Not what the picture depicts

These are made out of soft rubber. Horns are hollow and helmet had folds and creases. I tried pouring very hot water on it thinking it might go back to original shape. Didn't work. I ended up pushing paper towel into the horns to give them more of a cylinder appearance. When placed on the head the folds did smooth out for the most part. I failed to read the description carefully and went with the picture that was posted, which appears to be a more ridged material. Disappointing at first but made it work and look ok.

SKOL SKOL SKOL

Did I feel like a Viking in this helmet?!? Did it matter that I wore it to my 6 year old daughters soccer game?!? It did not. I felt like a Viking and the parents around me felt my SKOL vibe. My daughters team won the tournament and I attribute it to this helmet! Get this helmet. It folds easy into your pocket. Pull it out and bam you are a Viking.

I purchased this for another son-in-law as a joke.He has Norwegian DNA so he decided he was a Viking and he really liked it and it fit his head perfectly.

It's exactly what you think it is.

If you’re buying this as a gag gift…

Then it suffices. But it’s a much more flimsy material than the images make you think it is. Thankfully were getting it as a gag gift but it comes with instructions on how to get the creases out n yeah…that didn’t work for crap. Even tried sitting it on a ball, overnight, hopeful that would help.. nope. So kind of not worth the $ but, it served its purpose enough so I don’t want to rate it worse just want to give the forewarning if you’re using it for anything more than a laugh…

Kind of small but it will fit a 7&3/4" head

I recommend lightly stretching this rubber cap over a ball or some kind of stuffing to work out the wrinkles and stuffing tissues or paper towels into the horns. The back of the helmet ripped a little, but not worth sending back.

Good Looking Viking Helmet!

This is a nice looking costume helmet, completely made of a rubber material. The silver finish gives it a vintage look, and there is texturing on the actual "hat" portion. The helmet arrived promptly and looked good right out of the box. The horns stand up nicely on their own. Some reviewers suggested stuffing them to additional firmness. (I tried that, and it did firm the horns up a bit -- but is not really necessary.) I did find the fit to be quite large for me. I am a 5'3" woman, and my hat size is average. Although I planned to wear the helmet with a wig, it was still a bit large, and I was concerned about it falling off if I looked down. To alleviate my concerns, I hot glued a strip of rubber window weather-stripping all the way around the inside rim of the helmet. This was a quick and easy "fix". Now the rubber weather stripping ring holds the helmet very snuggly on my head.

Looks good

So one other review said it was big and they had a big head, I disagree, It is a bit small but can squeeze on my head. One other note this is foam hat not hard plastic

A good looking helmut. Will be used for years to come.

Even being a rubbery imitation it still looked better than most other helmets. I tried and liked another reviewers suggestion of putting a strip of foam insulation around inside forehead to get the fit just right. Thanks.
