Made a two stage filter system for my home.
I made a two stage filter system for my home before my water softener. First cartridge is a paper filter and the second cartridge is carbon block filter. It works well and for under $100 installed you can beat the price.

Leaks
Spending a lot of time plugging leaks. Otherwise works as intended.

Way better than buying the expensive filters from the camper company
I replaced the filter canister that came with my camper to this one and the filters are readily available and a lot let expensive.

My Awesome 2-Stage Filter System
UPDATE 9/14/2020 : My units are leaking. I am not sure from where. It may be the seal rings need replacing. I will replace and test. I shopped around like crazy for something I could use for a whole-house filter system without having to pay the big bucks. I came across this product and read the reviews of some who did some pretty nice multi-stage configurations. So I decided to buy two of these to make a 2-stage whole-house system with the first stage being the included filter (think it is 15micron) and the second stage is the charcoal filter. Next I had to learn quickly how to solder copper pipe as I've never done it before. A few Youtube videos later I went to work on my system. In the process I discovered my main gate valve was bad so that is a bonus as I replaced it with a ball valve. Now I want to Pay Forward by adding photos and explanation here to help others because those who did the same really helped me to decide to go forward with this product and project and it has been working for a couple months or so without any issues. In the photos below, the first photo shows the valve arraignment that I went with after reading the comments of others here. I purchased 3 ball valves for this here on Amazon that had the wing type handles only because they were the least expensive. They work great. Valve #1 and #2 add or remove the filter loop from the system. When #1 and #2 are closed, valve #3 is opened to allow water to go to the house without the filters. When putting the filter system in play, valve #3 is turned off, and valve #1 and #2 are opened to cause the water to loop through the filters. You can see the complete filter loop 2-stage system in photo 3. In photo 2, I added a coupling just after valve #1 and another just after the second filter. This is so that if anything were to happen to the filter housings themselves, I will be able to remove this stretch of copper pipe without cutting and re-soldering. I decided to do whatever it takes to make this a super low-maintenance system and I believe I achieved this. Note: Be sure to press the red button above the filters when putting them into play just to bleed out any air. I do this actually before opening Valve #2 after the filters so as not to add any additional air into the house plumbing. In the last photo, you see the complete system with the housing I built for it out of 3/4" plywood. This not only protects my system from things bumping into the piping (this is my garage, btw) but it provides storage for the filters and filter tools and additional storage on top! As a last note, the water pressure coming out of my faucets and showers shows NO decline in pressure. If I didn't know for a fact that the filters were not being bypassed, I'd have sworn it was. And for extra giggles, I installed a nice RO system under the kitchen sink. So we have pretty good water everywhere in the house on the cheap!

Works great in NON-FREEZING temps
However in freezing temps it burst. Though our trailer was rated for 4 SEASONS down to 0deg F, the Pump didn't, the water lines didn't, but IT DID. There may be better ones out there, or maybe they are all like that. We now put the filter outside and disconnect the water lines at night When temps are going under 32deg for more than 3 hours.

Use extra Teflon tape when it come to putting the fittings into the filter. see pictures
I liked the price and would buy again as I already bought 2 of these. Look at the picture it shows how far the brass fitting went in that was with lots of Teflon tape. its like they made the input and exit holes a little to big. just got to say come back after install and double check they have sealed, as I am glad I did and I had to put more Teflon on the fittings to stop them from leaking. put on gauges to tell me when the filters are getting plugged. (great idea from other reviewers) Also from other reviewers a shut off valve in close proximity is a very good thing. I chose to do the setup this way the first filter takes out the bigger particles and the second will take out the really small particles. hopefully lengthening the time on each filter Now my whole house is running chlorine free.

