Very impressed!

Just to let you all know, I've been buying either Estee Lauder or Lancome foundation for at least 20 years. With everything being as expensive as it is, I decided to give the E.L.F. brand a shot and so glad I did! It was difficult to choose a color, so in all I ended up buying eight different shades and found out that Buff was the right color for me. I have fair skin, blonde hair, blue eyes and have both pink and yellow undertones. I also have hyperthyroidism, which tends to leave my skin red, regardless. This foundation covers everything perfectly without feeling cake-y or drying my skin out. I also have sensitive skin, but did not have any reactions to this at all. It also has a lovely scent, which is so nice because my other two brands smell like paint, which is so gross. I do recommend using a Sigma F80 flat Kabuki brush for any foundation. It is a little pricey, but if you take care of it properly, it will make your makeup experience so much better and last a very long time. I have not been paid to endorse any products mentioned and I am not a fake reviewer. This foundation isn't perfect, but for the price it can not be beat. Lastly, I always reccomend using a primer before applying any foundation. No Poreblem is one of my favorites. Hope this review helps anyone having the same issues I've been having! :-)

Fit my skin type

I actually really like this tinted moisturizer I have combination to oily skin. I find it great to wear on no makeup, makeup days- especially in the summer. Since it's a tinted moisturizer, the coverage isn't amazing but it evens out my skin when I apply I actually like the finish it gives. I just apply w/ my fingers just like I would with a regular moisturizer. I don't really mind the smell either- it resembles the scent of a very light sunscreen. Found it for like $3, so the price was unbeatable. I recommend applying some type of powder on your face because it can get a little oily throughout the day.

Good coverage, breathable !

This foundation is very good ! Definitely worth the money. I’ve never been good at picking out foundation shades so this one was really orangey-red. I have extreme acne scarring and hyperpigmentation on my neck and face which makes it extremely dark so it’s hard to see if shades match and for foundation to properly cover my face. THIS PRODUCT PROVIDES GREAT COVERAGE!! I highly recommended. It Doesnt feel heavy and caky while somehow providing coverage. Although I do recommend using either brush or Korean flat puff !!

E.L.F. Foundation

I primarily use E.L.F. products for all my makeup needs. For the price it can’t be beat. This foundation has great coverage and goes on easily. It’s not greasy and feels lightweight on my aging skin.

Great color match for very fair skin

I love the color of this foundation, I just wish it was a little thinner. It takes a few tried to apply it without looking too thick. I use moisturizer and the putty primer underneath the foundation but also have to add a little moisturizer to the foundation to spread evenly. It lasts all day and does not cause my sensitive skin to break out.

Good Coverage

I was skeptical at first and probably bought a shade to light but nothing a light bronzer can't fix. I am constantly moving in a fast paced environment at work and have hot flashes. A LOT OF THEM. This doesn't run or wear off and stays in place rather well. Pleasantly surprised by this foundation. Will most likely purchase again.

Amazing foundation

I chose a lighter color (pearl) for foundation because i feel it slightly fades as the day goes on. I mix this with a couple of drops of vitamin E oil then i dab throughout my face. This way the foundation wont crease under my eyes. This is my go to foundation.

Best foundation I've used

I got the Pearl shade, as I'm quite pale. I wanted this foundation to smooth out my skin, and still look natural. I think it does achieve this, I think it still makes my skin look natural but the dark was under my eyes has depleted. The foundation is really lightweight, and non-sticky so my face feels soft and not tacky afterwards. I read reviews where people had difficulty applying it with a makeup brush, so I used a soft sponge and got a nice amount of coverage, and it's wasn't hard to apply either. It does take a few minutes to dryly, but this means its malleable, so I don't get peaches drying sooner than others. I have dry skin, bit this does not dry out and doesn't come off easily with touching my face before a set spray is used. All in all a great foundation for those who want natural, lightweight coverage. It's the best I've used, plus it smells really nice!

Cheap + Cruelty free + mostly non harmful ingredients for acne + not orange!!

This foundation is great for the price!! And the shade range is great. I am cool toned and very pale, and I got the shade swan. The first foundation I have tried that is pale enough and not too yellow/orange :) It applies fairly matte, definitely best to blend with a damp beauty blender rather than anything else. I used it with the elf prep + hydrate stick and I think if you’ve got normal/dry skin you’ll definitely need a moisturising primer like that. It covers well, I think it’s best to do a thin layer and then reapply in more pigmented areas such as breakouts/acne scars if you’re wanting an even base. This is definitely the most full coverage foundation I’ve used but it doesn’t look cakey at all. I also mixed in a drop of face oil into it after putting some on the back of my hand, this gives it a slightly glowing and more natural look which I personally prefer. It still lasted well all day using this method. (I have combination skin) TLDR: Swan is great if you’re pale, not wanting to spend a lot of money and wanting a flexible level of coverage whilst not being cakey. 1st photo: drop of squalene oil mixed with two pumps of foundation 2nd photo: just foundation with powder applied after

Elf never misses.

I decided to try this foundation again recently after running out of it a few years ago. I clearly just forgot how good it was. The foundation looks beautiful on the skin and you can keep layering and building the coverage up without it looking cakey or bringing out the texture of your skin. If anything it looks smoother the more you put on. I really like the shade range this foundation has as it seems to cater to a lot of different undertones. The shade “Pearl” is perfect for me. The perfect shade for people on the paler side. After setting with a finishing powder, my acne prone skin looked almost airbrushed and it lasted great throughout the day even without a primer. I personally like the smell, I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not overpowering and it did not irritate my skin. The foundation didn’t seem to cause any acne. Overall, I’m a big fan of this foundation :)

Honest review

Honest review: Pros: Great foundation for “every day”. It’s very silky and feels nice on the skin. It’s not heavy or cake-y. A buildable foundation. Applies well and isn’t patchy (like so many others are!) Cons: Shade was off (likely due to me buying online). A bit chalky. The swatch pic on the advertisement makes the consistency look thicker than it actually is (its more runny in real life than the buttery look in the ad). Doesn’t last long at all. It’s like a tinted moisturiser. Just melts into the skin and disappears ???? Personal view: I wanted something more affordable, light and pliable (with more coverage) than my huda beauty foundation. But this was just really runny, pale and didn’t last long. Can imagine there are better quality foundations at this price range. Don’t buy this if you’re looking for a night out makeup. Great foundation for every day when you can’t be bothered getting all done up. Would recommend trying your shade in store before purchasing to avoid disappointment. OUTSTANDING!!

I struggle really bad with any foundation due to larger pours, perimenalpausal skin, uneven skin tone due to change in hormones, my skin is dull and I do have dark circles due to lack of sleep/stress. I can honestly say, hands down this product gives my skin, a lovely flawless natural finish. I use "buff" because it's pretty much my skin tone, all it does is even everything out! make me look healthy, its lightweight and being perimenalpausal I do suffer from sweaty brow when it's comes to around that time of the month. I have tried, thousands of products. All price ranges, this has been and will always be my go too. It's not cakey, it's not oily, just velvety soft and flawless stays on all day without soaking into my skin. Suitable for layering up, during the day 1 coat is sufficient for me. A night out I put 2 coats on. I can honestly say do not change this product in anyway shape or form. Thanks E.L.F!
