I ordered and received the larger (longer) B&S oil filter that I wanted.
I wanted to replace the small OEM oil filter with a larger capacity filter at the first oil change on my Husqvarna 22HP Briggs & Stratton V-Twin. I had concerns about it fitting correctly and the extra length not impinging the engine covers, etc. It fits well; It's Briggs & Stratton so I don't doubt that it filters efficiently, the oil should stay cooler and hold more 'dirt' than the small OEM filter, expecting to result in a longer engine lifespan-(Theoretically). But in reality, it probably makes no significant difference at all.

Good deal OEM parts
Obviously a bit great had a great bargain I bought six of them so wouldn't need one for a very long time the only thing I don't like about this filter in general or it may just be my lawn mower after you go to season a cutting it's an act of Congress to get it off and it collapses easy with the oil wrench the can Will collapse like a soda can so have to knock a screwdriver through it and pray.

OEM filter
I prefer using OEM parts where I can and this filter is the high capacity version of the one that came with my 23hp horizontal shaft Vanguard engine. It's an exact match other than being about an inch longer. Not a huge difference but if you have a choice why not got with a little larger filter..... Put it on the engine yesterday, changed the oil and fired it up. No leaks, everything is good to go and I have the assurance of having OEM parts on the engine. If you're running a knock off of a major brand engine I'd suggest using quality filters on them and usually the parts for the engine they cloned will fit. Just an opinion.

Works in a Husqvarna GT52XLSi with no clearance issues.
Installed on a GT52XLSi Husqvarna. No clearance issues on the side shield, it now touches the side shield but doesn’t cause side shield to bulge. Works good. Price isn’t offensive but would be nice to be cheaper. I used Briggs 30 weight oil for this mower, that’s what it calls for.

Longer, easier to install
I went with this one due to the short ones are almost impossible to get a hold of on my mower. Is it better, maybe, it has more filtering area but does that make it "better"? I can't really answer if it is or not, just get into a regular mantience program, change your oil and filter on a regular basis with whichever product you choose and you'll be fine.

As far as I can see this product suits the bill. Itr is very difficult to see how efficient this product is in the short term but if this is a genuine part, as stated, then it should do the job intended.

Appear to be suitable replacement
I ordered this filter as part of my shop supply replacement program. I have not yet installed the unit. However, it appears to be a very suitable replacement for the brand-name filter and comes at a considerable cost savings. I have rated it at four stars simply because I have not utilized it, as yet.
