Same elastic as stored, much better price.

This is the same elastic I would normally buy in my local sewing/craft store but at a much better price per yard. The roll in a box is easy to store.

Good general purpose stuff

So far so good. Time will tell on the durability tho. Used to sew clip in waste bands for a chest rig to hold rifle magazines.

Great to replace tie cords in pants

I like to wear sweat pants in the fall, winter and spring. Of course, new sweat pants come with a tie cord around the waist... I hate these. I'm 5'10" and 175 lbs, so I'm "slender". The tie cord is not sufficient to hold the pants up... and I'm too lazy to tie/untie the cord. So, I use this elastic in place of the tie cord. You have to make a small cut in the back of the tie cord channel to release the tie cord. After that, just tie the elastic around one end of the tie cord and pull it through. I then tie a loose knot in the elastic for a week or so until I find the right amount of tightness. Once I find the right tightness, I tie a simple double-knot; cut off the excess, and rotate the elastic through the channel an inch or two, to move that small knot away from the belly-button. I first tried 3/4" elastic. It didn't seem to have as much "stretch" so it didn't work well. I also tried 3/8" a while ago, and it seemed to lose it's "stretch" too soon (after a few months). So, I think this 1/2" size is just about right. It will last the life of these pants (2 years).

Purchased to replace stretched respirator elastics which were stored by hanging the full weight of the twin-filter mask, rendering the elastics useless . Moral of the story: be careful how you store valuable equipment, but if you mess up elastic straps, this works very well.

Great Price, Okay Quality

When I bought this, I was expecting it to be okay quality for the price and I received okay quality elastic. It was fine for what I was using it for, but if you are into sewing your own clothes, I don't recommend this elastic.
