Game changer!! Works exactly as shown by pet owner crushing Vetmedin tablet for his dog!!
Thank goodness for that video online!! My small dog was recently diagnosed with a severe heart murmur & prescribed Vetmedin twice/daily. Those tablets are HUGE & hard as a rock!! They’re similar in size to the yellow & white Mucinex DM 12 hr tablets but slightly larger & even harder. Until I saw the video online, I tried cutting them into smaller & smaller pieces using my pill cutter & trying to smash them a spoon against the bottom of a metal food bowl! It took me forever & the pill still wasn’t reduced to a powder!! After watching that wonderful video, I ordered one from Amazon & tore into the packaging to get it out & use it ASAP for my dog’s Vetmedin pills!! My dog’s dosage is 3/4 of a pill. So I cut the pill into quarters & then crush each quarter separately. Works like a charm every time & reduces each quarter to fine powder without requiring any hand strength! I tried crushing 1/2 pill & it worked just as well at reducing it to a fine powder — it just takes a few more twists & turns of the top!! The finger tip size indentations in the top make it very comfortable to pick up & to rotate the top back & forth repeatedly. I also like the handy covered storage cavity built into the top & how easy it is to pop the top off that storage area with the indentation in the plastic. No worries about breaking a fingernail!! This amazing little device is so inexpensive that I eventually bought a second one as a spare. It’s made of very sturdy plastic & should last a very long time. My only complaint is with my husband. Why didn’t he invent this amazing little device with his engineering-type mind??!! ????

Get the large
The small size is more convenient but the large is what you want. I had 3 of the small and every one of them cracked. The large gives you the leverage needed to not have to twist so hard that makes the small one crack. I believe this one will last. Doesnt take nowhere the effort as the small to get the job done. And definately stay away from the small metal one (without the crank). Its so small and slippery i couldnt even get a grip. That one looked the best and performed the worse by far

Easily turns tablets to powder
This is a simple device, but it does it's job well. It is big and grippy (about 80 mm diameter and 73 mm tall), and has a large reservoir for crushing pills (33 mm diameter and 38 mm deep). Crushing is fairly effortless, and you can simply screw in and out a few times to ensure a thorough breakdown. It feels solidly constructed and I don't have any real concern that it might break. Given it's size I don't think it would be all that great for travel, but for me it simply sits on my desk unobtrusively for when I need it.

Leverage Is Your Friend
Overall, works quite well. If you are only crushing a couple of pills, in this case, 2 extra strength Rolaids, doesn't quite get it to a fine powdery state. Granular is better than chunks though. While you are grinding the pills, don't go all out trying to crush everything in one go. Screw the parts together until you hear & feel the pills getting crunched. Back off the 2 pieces a little bit, shake it, & then screw back together again. You may have to this a few times. Otherwise, you'll potentially break the unit within a week. Quite sturdy & we didn't blow it out.

Easy to use. Love it
I bought this pill crusher because I need to give my fur baby her anti itch medicine every day. And it’s a lot easier and more convenient to crush it and put it in her wet food instead trying to shove it down her throat. I tried giving it to her with treats or just put a pill in her food and mix it with food but she always ate around it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone whether you need to crush/grind medicine for yourself or your pets. And it also has a pill storage in it, which makes it convenient when traveling/ vacationing.

Find if hard to take pills?
My wife has had trouble taking pills for some time now and stopped taking some because of this. With a new prescription I needed to find another solution and this fit the bill completely. After crushing the pills I sprinkle them over ice cream but they can be mixed with just about any thing you can think of. While you can’t crush gel tablets these can be pierced with a pin and the contents squeezed out.

Use along with a pill splitter for the largest, hardest pills.
We have very large, hard magnesium tablets that are almost impossible to crush in one piece- even using this tool.. But if you first cut them into fourths with a pill splitter , you can easily crush all the pieces into dust in one go with this.

Grinds to a fine powder
I tried other pill crushers that left fairly large pieces of pill and didn’t grind them completely. This one is easy to use, works great, and was quite reasonably priced. I might have to replace it after a few months but I don’t mind, and I don’t know that it will need replacing, just that it’s offered for subscribe and save and I usually assume that those items need replacing regularly. It fits my hands perfectly, but I have medium sized hands. If yours are very small you might want to see if they have a smaller size.

Fantastic item
Buy this item, seriously. Works on the smallest tablet and after a couple of rotations the tablet is turned into a fine powder. Has made my life so much easier. You can also lift cap on top of the lid and store some of your tablets. Very refreshing to find an item that actuslly works as well as you'd hoped.

makes life easier
this little device really does what it is intended to do, it is a lot larger in diameter than my previous cheapy crusher,(around 2 3/4 inches) that is due to the easy grip handles.... however, the dish / port / hole whatever you wish to call it isn't much different in size, this for me isn't a problem as it is still capable of taking 3 large yumove tablets for my muttleys, pop them in and screw down the top... this is where this crusher excels over my previous one, as it takes very little effort to do so, would suggest tightening then loosening just a touch then re-tightening rather than exerting too much pressure, but as said easy peasy and no teatowels or rubber gloves required to get a good grip..... My only complaint, and for me is no issue, but may be for others, the lid that covers the pill storage pot in the top is next to useless, falls out as soon as you pick the crusher up (the white bit shown in the picture)...

Works well, but...
.. but I wish the two parts were a little further apart: as I twist the two to turn the tablets to powder (which it does well), I too easily catch my nails from one hand against my fingers on the other. Not drawn blood yet (perhaps I need to cut my nails right down??), but the day will . Otherwise, 'does what it says on the tin'.

Breaks tablets to powder.
Product was good value for money. Used it whilst in hospital for hip replacement. Due to previous throat cancer problems can’t swallow tablets and other devices did not break them down enough but this did the trick. Good hand grip for great grinding ????????
