Great product, holding up very well
I received the Dreambaby gate in white along with two- 3 1/2" extensions as a gift when my son was born. Only recently did we need to install it and I realized that the gate would not fit the width I need (42"). So I purchased this 7" extension and paired it with the gate and only one of the smaller extensions and it fit perfectly. Putting it together wasn't too hard. At first I was a little confused (the directions have multiple languages for each section which clutters the page) but once I figured out how to pressure-mount it everything went smoothly. We have molding along the baseboards so I had to raise the gate slightly in order to make it lie flat but there have been no problems. It is very very tight on the wall and no wobbling. It takes a little while to get used to the gate (and the fact that you MUST step over the bottom part even when the gate is open) but it has been extremely effective to keep both my 11 month old and my dog out of the kitchen. Would absolutely recommend this product.

served it's purpose!
We got a new puppy that needed to be confined to one area and we purchased this baby gate and one extention, as we had a 57" opening to cover. The extention helped fit the gate perfectly. For the money, I would recommend this item. The only negative I can say is that I wanted a tension gate to AVOID putting holes in the wall. This gate comes with "cups" they still want you to screw into the wall to hold the gate. We opted not to use the cups but we do have to have these end pieces extremely tight against the wall in order for the door to sit flush and be able to use it. It took lots of elbow grease but once we got it, it works great. Definitely serves it's purpose. Well, the puppy has actually accomplished getting over the gate - but that's no reflection on the gate itself.

It extends the gate... yup, it sure does.
Does exactly what it claims to do. I got the correct color I ordered and it fits well. Obviously you need to purchase the gate separately, but this does its job. The only complaint I have is between not having the extension with the feet fully extending on the gate and having the extension with the feet mostly retracted, there is a range of sizes it won't fit - which will vary based on the amount of extensions you have on each side the gate and what size of gate you are starting with. I wish I could list them all here but it's too variable. I just know that at the grandparents house there was a need to add 2x4 wood blocking on one side so the gate would fit snug but we don't have that issue at our house.

not so great
Because we are using it to block a hallway, we have a 7" and a 3" extension. It is much better to have a 10" extension instead because the gate is very flimsy and bends at the joints. It looks good, was easy to put up and we like the function of lift and press. It closes well. I don't think this product will last too long and my guess when my child gets older she will be able to just pull it down fairly easily. I would not buy this product again, but have no other brands to compare it to.

I just love Dream baby gates. They are easy to assemble and sturdy. Any adult can open them with one hand. We gave an extra one to our daughter for the top of their staircase but it needed the extension to fit just right. I was glad to have the choice of size needed. It arrived on time and installed easily. I feel the toddlers are much safer now. I do recommend this brand of gate, we have three of them in different sizes.

works great
It works great other than the fact I measured it out perfectly and there is still a fairly large gap on both sides of the gate. I had to roll out the side extenders as far as they go. Baby can't get out or in but it's still big enough for a full arm. Otherwise very sturdy!!

Best gates
These are the best baby gates. Easy for adults to open. My daughter pulls hard and they don't budge. Don't ruin your walls when installing. Set up in only a few minutes. I have three of these in my house. All friends with kids who come over say they want to buy them.

Be careful what type you order!
I ordered an 18cm gate extension for the Liberty Gate I have. When I ordered in July 2018 the Safetot website advertises a "Dreambaby 18cm Gate Extension". I was aware that there are two types of gates Liberty and Chelsea, but the advert did not state it was only suitable for one or the other - so I figured it would work. It arrived as the Chelsea extension and unfortunately didn't work. A bit galled as well as I have to pay for the postage back and on checking the site just now (5 Aug 2018) despite reporting this on the site, the information has still not been amended to make this clear. SO BEWARE: check with with them BEFORE you purchase or easier still just order from a company who gives you the option of a Liberty or Chelsea extension in the first place. Which I what I had to do in the end. As far as the product itself goes: good quality. we had to extend on two sides and obviously not as strong as a single gate when rattled by a growing child but holding out so far.

Great love this gate I have purchased many gates over the years and the dreambaby gate is fantastic this was purchased as an extention I thought it would make the gate unstable but this is not the case it extends the gate but remains firm I had it for out dog who frequently jumps up it and it doesnt budge and the gate closes itself which is a great feature love it!

Very easy to install and makes our gate fit a wide gap perfectly when used with wide hallway gate. We have steps down onto a tiled floor into our kitchen and this allows our toddler grandaughter to play safely in full view on the other side of the archway while we are in the kitchen.

not for all dreambaby gates
Item was not as described not compatible with all dates as per listing. I have an extra wide gate and extender was too short. We have managed to adapt it a bit as it's only being used at kitchen entrance not stairs
