Fantastic for controlling light fixtures

I have three of these Lutron Caséta wireless smart lighting lamp switches with dimmers in my home. One room lacked a wall switch, another had the wall switch in an awkward location, and the third controls a lamp by my bedside. The Pico remote control is small and can be placed anywhere that's handy. it works perfectly to switch the lights on and off, and I particularly like being able to control the dimming feature from wherever I want the have the remote control, be it bedside or on my desktop. I have a remote mounted on a wall plate in the first room, another is mounted on the Pico Smart Remote Pedestal on my bedside table, and the third is loose on my desk in the office. One feature that is most important to me is that they don't require a smartphone to operate, which I would find very obnoxious. I recommend these dimmers and remote controls.

Great for resetting mesh routers and modem

Can I get any lazier. These are great to reset a modem and a router using pico remotes. Since the Lutron hub can work without the internet via the picos, its really a nice way to cycle the power off to the units without taking a step...

Works great, but only for dimmable lamps

This is a great way to control a dimmable lamp. The Lutron Caseta system is by far the most reliable part of my HomeKit system. I try to use it wherever I can, rather than using smart plugs by other brands. However, this lamp module does have some limitations: Most importantly, it's designed only for use with dimmable lamps. I tried to use it with some LED fairy lights that aren't dimmable. When I would turn off the lights, they would still light up just barely. Apparently the smart plug is till letting some electricity trickle through even when off. I also tried using it with fan, and that works. However, HomeKit sees it as a light rather than a fan, and there is no way to change that. In other words, when I say "Hey Siri, turn on the bedroom lights," it'll turn on the fan also. I worked around that by putting the fan into its own HomeKit room called "Bedroom Fan." One important note: If you're using this with a non-dimmable device (like fairy lights or a fan), then you can put the switch into a non-dimmable mode where it becomes a basic on/off switch. Although that didn't fix my problem with the fairy lights. Anyway, if you use this for its intended purpose (dimmable lamps), then it's a great product. Otherwise you might consider using a different on/off switch. I like to the use the Lutron Outdoor Smart Plug for on/off devices. It's a little bulky for indoor use, but it works.

Pricey but trivial to set up, supports two independent plugs, and works like a charm. I used these on an Alexa system for a couple of years but then dumped Alexa for Google because I got sick of Alexa constantly trying to sell me stuff. These work great in both environments.

Works great had for around 3 years no problems at all , works even better with optional remote

Right now I've been using it in the bedroom with the remote on the nightstand you can set lighting any brightness you want, 2weeks ago I purchased 2 more pricey yes as the saying go you get what you pay these work great no problems

Works as an extender too

A little expensive, but I needed to get one of these to use as a system extender so my Lutron Caséta switch in the outdoor shed could talk to my Lutron hub inside the house.

Reliable, Well-built, Smooth Dimming (LED, Hal, Incan), Highly Recommend!

Contrary to the reviews written in 2014, this is now an Apple HomeKit Certified connected home product *IF* paired with the Lutron Smart Bridge (version 2)! I purchased this item a few weeks ago, and thus far it has exceeded expectations. Here is a list of pros and cons that I have experienced. PRO: *Can be controlled with 4 Physical Buttons on Dimmer, Connected App, and 5 Button Remote * 300 watt Incandescent/Halogen Load or 150 watt LED load * Quite reliable, quick/responsive. * Smooth Dimming for entire range on LED, Incandescent, and Halogen * Impressive RF Wireless Range * No Neutral Wire required * Includes RF Pico Remote with memory that can be tied to other Caseta products as well. * Can be linked to sync with other Caseta products * Easy Setup * Secure Encryption if used with iOS devices and the Lutron Bridge * Solid Build Quality from a trusted name in lighting * Completely Silent does not hum, buzz, click, or otherwise emit any audible sound. * Can be controlled via remote or physical control panel if hub is not present/unavailable (you will just lack the capacity to control via a smart phone/tablet app) * If using version 2 Bridge - Apple HomeKit Certified meaning you can use Siri on your iOS device to control all or individual light’s power status and their brightness. NICE!! CON: * Uses Lutron’s Proprietary “Clear Connect” wireless control protocol * Power failure results in outlets set to Full OFF not returning to previous state * No Memory Button on Plug’s control panel, just on Pico Remote There are a few limitations to the dimmer, however I feel that benefits outweigh the shortcomings. Flickers with some lamps when "off"

I have lutron smart switches and plugs in almost every room in my house but its worth noting that this plug, and some switches, leak power when "off". With this smart plug in particular, I plugged it in, plugged in my light, which are LED strips, and it works great on. But when I switch it to "off", it turns off but flickers on every 5-6 seconds. What I read is it still leaks power out to the device plugged into it. It just happens that most devices don't "power on" or flicker but LEDs are more sensitive so they are more likely to "turn on" despite the plug being set to off. These plugs worked fine for my other less sensitive devices but beware because off is not truly off for this device.

Does the job you pay it for

My house has some switches without neutral . So I started to buy Lutron products. My house is 25' wide, and 100' long including the garden where there are lights. So I bought this pluggable dimmer to also act as an extender. So it just works. Easy to install, I can control it through homekit, dims well, and my house is fully covered. It simply works.

Usamos varios de estos para controlar lámparas "tipo buró" en diferentes sitios (oficina, recámaras, etc.), y funcionan excelentemente bien ya sea desde su propia aplicación para iOS, desde su programación para que se enciendan y apaguen automáticamente por horarios, o bien manejándolas por voz utilizando Siri.
