Works well as intended.

Ok for panfish, but not for big fish.

The stringer is extremely thin, so it will more easily cut into your hand while dragging big salmon off the Salmon River in NY, or anywhere else with big fish. Also, the pointed end for passing through the gill/mouth is far too short. This shortness will force one to put one’s hands into the mouth, in range of rows of razor-sharp teeth. Not a good scenario. Ok for panfish, far from ideal for big fish.

Works, but way overpriced

I regret buying this. It works fine but a length of poly twine, the tip of an old knitting needle, and an old keyring and I would have had exactly the same thing for a quarter of the price.

Lost me one big fish

The metal ring will fail, and you will lose your fish????

Do not loop your catch through the metal ring at the end of stringer. I put 2 sheepshead fish on and loop it through the ring. Moments later, the ring was gone so were the fish. Tie your own loop instead.
