need to sandpaper outer rim; stickum left by label

Nice graphics design! But two problems that cause annoying small dysfunctionalities: 1. The outer rim has an unpleasant extraneous raised thin line, I'm guessing left by injection mold process in manufacturing. So one needs to (finely) sandpaper it. 2. Difficult-to-remove stickum was deposited by the product or inventory label that was put on the disc's underside by the manufacturer / distributor / retailer. They should use easy-to-remove stickum -- or, better, not put on such a label on the disc at all.

With this disc in my hand...I rule the land!

I've been an avid fan of Ultimate (or Frisbee Football for super dated older people) for several years. I've held a lot of discs in my hand during that time. Guys will show up and bring out their discs and we'll play with each other's a bit just to warm up before the real show. When the real show starts though they put their discs back and we play with MY disc, the beautiful, white, bald eagle! It is the smoothest disc I've ever played with. It feels great in your hands as it's not too hard, and not too soft. Receiving the disc is a pleasant experience as well. It soars like an eagle and always finds its mark, given the proper skill. Whether you use it in the front or the back toss, it always brings a smile to the person receiving it. If you want to have the best disc in the game, you can't go wrong showing up to the field with this disc in your hand. They'll know you mean business!

This is not your ordinary frisbee!

Ultimate frisbee, frisbee golf, or just tossing a frisbee at the beach or a park are all great ways to have some fun outdoors. I am convinced the Ultra-Star disc is the one to use. The following quote is from a graduate college physics research website: "Is it possible to mathematically model fluid-frisbee interactions? Anyone familiar with fluid dynamics might imagine that doing so would involve a solution to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations, while incorporating gyroscopic and gravitational effects. There are, in fact, several researchers working on 3D mathematical models of the frisbee. There is a working model involving 10 aerodynamic coefficients estimated with experimental flight data." Yup, this technology is definitely still beyond human understanding! I conducted an experiment one afternoon with a few friends on a Florida beach while on vacation recently. I pulled out an old standard frisbee and we tossed it around for a while. I then explained that I had just bought the Ultra-Star disc. After a few tosses, we noticed the performance difference in our ability to aim and place each throw. As we were leaving, I noticed another small group sitting at the beach. I told them this is not your ordinary frisbee as I gave them my Ultra-Star disk. I didn't have the heart to give them the standard frisbee. It felt great as we left when I saw them get up and start tossing! When I got home, I ordered another one. Gotta luv it. Buy it. Toss it. Enjoy it.

Not All Galaxy

I like the quality of this disk I was just upset that the disk isn’t full galaxy. The disk just has the print at the top.

Cool disc (Not for disc golf)

I think it's a cool disc, meant mostly for ultimate frisbee. I got the yin yang with the tiger and dragon. It's cool, I thought I could use it for disc golf, (I don't think I will). Even though it wasn't what I hoped for, it's fine. I'd rather hang it on my wall then use it but yea; you should only buy for ultimate frisbee or if you like the image.

Great Frisbee! But two words of warning...

This frisbee is very nice. At this price, it's basically a steal. I'm not gonna restate what all of the other glowing reviews say; however, I have two words of warning: 1. I ordered the glow in the dark frisbee. In the light, the color of the disk is not NEARLY as green as show in the picture - the actual frisbee is more or less white, with a tinge of green. In the dark, it's maybe as green as shown in the picture if it was PITCH black and the disk had only been there for a number of seconds. Not suitable for actual nighttime playing. 2. Ok, at $9 this disk is a phenomenal price for the quality; I would have gladly paid $15 for it. However, the advertised and regulation weight of this/any frisbee is 175 grams. However, I weighed my disk and it came out at 181 grams - I know this isn't a huge deal and I'm really nitpicking here but I expected more like 175 +/- 3 grams. My friend who is an avid frisbee player said that glow in the dark disks vary slightly from disks that do not glow in the dark; the weight and stiffness is slightly different. I don't know how much truth is held in that statement, but all-in-all, a solid disk and a total bargain for the price. Highly recommended.

Nice frisbee

I'm not exactly a frisbee connoisseur, but I picked up this disc so my kids could play Ultimate Frisbee or just throw it around in the backyard. They've also been using it in the pool. It seems well balanced and flies straight. Will be taking it to the beach in a few weeks and giving it a test with the beach winds. Overall, seems like a good product.

Very good quality frisbee! Flys a good distance

Extremely good quality frisbee, nicely weighted and flys a long way! Was recommended this by a friend who owned one and I'm glad I bought it, didn't realise such a thing as a high quality frisbee existed but I'm glad I do now!! Only complaint is that the plastic is a little soft and on the first day of use it hit the tarmac we were throwing it on and scratched quite a bit at the edge. Apart from that one occasion though has been perfect to use!

misleading product picture

the picture of the frisbee is very misleading, the product has the design printed on-top of it not into the plastic. other than that the frisbee itself if a good product, heavy, sturdy, thick what a frisbee should be.

Great Frisbee

I picked this up because I wanted to start getting into frisbee. The design is nice and it flys great. Anybody that’s looking to get into playing frisbee, this is a great buy.

UltraStar is #1 in discs but..

Because I thought the top image would wrap all the way around the rim of the Frisbee. But instead it awkwardly has a gap which might help with gripping but looks ordinary white when thrown usually. Still, great quality disc. Been using this for about 4 weeks now with friends and all agree my UltraStar is the favourite over the Innova pulsar.
