Reaches Young Children To Explore Various Areas in Science!

Tried these with various primary school-aged children and the reading and descriptions on the back of the cards for the younger ones was challenging, which made the experience of learning less basic and more interesting. An adult reading the back of the cards will quickly learn that the subject matter is not watered-down whatsoever, but a factual representation of the subject. Therefore would be suitable for 3rd graders and up for the reading to be easier but the science, which appears to be accurate and written like a short paragraph is more valuable than reading level for an intellectual and fun lesson between any K+ student with a teacher/parent. The six categories are as follows: Flowers and Bugs; Mammals and Marsupials; Under the Water; Birds and Leaves; Weather and Celestial; Fossils and Minerals. The 48 cards appear to be laminated because they are thick, glossy and slippery but easy to hold and probably easy to clean if necessary. The front of the cards display hand-drawn illustrations with a playful quality. Also, each category has its own unique colorful border (on both sides) to help when grouping them. They measure 4 x 5 and 3/4 with a ruler.

Nice

I like the artwork on one side and facts on the other side. However, I wouldn't call these "flashcards" because in my experience flashcards have a question or something to ask on one side and answers or info on the other. These just have a picture on one side and my children are suppose to just start telling anything they know already about that animal/insect/etc. I will use these cards because I still like them but not very fun as trivia or flashcards. The art is beautiful though.

Beautiful cards with great information!

These eeBoo Natural Earth and Science flash cards are beautiful! They are larger than other flash cards we have and made of thicker, better quality materials. I also love the charming illustrations, which are by far the nicest I've seen. The information on these cards is fun and I have to say that even I have learned a thing or two from these cards. These are really fun way to pass some time on a trip. We found ways to quiz each other and make up games to pass the time in the car... and we learned some things in the process.

Excellent conversation started for parents.

I am very happy I discovered these flash cards. Excellent source of conversation when I can’t find anything to talk about with my 4 year old. I am going to repurchase this and other types. It will be excellent gift for birthday kids too. I am surprised how fast I received them too.

Good flash cards

I bought it for my nephew and he really likes them. The pictures are nice enough to "talk" to a 4 years old and the explanation is good without being too complex. I recommend them.

Beautifully illustrated and interesting

Got these for my 8 year old's birthday and he has really enjoyed learning about the different things on each card. I like that there are a lot of cards and that there are many different categories.
