scoot around one's house than on a knee walker. It seems extremely well built & sturdy but, keep in mind, I've only had it for one day. Oh, took me all of 15 seconds to "assemble" it.

One of my better purchases for guitar and bass practice

I love this for electric bass practice. Highly recommended for guitar and bass players. The assembly couldn't be easier- literally align the parts and shove it together. A few have mentioned flimsiness, but mine is rock solid on a fairly thickly padded carpeted floor. It rolls great, and I like the foot rest ring. I thought the fixed height ring could be an issue with the height adjustment of the seat, but the adjustment range isn't that much- just enough to find the sweet spot with a guitar on your lap, depending on what's comfortable and how long your legs are. I had hoped to get one with a wider range of height adjustment to maybe use with cello or upright bass, but I realize for those, I want something without wheels- and perhaps even a back. But for my intende use, this has turned out nearly perfect. As our computers have become the center of our lives, mine has become the center of my electric bass practice routine, and the height range offered with this is just right for me. If I had one complaint, it would be the thickness of the padding. After several hours of use, I can feel the sit bones of my boney butt against the base of the seat. Most days though don't involve that much practice in one shot (I have a gig starting tomorrow that required me to learn 36 songs in 30 days...) For the price, this is an outstanding value. For musicians, this is a very handy stool to have. Because it rolls so well and is fairly light, I really like how easy it is to swap it out with my heavy office chair (which has arms which prevent it from being suitable for guitar / bass practice). It actually tucks under my desk out of the well very nicely. I also love that in use, it is very easy to switch between sitting and standing. The foot ring actually keeps my cords from getting wrapped up around legs - which is honestly a huge awesome plus. I wasn't sure a backless stool would be my best ergonomic back saver, but it turns out it requires me to maintain good posture, which is another big huge plus.

Good backup seating for when the cat kicks you out of your regular chair

I bought this stool because it would fit in the back corner of my l-shaped desk, to be rolled out and used during those times in which my cat wiggles her way behind me in my regular chair, kicks me out of it and then takes over. Pro's: - very easy to assemble - took less than a minute - compact size easily fits out of the way in the far back corner of my l-shaped desk - rolls easily on my office chair plastic mat - swivels nicely and quickly - ring at the bottom to put your feet on - the box it comes in is the perfect size for a cat to play in Con's - seat is much too stiff for my flat, skinny, boney old-lady rump; I have to add a small sofa pillow to sit on if I am going to sit on it for more than five minutes - could have been a five-star stool if the seat were more padded and softer Aside from it being much too hard/stiff, it's a great desk stool

This stool is excellent. You cannot asked more for a stool of this type. Very comfortable, solid, very smooth mechanism for adjusting the height of the sitting bench.
