works well.
Upgraded whole house from contractor grade toggles to mix of smart and dumb decora switches. List of models bought/used (cheat sheet) Smart switches ================================================================================== Leviton D26HD-2RW : Decora Smart Wi-Fi Dimmer (2nd Gen) Leviton DD00R-DLZ : Decora companion for D26HD & DDL06-1LZ in 3-way applications Leviton D215P-2RW : Decora Smart Wi-Fi Mini Plug-In Switch (2nd Gen) [1] Leviton D23LP-2RW : Decora Smart Wi-Fi Mini Plug-In Dimmer (2nd Gen) [2] Leviton DW4SF-1BW : Decora Smart 4 speed fan controller [3] Non-Smart (dumb) switches ================================================================================== Leviton 5601-2WM : Decora Rocker Single Pole AC Quiet Switch [4] Leviton DDL06-1LZ : Decora Rocker 3-Way AC Quiet Switch, Digital Dimmer Leviton DD00R-DLZ : Decora companion for D26HD & DDL06-1LZ in 3-way applications Leviton 5685-2W : Decora Plus Rocker, SPDT, Center off, Maintained contact [5] Leviton LTB60-1LZ : Decora 1800W Incandescent/20A Resistive-Inductive 1HP Preset 10-20-30-60 Minute Timer [6] Lutron MSCL-OP153MH: Motion Sensor & dimmable (occupancy sensor) [7] Specials ================================================================================== Leviton R12-80700-2w : blank toggle fill-in [8] Other Notes ================================================================================== Leviton IPF01-1LZ : Fan Speed Control, didn't use, used DW4SF instead. [1] Used for on/off floor lamp [2] Used for night stand lamp [3] Had this and Leviton IPF01-1LZ IllumaTech 1.5A Quiet Step Preset Fan Speed Control, but liked this one so much more I use this even in places I wanted a "dumb" fan speed controller. [4] Used for replacing toggle switches that don't need to be smart [5] Used for bathroom fan light hi/lo [6] Used for bathroom fan on/off [7] Used in laundry room, walk-in closets & pantry areas where these is no lights and your hands are likely full [8] Some house upgrades elimated the need to switches (they use hand help remotes), so for these instead of leaving a dummy switch in place that did nothing, I replaced when with these and their decora equivalent.

Fits perfectly inside 3 and 4 gang boxes..
Several months ago I purchased smart switches for my two chandeliers, but they didn't fit inside the multi-gang boxes I had. I assumed that all smart switches must be the same, so I then tried using individual smart bulbs in the chandeliers. That didn't work either. The bulbs didn't sync correctly. Each light eventually came on, but sometimes seconds apart and other times had to be turned on from the app manually. So I once again started looking for a smart switch that could fit into my 3 and 4 gang boxes, which was the best option if they were available. These are exactly what I was hoping to find! One chandelier is a 3-way, each in 3-gang boxes, and the other was a single pole in a 4-gang box. My house is less than 4 years old, so I thought the wiring inside the boxes should be fairly easy work with...but it wasn't. I had to call the Leviton customer support several times for help. They were great! They said most non-electricians needed their help, and they were happy to walk us through the installation process. Part of my confusion was that I had so many wires inside each box....as many as 10 separately capped wires in one box, many with the same color wires that didn't mean the same thing. (whites that weren't neutral, blacks that weren't loads or hot, and reds that weren't travelers). But with their help, I finally figured out what the electrician had done and was able to install them myself. I'm very happy with the results! One more thing I'll mention is that one of the most difficult thing you'll have to do is get all the wires and caps back inside the boxes behind the large switches (all my switches are 3-ways, dimmers, and/or smart switches, so they are all very large) without breaking the switches or disconnecting any of the wires. So make sure all your connections are very tight and secure before pushing them back into the boxes. Just noticed in the picture that one plate was missing a screw...lol! Found it on the floor.

Works well
I reviewed the main switch separately, it works well, and does everything I wanted, so I won't go into details. Aside from functionality, installation was a bit unorthodox. One of the travelers hooks to the same lead as the hot, which is not a problem but might be unexpected. My prior dimmer switches didn't need a neutral, and since this needs one but didn't come with a neutral lead built in, I couldn't simply attach it with the existing wire nut. I had to make my own lead. Likewise, I had to do the same for the ground since my prior switch had a ground wire attached, rather than a screw to attach a lead. Some Leviton switches have wires in the back instead of screws. That would have made it easier for me to attach the ground and neutral, but more awkward for the other wires since it's easier to attach the existing bare ends. A compromise would have worked, or they simply could have included leads in the box.

Don’t work with some mesh network features
I spent hours and contacted tech support without success. I finally found a comment from a user that said they had to disable “fast roaming” on a mesh network. Frustrating that you can’t have all mesh network features enabled on your existing network and more disappointing that their documentation and tech support doesn’t know this and share it.

Works well however dim indicator always on. **Dim indicator can be turned off see my edit**
*EDIT* Brightness LED settings can be changed so that it goes away The switch didn't come with any programming instructions, just installation instructions. But now, 2 years since I bough this switch and wrote the review, I've found the programming instructions for this companion switch and have added an image of them. Basically: - Hold the top of the paddle and the bottom of the dim bar for 5 seconds. - The locator will begin to blink. - Click top of the paddle twice, the locator LED should be blinking 3 times. - Use the dim bar to select the 2nd LED from the bottom - Click the top of the paddle. Now your brightness LED will disappear after 5 seconds and only the locator LED will remain. Now the switch is perfect, raised from 3 star to 4... these instructions should be included... ******* I used this in conjunction with a z-wave dimmer switch (Leviton DZ6HD-1BZ Decora Smart 600W Dimmer with Z-Wave Plus Technology, White/Light Almond, Works with Amazon Alexa ). It does works very well with the main switch. Easy install if you know your wiring. Like the other reviews have point out, the downside is that the lowest dim level indicator is always on, even when the lights are off completely. A weird design choice since the locator light is there too. I placed the companion switch at the top of a stairway so not a huge issue for me, but I could see problems if you wanted to put this in a bedroom.

Great product
This is a remote to the DW6HD Leviton Dimmer. This unit will not function without the DW6HD Leviton Dimmer. Once installed, they work like a charm. The only problem with these dimmers is that you need an internet connection to control them remotely. The commands from your phone do not go directly to the device, they go to the Leviton server that communicates with your device. Having these devices on your local network (home router) is a bit of a security concern, as hackers could have access to your computers via these devices. Leviton IoT is no different than Apple or Samsung IoT and most people have confidence in the devices built in security. Personally I recommend that you setup a seperate IoT network for these devices.

Works with Z-Wave
This works great with our Z-wave switch, which is integrated with Telus Smart Home.

Useless
They frequently disconnect from the wifi and don’t automatically reconnect, they need to be manually powercycled to reconnect. If the internet drops for any reason they go offline and won’t reconnect automatically, they need to be manually powercycled to come back online. They randomly turn on by themselves (I made the mistake of installing one in a bedroom - I cut the power to it at night to prevent being woken up by an occasional blast of full bedroom lights). I’m angry that Leviton has the audacity to sell a product this bad and market it as a finished functional product, I feel like I’ve been scammed. I bought 5 of these useless things, I’m pulling them all out and throwing them in the trash. All complete garbage. All these issues could potentially be fixed by a firmware update but Leviton support doesn’t even acknowledge that it’s a critical issue.
