Stansport High Powered CREE LED Headlight, 300 Lumen, 3 Light Modes, 2 Pack, good for camping. This LED headlight is AAA battery powered, is very bright, and has a 24-hour runtime. The headlight has 3 light modes: high beam, low beam, and flashing, plus it can zoom. Also, where the light beam points, high, low, or to the side, is adjustable. The device is sturdy and water resistant. The head strap is adjustable for comfort. The teens tested these headlights while out camping. They found them to work well when they needed to get around at night. They used the low light and had them point down while they were with the other folks. Otherwise, the bright light worked well when they were exploring or tending to chores if they needed more light. They found the head straps comfortable enough to wear for longer periods of time. They liked being able to see clearly without having to hold a flashlight and the adjustability of the light level.

bright !!

holy cow these little things are bright! They are adjustable, they fit my 5 yo's head, and my husbands head too! We don't go into like caves with these, we use them for backyard night games and my husband will occasionally use it if hes working on something and needs some light.

Very bright, a little snug on my head

This headlamp is pretty basic in some ways. It has just 3 lighting modes: bright, dim, and flashing. Bright is genuinely bright, probably too bright if you're around other people in the dark. I prefer the dim setting if I'm cooking or working around the campsite with other people. Thankfully it does have the ability to adjust the angle of the light, so you can have it pointed down toward the ground while you walk, without having to actually point your head down toward the ground. If you're sharing a campsite with other people, that's pretty important since nobody actually wants someone else's headlamp pointed up at their eyes. Unlike my other headlamps, these Stansport lamps have the ability to focus the beam of light, just like you can usually do with a handheld flashlight. At the widest angle, you still have a pretty well defined beam of light. At the most focused angle, you get a very narrow beam of light. I'm not sure when I would ever want my light beam focused like that, so I'm not really expecting to use that feature very much. There's an elastic band that goes around your head and another one that goes over top of your head, and they hold the light in place very effectively. My head is just a little larger than average, and I found the elastic was a little snug on me, even at its largest size. You can cinch it up smaller, though, so I think it would work well for most people, even kids. I really appreciated that it came with 3 AAA batteries, so it's ready to use straight out of the box.

Affordable for the amount and brightness

Nothing fancy or extreme here. Adjustable focus points, multi brightness option, easy to operate, easy to access replace batteries. It doesn't consume too much battery, I have been using these by carrying one in backpack and one in my truck, anytime I do work in datacenter or customer environment where I go in dark spots, I use these headlights to light up the dark spots in racks or IT closets. It will work for any purpose, not a killer brightness but it is plenty enough to do hiking, fishing, running, biking or anything you can imagine in dark. Lightweight and adjustable soft strap also makes it very comfortable and they are compact small sized.

Super bright and intuitive to use, good battery life but a tad bit small

Size is what keeps this from getting a 5-star review. I don't have a terribly large head but I do have , long hair, and the straps are very tight, and feel like if I move too quickly the strap will slip off my head. That said, it appears to be just a feeling as I have not had this actually happen. I use the headlight for walking my dogs to keep my hands free for leashes and pickups. It is incredibly useful for this and much brighter than the lamp it replaced (the battery door of which broke after a few years of use). The light seems to be efficient and batteries seem to last for several hours of use at the lower level. I use rechargeable batteries and have swapped them out as soon as I notice the brightness is starting to diminish. It is very intuitive to use and replace the batteries and the light is much brighter than I expected. I am pleased to highly recommend this Stansport head light.

Practical for camping

Small, light, and bright enough to be useful when camping. *Much* better than the old headlamps with incandescent bulbs. Haven't tested them in the rain but they seem put together well enough to handle modest precipitation anyway. No complaints.

Bright!

I don't exactly like headlamps - they always feel awkward on my head. But there's definitely a call for them when out of doors, such as camping. I liked finding this two-pack from a reputable camping gear manufacturer, as it is just the thing my wife and I needed. Lights are very bright, making them quite useful around the campsite.

Excellent

I got these for my kids to play with but have since taken them over. They are excellent for so many things! Working on household tasks in darker areas or working on the quad/tractor in the barn, etc. it is so handy to have hands free lighting. These things are BRIGHT! Very easy to operate and comfortable to wear.
