If you have to ask why so much $ for a non-carbon, no-gimmick cage . . .
. . . this isn't for you (and/or you're my spouse). Either you imprinted on these in the era of Campy delta brakes and Spinaci clip-ons and the copper buttons are things you have to have in your life, or you didn't and they're not. Replaced (lighter, cheaper, perfectly functional) Blackburn Chicane stainless cages on my lugged steel Serotta with these and sighed w/ deep happiness. Note: happily, the cages came without the "Elite" sticker shown in picture. (Aluminum version does have this sticker). Further note: they say these don't scuff your water bottles. That may be, but if scuffed water bottles bother you, seek help. :)

metal bottle cages
more stylish than lightweight, these look great on a classic road bike. you can bend them a bit if you need to adjust the tension. beware of corrosion damage to the copper.

good bottle cage
holds my bottles better than a king cage. the two buttons actually help to compress the bottle and hold it in place. otherwise, they just flop about. this is lightweight for a metal cage. i could buy a carbon fiber bottle cage, but that's as ridiculous as buying carbon fiber spacers.

Very good quality and the rubber or plastic tabs will help hold in bottles that don't have the detent in their shape.

Extremely poor build quality and materials.
Arrived badly welded, dinted and marked. The joint where the steel meets up looks like it was put together and welded up by a blind man with no prior welding experience. It is also supposed to be stainless steel, yet it was covered in some kind of varnish?? I have seen better products come out of a school design & technology lesson. Sent straight back to Amazon. Doesn’t even come close to the quality of a 15 year old Elite cage I still own.

Hey Leute. Ich habe mir diesen Flaschenhalter für mein altes Rennrad bestellt, da ich dieses etwas ältere Design einfach passender finde. Jetzt könnte man sagen, Puhhh ziemlich teuer für so ein bisschen Metall was in Form gebogen wurde! Naja…wenn man jetzt mal schaut was diese Plastikdinger teilweise schon kosten, ist es noch okay. Flasche wird sicher gehalten und das ist ja schließlich auch der Sinn dahinter. Von mir gibts grünes Licht dafür! Ride safe! Ahoi

Classico portaborraccia della Elite in acciaio
Questo è il classico portaborraccia della Elite in acciao, molto adatto per bici vintage dato il suo stile un po' retrò ma volendo anche per bici più moderne. Esite anche una versione in alluminio, di forma un po' differente. Ovviamente non è leggero come i modelli in carbonio, in compenso è molto resistente e la borraccia infilata risulta abbastanza stabile. I due plastichini tondi rossi aiutano a tenere ferma la borraccia senza graffiarla. Un difetto: io avrei previsto un fermo in plastica morbida anche sulla parte superiore, quella che blocca la borraccia in verticale. I fori per le viti sono a distanza standard, è molto facile da montare. Io l'ho usato per una bici da corsa degli anni '70 e ci sta molto bene, quindi sono soddisfatto

Queda espectacular
No tiene demasiado buen agarre para botes grandes, pero la estética en una bici clásica de acero es espectacular. Son un poco caros pero bueno, son muy bonitos y tampoco los he comprado para echar carreras :), sin embargo para uso offroad no nos recomiendo en absoluto, en casi cualquier bajada con baches pierdes un bidón.

Ottimo prodotto
Do quattro stelle invece che cinque, non perchè il prodotto non sia valido, ma perchè, nella foto è raffigurato con un decal o stampa col brand sulla gabbietta, ma ne ho comprati due ed entrambi erano sprovvisti.
