Glued to the Spot

From 1st review: We have a tree stump in the back yard that has a hollow area on top. We decided that a gnome with a fishing pole would fit perfectly. With his legs in the “fishing hole”, and a fish on his line, Ziggy is one happy guy. The statue is a good size, 9 ½” high, and looks to be well made. It has bright, cheerful colors. We live in inland Southern California. In the summer, the sun can get very hot, with temperatures reaching 110° F. I expect that this little fella might eventually fade. We’ll see how it goes. For now, we are satisfied with our choice. Second Review: Ziggy has been happily fishing for nearly 3 months. About a month ago, we had a day’s long blast of high winds. The little gnome was blown over, but not damaged. I glued him to the tree stump and he’s been happily fishing since then. As you can see from the latest photo his color is still as bright as day one.

JUST PERFECT

Adorable, but unstable.

Charming, but not enough rocks in his back pockets to keep him from tumbling forward. Particularly after deploying the fishing pole. Ours broke soon after I installed it next to my outdoor decorative fish pond.

Gnome sweet gnome

I was skeptical buying a gnome for my pond because there are SO many to choose from, and some of them don't look like very good craftsmanship. This one is very nice. It arrived packaged well, no chance for broken pieces. The only assembly was putting the little fishing pole into his hands. The detail is very nice and exactly what I was looking for on my pond. I do recommend this.

Easily broken

Was very pleased when I received it, but the window cleaner knocked it with his brush and broke off the club. A few days later I was moving it and accidentally dropped it from about a height of a foot and the base broke off! I would only recommend buying this if it’s going to be left in a place where it will never get touched!

Not as big as expected

Lovely gnome and looks great in garden but he is a lot smaller than I expected. Though bigger than your standard garden gnome he is small for the price and in that way not worth the money

FACTORY REJECT/ SECONDS

Very disappointed with the quality of this gnome. The first one I received had a large blemish on the base and the paintwork was very patchy. I had paid the full Amazon price (£30) so did not expect to receive an "Amazon Warehouse" seconds. The replacement sent out was just as bad but because it was for a birthday present I couldnt wait for another replacement to be sent out.
