I was annoyed by this pump for two reasons
At first I was very excited to try out this product. I thought that it would save a lot of time and effort over using the hand pump that I have. However, I was annoyed by this pump for two reasons. First, it was much slower than I expected. So, while it was certainly less difficult to partially inflate my kayak with this pump, it seemed to take longer than with the regular pump. Second, this pump is incredibly loud. I would certainly not have purchased this pump if I realized how loud it is. The purpose of kayaking, for me, is to go out and enjoy a day in nature. The pump is so obnoxious that it seriously impedes that while it is on. I used the pump once, and I haven't gone back to it. I still bring it along and I would use it in a pinch, but for now I am much happier with my hand pump.

Great pump for the money.
Time will tell but so far its great! Fills up our Sea Eagle 370 inflatable in a fraction of the time as the foot bellows pump that came with it. I still use the foot pump to get it up to pressure (maybe 3 or 4 pumps) but this little guy blows some serious air. I dont think its that noisy. Not enough to complain about anyways. I do agree with other reviewers that the cord could be a bit longer. If you have a 12 volt outlet in your hatch or trunk the length shouldn't be an issue though. Comes with an adapter for Boston valves which are what are on the Sea Eagles and a lot of the boat towables.

Better than I expected!
I purchased this 12v inflator to inflate a party raft that I recently purchased for my boat. It's a large raft so I needed a pump that would inflate it quickly AND provide enough pressure so I didn't need to top it off with another pump. This inflator works perfectly. It was quick, not too loud, and is small and light in your hand. The included adaptors snapped onto the pump and fit my raft perfectly. It also deflates (in reverse) in about the same amount of time. It's too early to say how durable it is, but I hope it holds up. If I encounter any issue(s), I'll update this post, otherwise assume it's still running great!

Underpowered; Hand-pump required to completely inflate kayak
Bought this to inflate my Advanced Elements Inflatable Kayak. However, it is underpowered and will not completely fill the main chambers of the kayak; they need to "topped off" with a hand pump. So you need two pumps. Cumbersome. A friend loaned me a beefier pump and it inflates the main chamber quickly and completely. I will return this item.

Not compatible w Advance Element fitting
Did not connect to my advance element valves which is strange as AV recommended this product. If u have Advanced Element hand pump you have to make an adapter so you can us the hand pump tube which has the AV valve fittings.

Excellent value
Worked great for inflating a very large raft. I use it with a portable car starter 12 V battery on the dock and it was a whole lot easier than a foot pump. Also works as a deflator for pulling all the air out when packing it up. Comes with 3 nozzle sizes to fit various devices. TIP- don't cut the tie between the 3 nozzles. You will find that you need more than one on certain rafts and you won't lose them if they stay together.

it works good for water tubes, I havent really try it on anything else. I got this inflator back in 2011 and iv used it every summer work great for its size. lo recomiendo muy bueno

Why bother??
This pump is not strong enough tp inflate AE kayaks! Why do they even offer it? We returned it, bought the manual which works very well and inflates our kayaks quickly!
