installed behind sound bar - great functionality; consider size
I put this wall plate to feed electric and AV wiring above our fireplace to behind our sound bar. The functionality and looks are great. It was easy enough to install - if you've done any other wall outlet with swing out clamps you'll have no problem putting this in. With two coats of paint, the plate is easily camouflaged. Please note however, if you look at specifications, the dimensions are (wrongly) listed at 2.7 x 2.7 x 2.7". The wall plate is actually 4.25 x 5.25" (wxh). I was specifically looking to hide this behind a 3" sound bar, and obviously missed the mark. Because I was going for inconspicuous wiring, the discrepancy was disappointing. I ended up painting to try to hide better. All said and done, it looks fine. There are not a lot of options out there for recessed AV / 120V combo. If you need only one outlet with A/V, and you're not worried about footprint, this is a no brainer - I'd recommend. If you're going for a perfect fit, consider the above. Hope this helps.

Easy to Install and fit and finish is excellent
I had to retro-fit a TV and run wire to a cabinet on a new home we purchased. I was looking for some way to pull the wires and provide power to a DVD player and game set. This product provided excellent instructions and it’s fit and finish is great. One thing to remember when installing a product like the Eaton is you need a outlet box on the right hand side for the outlet. In order to meet code this is a requirement so make sure you pick a retro-fitting outlet box when you purchase this. Great product and large enough to pull all your HDMI or other cables into whatever space your placing your electronic equipment.

Not bad, good quality
Not bad, good quality. I wish the power recessed box was a little deeper in. As the power cable i have for the TV still protrudes out.

Must have for tv wall mounting
Exactly what I've been looking for. Been mounting tv's to walls for years and this makes power and cable access a breeze. Does the job and cheaper than the home depot stuff. One small detail, you must purchase single inwall box separately for the power side. 5 stars!

Turn and Run away.
I've never been more disappointed with such a simple product. It claims to include all the parts to secure the box but how are you supposed to mount this thing? The high voltage side expects to be secured inside a handy box (per code) but it wont line up with a standard wall box! The low voltage wall tabs broke off when trying to tighten them down! Absolute junk.
