Installed in my Harley fairing
It did just what I wanted. It gave me bluetooth for my 2011 stock Harley receiver. Of course my handlebar controls won't operate any of the functions other than volume, but it does work well. I do have to sync it everytime I start the bike though. This is a cheap way to get bluetooth.

Best hard-wired adapter I have used
I recently bought a new(er) car that has BT for calling but I wanted to add audio support. I have been on a mission to find a high quality adapter that has good sound, is easy to use, and doesn't suffer from any electrical noise. I don't know what has happened to the BT adapter market in the past year or so, but I have tried many different adapters and every one of them suffers from some kind of design problem. Usually it is audio prompts which are not attenuated internally, so they play at MAX volume through your stereo giving you a heart attack every time they connect. It's especially disconcerting when the prompt is a recording of a woman with an unintelligible Asian accent. Other problems include electrical noise, poor quality audio, or connection dropouts. Eventually I started looking for hard-wired adapters because I didn't want to take up a USB port or 12v socket in my car. I have tried a couple of different ones, and thought this is meant for Marine use with the manufacturer's own equipment, it is a basic BT adapter that will work with anything. I am really impressed. After all the garbage I have had to sift through to find a quality adapter, I am glad to have finally found one. Pros: * Excellent audio quality. Keep in mind that we are talking Bluetooth V3.0 here, so don't expect miracles, but I didn't find anything that bothered my ears. * Audio prompts are simple beeps, which are informative, not distracting, and are not overly loud. * Device seems to include a ground loop isolation circuit as it did not suffer from electrical hum like the previous device I was using. Cons: * Audio may be *slightly* too loud in some applications. I find that I have to back off my phone volume by one notch from max in order to prevent distortion in the input of my OEM head unit. * Auto reconnect does not work. Other reviewers have stated the opposite, and unless there has been a firmware revision, this is completely false. The device I purchased does not attempt reconnect after a power cycle. I have essentially solved this with an app, but if the MFG is listening, fix this in the next release and formally advertise it as a feature.

Easy to install
It was so easy to installed. I have an old clarion head unit on my boat and wanted Bluetooth. I actually just hook the adapter to the back of the unit and left everything back there. I didn’t mount the Bluetooth . Everything is working great.

Simple solution to add bluetooth to your system, but has too many flaws...
Bought this to use with my Kenwood KAC-M1814 amp on my boat. Installation was simple, BT pairing was quick and easy. Sound quality was as good as any other bluetooth device. Took the boat out and was playing music for about 4 hours and noticed the audio would skip randomly and more often than I'm ok with. Enough to make me return it. Other things I don't like is how loud the connection tone is, nor the loud "thump" that occurs as the phone is pairing and even when navigating thru the phone to open a music app, setting, etc, and the fact that there is no auto-connect. You have to go to your phone BT settings, and select the device to connect to it every time. And lastly, the connection range is not that great. Luckily my boat is small and it has no problem when I am on it, but as I was washing the boat down on the trailer and listening to music with my phone in my pocket, I was losing connection. I believe most of these issues are due to the fact that BT 3.0 is a bit dated, so I am returning this one for another brand that offers BT 4.0 connectivity and a signal out wire to turn the amp on (hopefully after the BT connection is made to avoid some of the speaker "thumping" as the phone is connecting.) I think if you have this hooked up to a head unit, it would probably be a little better since you control the output to the speakers, rather than this hooked up straight to an amp that has the input sensitivity all the way up. That way it would play the connection tone and the "thumps" at a lower volume, might be a little more tolerable. But the audio skipping was just a deal breaker for me.

Good unit, needs separate power source and sound output buster
Good product, easy to install and use. Needs a separate power source to work. Purchase that separately or connect it directly to a 12dc supply on your equipment board or power supply section of the board. I gave it four stars because the output is low. It is more like preamp type of output and at least on my Bose radio, it needs a little power buster which I turn all the way up so the Auxiliary input through the RCA connectors sound level kind of matches the volume when I switch between Radio and Auxiliary/Bluetooth with the Fussion paired to my iPhone 7. iPhone 7 volume needs to be set high, about 90% in in order for my Fusion and buster combo to match my Radio sound level output.

Just get this one.
It does not blast you when it connects. I'm attached to a 200watt system, the others, including l*gIt*ch seem to think I want to hear a deafening "BAAALLLEEEEPPP" when it connects or disconnects. It's horrible. This unit a a little pricey, but it just does what you expect it to do. I'm using 120v to 12v adapters to use this in my home. You do need to solder or wire-nut the 12v connections--the only down side. I know that this is intended for permanent installation in a boat's entertainment system, but for the price they could include an adapter for car or home. I have two of these.

Works great
Works great and really easy to hookup. Now my motorcycle has Bluetooth music. Downfalls it doesn't remember connection so you have to connect each time you turn it on, and have to use phone to control the song can't use stereo controls to skip a song. Minor downfalls if you ask me does exactly what I bought it for.

does not auto connect
I have been using this for a long time now. My only complaint is that it does not automatically connect to my phone. I have to go into bluetooth setting and force the connection everytime after it has been powered off. Other than that, it works great.

Excellent simple solution to add bluetooth to any car with AUX or RCA inputs.
I bought this to fit bluetooth to my trusty '54 Mondeo, as the unit takes a 12V supply. Very simple to fit (I connected it to the cigar lighter wiring in under 5 minutes) and plugged into the AUX port in the glovebox. Tested, worked first time but had noise from the alternator so fitted a ground loop isolator http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000NVWB9O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (~£6) and it is now perfect. Sound quality / level and range are excellent and it is all hidden away now inside the centre console. I use it with a Sony Xperia SP, with an NFC tag hidden under the dash so it automatically connects / disconnects when I touch the phone on the dash. There are probably cheaper ways to do this, but I much prefer the 'fit and forget' philosophy. I'm just disappointed I waited 6 months to get around to doing it.