Absolutely perfect for what I needed!
I needed a single filter to place under a sink on the patio. This worked perfectly! The metal bracket was slightly bent - looked the package got dropped in shipping. Not a big deal. I just used a crescent wrench to gently bend it back straight. I used 3/4"MPT x 1/2"MPT brass fittings to connect to water lines. Tip: clean the 3/4 threads well. Thread into filter housing to confirm fit - will be slightly loose first few spins but should thread just fine. Unscrew and wrap teflon tape on threads - about 4-5 turns; taper it to the end so it's thicker as it threads in. Just teflon tape on the side that spins into the filter housing. You do not need teflon tape on the other side if your water line fitting has a rubber gasket. Do not over tighten! I had zero leaks. The filter cartridge that comes with the housing is a coarse pre-filter. Good for removing logs and frogs. I ordered a 1 micron 10 inch carbon cartridge and used that inside. Half micron would be better but the water flow is better with 1 micron.

Good Product, no leaks, works well - here's what else you need to complete the install
We use this under the sink to filter incoming city water. Works well, tastes fine, no leaks. I wanted an under the sink filter that was similar to the system used in my RV. That system was reliable, didn't drop pressure and easy to change etc. This product is an exact copy (outside of brand) of what is installed in my RV - now I just need to stock the same type of 10" filter for both. I'm writing this because every other review has been about the filter but not much on what is needed to install for an under sink, city water application. Entire project took 30mins. Installation is straight-forward IF you are aware of the following: - Housing requires NPT/MIP fittings. DO NOT use MHT nor Garden hose thread. - I needed 2 O rings per side, but this entirely depends on the depth of the Male thread in the adaptor you purchase. - The housing’s water line (incoming and outgoing water) are sized 3/4" NPT/MIP (NOT MHT or Garden hose thread) - Typical braided water lines have a female end that connects to house line are typically sized 1/2” OD. - in my case I used 2x 3/4" MIP male to 2x 1/2" OD (Male) adaptors (Brass, lead free of course) SPECIAL NOTE: - The key to leak free operations is to tape your threads (5-6 turns clockwise) and using O-rings. - Fit the adaptors into the filter with O-rings (I used 2 per side) - You may need another set of hands to hold the filter housing as tighten the adaptors - The key is to ensure the adaptors compress the O-rings sufficiently for leak free operation but not enough to destroy the O-rings. Do this on both sides. - Then mount the filter under the sink - Connect the braided line (again you want to snug up then tighten 1/2 to 3/4 turn) - Open the faucet, then turn the under sink water valve on slowly at first, let all the air from housing and lines out thru the faucet, and when the spitting is finished and you have constant stream then turn it on full - Test pressure and inspect the adapters and lines by closing faucet for leaks - You should not have any weeping or sweating thru the thread tape nor adaptors. If you do, its not tight enough or you don't have enough O-rings between the adaptor and the filter housing. Good Luck!

Ok depending on price
Bought because of name brand the only problem was finding nipples to fit and buying replacement cartridges at a good price ok I suppose the niples are quite expensive and hard to find

Not satisfied
I used this product for filtering my ground water after collecting in a over head tank. except filter, rest of all the components are OK. I had have to buy the filters again and again. For the same purpose I am using Aqua-pure AP801C in a different channel, It works fine. I came to this product as an alternative aconomic product but not satisfied.

High Quality!! A++++
I wish I would have installed this many years ago. I’m on city water so I have no sediment issues, only flavour & taste. So I installed a carbon block filter. The filter housing is very durable.. the mount is metal which was another reason I chose this model. I haven’t changed the filter as it’s only been 3 weeks but will report back on how it goes. Highly recommended from the Wheeler household! I changed the filter at the 1 month Mark now. Why? Just to see if there was any difference. The filter housing removed with ease (make sure NOT to over tighten it) & was clean. Did I notice a difference in taste? NO. So my filter was still good. All depends on how much water it filters & the type/make/model of filter u use. I’m super happy with this purchase!

Not a good buy
This product is not suitable for whole house application. The filter is so fine that every 24 hours I had to wash it. After 7 days it completely stopped the water flow and I had to remove the same.
