Reinforcing the wall behind this toilet paper holder was important

When I initially installed this TP holder it did not seem sturdy enough to help get up. But we reinforced the wall with plywood behind the drywall and this is perfect to help me in my golden years.

Love the pivoting arm vs spring loaded

Delta makes great products. We have replaced all our fixtures in our home with this brand. The faucet in the photo is the Arvo style, but this grab bar was close enough to coordinate. We mounted ours 36 inches up from the floor. It is very big as others have said, so make sure you have the clearance. We don't find it obtrusive and it's nice to know the grab bar is there when needed for us or for guests.

Attractive alternative to grab bar

This helped us avoid a nursing home look in our bathroom. Grab bars in the shower look okay; this looks much better on the wall next to the toilet. This model was the most compact, while still offering the benefit of a grab bar. Added plus was that it matched the Delta faucets in finish and design. Installed by the contractor who didn't report any problems.

Beautiful grab bar in disguise

Love that our handicap accessible bathroom doesn't have to look like a hospital room! Solid, sturdy, functional hidden grab bar that securely holds toilet paper. We had another style at our old house that did not secure the toilet paper roll very well. We were constantly knocking the roll off when sitting down. Love that this is stylish and functional

It's huge! Sticks way out from the wall!

I actually had to return it because it sticks out really far! I loved the idea and it seems really sturdy but not enough clearance between the wall and the toilet - especially w/large rolls.

Attractive & secure assist bar. No more Pinched fingers when loading TP!

I purchased this Delta Faucet 41350-SS Traditional Tissue Holder/Assist Bar in the Stainless finish which matches the Kohler brushed nickel fixtures in my master bath well. Due to the location of the studs in the wall, it was necessary for my husband to remove a piece of wallboard and shore up the adjoining stud with an extra 2 X 6. This was not a problem since we had planned to add Beadboard wainscoting to the toilet compartment. Once the beadboard went on, the fixture attached perfectly. It is incredibly secure and heavy duty. We have not used it for its' intended purpose yet, but with anticipated knee surgery, we thought it was a good idea to plan ahead. What I especially like about this product is No More Pinched Fingers when loading a new roll of TP. The bar easily pivots up on a hinge and the TP slides on the bar, which then pivots down and fastens in place. Every household with a person with arthritic hands should have one of these. Genius! Why isn't every Tissue holder made like this?

good looking and solidly built dual-purpose TP holder grab bar.

Very heavy duty feel, and looks great. Love that there isn't any center spring-loaded spindle - rather, there is a swing up gate, so nothing to bounce across the room or get lost. Only one caution - it stands out from the wall farther than a basic wall-mount TP holder. In one of the rooms I will be putting this, there is just the minimum clearance on each side of the toilet, so I will need to swap sides and put it on the opposite side so I can get it a few inches farther forward from the toilet itself (otherwise it will hit my knee/thigh)... no big deal, but just an observation. (The amazon review form is asking me to give 1 to 5 stars to "softness"... not sure that's applicable here!)

Just what I needed

We needed this to grab onto as our toilet is between 2 walls with nothing to grab onto. It was pretty easy to install as we had 2 studs to put the screws into. It is very secure and I don't have any fear of it not holding me. It's also attractive. The only thing I would change is the toilet paper slides around and doesn't stay in place.
