I reviewed this wer-dry vac a couple of months ago and am going to add my additional notes below the original: First, we have a large "drool-y" dog and my dark engineered wood floors have water spots and pawprints no matter how much I try to clean him off. This machine does a very decent job of cleaning these floors but here are some things to consider: VACUUM FIRST. Yes, this machine is called a vacuum but ALWAYS vacuum before using it. Otherwise debris and dirt will clog the filters and roller brush constantly. DAMPEN THE ROLLER BEFORE USING or you'll use a lot of solution to saturate it, and the roller doesn't clean very well at the beginning of the job when it's dry. TAKE YOUR TIME. A slow back-and-frth motion is best for cleaning. USE BOTH OPTION BUTTONS ON TOP OF THE HANDLE. The "hard floor" button dispenses a little water into the roller and then the vacuum sucks up the dirty water. The "area rug" button dispenses more solution and I find that I need to use this option in especially dirty areas (such as where our dog has dropped water after he has had a drink while I'm not home to wipe it up). WORKS BEST ON SMOOTH HARD SURFACES AND AREA RUGS. We have "hand scraped" floors and the brush doesn't hit the floor evenly, so it takes some extra time to clean these floors. The machine cleans smaller area rugs very well, too. ALWAYS USE THE SELF-CLEAN feature after you are done with the machine. It takes about 20 minutes to do it right, and the parts (such as the roller brush) take at least a day to air dry. And rinse the brush, too. After the dirt and debris dry in the machine, it will be difficult to clean out and keep the machine working effectively. Also-- dump the dirty water outside but not down your sink (especially if you have pets) I have posted a photo of the small tool caddy and tools that come with it, and what the tools and slots are used for. All in all, I like this machine very much. It does a good job of cleaning and doesn't put as much stress on my shoulders as using my previous sponge mop did. It is a little fussy, figuring out how to best use it and needing to clean it afterward, but the result is worth it. EDITED TO ADD: To be honest, the novelty has worn off a bit. Proper cleaning of this machine and its parts after using is a pain. Our "hand scraped" floors just don't clean evenly. And even though I use distilled water and the Eureka cleaner in it, I often have to go over areas again. But there's nothing else out there that is any better (I've looked for over a year) so I will just deal with it.

Things it may come up

Update dec 16, 22: Tonight the rotation of the roller stopped when applied to the floor. When I tipped it back the roller will spin at a slower rate. Thinking whatever makes the rpm's spin wore out. So calling on the warrenty here soon. Original post: I bought this in april 2022 Using it on cement flooring, being I always have sick kittoes in their end of life progession. I know eureka has great motors lasting for long periods of time. The short 25ft cord is necesssry for more power to the motor suction works wonders for flooring. The lack of filters when I bought this was something new since it would be a good idea to have two, one is waiting to dry as the other can be in use. The other is streaks across the floor while in use. This is caused by clogging into the intake vent behind the roller, just use anything to pull out the clog, normally by cat hair as its soggy and clogs easily. The last was the blinking of both floor buttons on top when the roller won't engage when the handle was pushed down and shuts off. This was something it took me a few thoughts why. I know theirs no repair shops who service these as I called around for filters and a roller. They always commented they don't touch them for they can't get the parts and customer service overseas is so rude. So I know I must figure this out or buy something else. I took the cover screw over the roller out to pull back to see the belt still intact. Wondered earlier a rubbing sound coming from the wheel before, then it sounded normal. I decided to spray the turning wheel to the roller with lubricant. Finally released working again like new. My beef is the last time I called eureka service dept is when they were being trransferred overseas as the rep told me then good luck in the future. Otherwise for the money and trouble shooting your own problems I like the floor vac. over mopping

Cleans very well, sometimes leaves fluid on floor.

This machine cleaned my very old hardwood floors that haven't been cleaned in years very well. The only thing I think could be improved is a squeegee added to the front as there was sometimes liquid left on the floor that wasn't suctioned up. Overall, I would recommend this to others!

Worked well until…!

I do like the machine. It worked really well until it didn’t. After about the third time of using it, the self cleaning portion quit working. I have been going around and around with Eureka trying to get it fixed or replaced. They have one excuse after the other. Most of the excuses have been that they cannot read my purchase order, my purchase receipt, or the serial number. They say they’re too blurry. Funny thing, I forwarded it to some other people and they could read most of it just fine. The serial number was a little blurry, but if you expand it, you can read it. Just fix it or replace it already. I really do not want to purchase another one. If it comes to that, I will not buy another Eureka. Bad customer service can cause loss of business.

Light weight easy to operate

I found this product perfect for my needs I live in a small apartment with my 2 cats this vacuum is perfect size and light weight enough for me to manoeuvre around. It’s a great little vacuum :)

Lite weight and has power

Wow!! What a great upright vaccum! Great suction, I could not believe what it pulled out of my area rugs. I love the lite weight as it doesn’t bother my back and I can easily carry it around. Highly recommend this vacuum.
