Good drip coffee, Okay Espresso Style, but Messy
First the pros: It is very easy to make drip coffee. You just add the water, beans, and pick your size of cup. It basically creates an Americano with an espresso like puck of coffee. The coffee has a little crema on the top which is nicer than almost all drip coffee machines that I have used but it isn't a real crema like you would have from an espresso machine Americano. You get options from 3 oz to 24 oz plus cooler brew for ice coffee and using pre-ground. I have tried a variety of drip coffee from the Technivorm, which in my opinion is overrated, to a basic cheap auto drip. The one that I tended to like the most is the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System. I like to just walk up, pick a size of coffee, and have it make it. The Ninja holds enough water for several cups of coffee and allows you to pick a cup of coffee, add filter, grounds, and done. The TrueBrew is even easier though since there is no filter and the water reservoir is large enough that you can get several cups of coffee without adding water. The coffee is better than the Ninja since it is more like an Americano taste than a drip coffee taste. Even the Techniovorm has a drip coffee taste but it is even more annoying because of the simplistic build, it will brew whatever amount of water is in the reservoir, which means you need to add water, filter, and coffee every time you use it. Overall, I do like the coffee better than most drip coffee machines that I have tried. Now the cons: It is making coffee similar to their auto espresso machine, which I have tried also. It creates an expresso puck which is dumped into the a bin behind the front of the machine. The bin is small so you need to pull the front off the machine often to dump it. Also, it rinses the mechanics similar to the auto espresso machine so uses more water for that process. No big deal since the water reservoir is large enough but the water bin inside to catch it is small so it fills up quickly. It also splashes water and coffee grounds all over the inside, and no matter how gently you pull the front off to empty them, coffee water will spill on your counter and, in my case, down the front of the cabinet, and on the floor. Every time you empty it, you will need to wipe up the mess on the inside of the machine, on your counter, the front of you cabinet, and off the floor. Very poor design on this part of it. The flap that you lower to put an espresso cup on is very flimsy and feels like it could break off without much effort, the lid to the water reservoir is kind of hard to get a hold of so it is easy to drop it into the reservoir, and the lid over the coffee beans has to fit just right to close properly and for some reason, it usually takes me a bit to get it on correctly. The 3 oz setting is espresso style but not a real espresso. It has a little crema but not much so if you want espresso with a nice crema, you will be disappointed. The temp coming out is about 180 degrees so lower than the suggested best extraction temp of 195 to 205. To use pre-ground coffee it is a bit of a process and the hole to dump it in is kind of small. You have to press start, size of cup, type of brew so you repeatedly press Type until it gets to the pre-ground selection, then press Brew, add the pre-ground coffee, and then press Brew again. Not hard but just a clumsy process. Also, even though the front looks like you could just press the coffee size, you can't. They are just lights. You need to press the Size or Type button repeatedly to scroll through them. Seems like that could have been done better for a $500 coffee machine. Overall impression: I am not sure if I will keep it or not. I may go back to the Ninja. I will admit it is nice to not deal with the filter or grinding separately. I have a separate Breville grinder so grinding and dumping into the Ninja isn't a huge hassle but it is nice to not do it. You do get a bit of flexibility with your brew from light to gold, and bold and it does stay at your previous setting so if you brew the same thing all the time, you just put your cup in there, hit power, and brew...done...unless you need to add more water. Some folks will love the convenience of this machine and will not be concerned about the mess but anyone who wants a real espresso or wants the perfect extraction temp, will be disappointed. I would take this over the Technivorm though.

Coffee House Experience at Home
As a former coffee shop barista in my youth, I've always dreamed of a home machine that could deliver the coffee house experience without the hefty price tag. After trying various middle ground machines, I often found that their focus on prepacked coffee pods or poor-quality parts led to a lack of durability. I thought my days of enjoying a cup of coffee at home without resorting to a local coffee house were over. Thankfully, I discovered the De'Longhi True Brew. One of my key requirements was a machine that could handle whole beans with an integrated grinder. The True Brew's built-in grinder was surprisingly quieter than most standalone whole bean grinders I had used before. A bonus was the ability to load a separate batch of coffee grounds, allowing me to try other brands of coffee before committing to a larger bag. The brew time was impressive; I could go from whole beans to a hot cup of coffee in no time. The various brew settings, ranging from a mellow brew to a rich one for iced drinks, exceeded my expectations in terms of taste and versatility. Its Definity optimized for your Experience The De'Longhi TrueBrew Drip Coffee Maker is designed with user experience in mind. Its one-touch operation simplifies the brewing process, making it easy for anyone to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. The hassle-free clean-up also contributes to an overall positive experience, eliminating the need to worry about messy spills or complicated maintenance. Uncompromised Coffee Taste: The True Brew's built-in burr grinder ensures that your coffee is freshly ground right before brewing, providing optimal taste and quality. The adjustable grind size and brew settings allow you to customize your coffee experience, catering to your preferred strength and flavor. the De'Longhi TrueBrew Drip Coffee Maker delivers a coffee house experience at home, with its impressive grinder, brew settings, and user-friendly design. As a former barista, I can wholeheartedly recommend this True Brew to anyone who wants to enjoy exceptional coffee without having to visit a local coffee house. With its focus on user experience and uncompromised coffee taste, the De'Longhi True Brew is a must-have for coffee lovers.

Ditch the pods for whole bean coffee with TrueBrew
The TrueBrew is an awesome fully automatic coffee powerhouse for coffee lovers. What we loved: 1. It uses whole beans and automatically grinds them for you! I loved this feature! Automatic grinders can be quite expensive and manual grinders can be hard to get the right coarseness, with this it was perfect every time. 2. It has a substantial water reservoir that does not need frequent refills. 3. You can set a timer to wake up to a fresh batch of coffee. (Note, some other reviews mentioned not being able to make more than one cup at a time, we just used a larger carafe and split that into multiple cups once we were up). 4. It's incredibly convenient to make a single cup of coffee or espresso throughout the day, so you always have a fresh beverage instead of reheating from a large pot. 5. Brew time is quite quick, and it provides the convenience without the harm to the environment of those little pods since you use your choice of whole beans. (And the flavor is SOOOO much better). 6. It's much more cost and time-effective then going out for a cup of coffee from and honestly, I like our beans better. 7. The iced coffee and espresso modes were our favorites. 9. The 3 options for brew style actually did have 3 distinct flavors. 10. We loved the variety in amount of coffee brewed so you could match your mug or carafe of choice. What we didn't love: 1. If you're not used to using an automatic grinder w/ water reservoir it is quite loud. 2. When you first turn it on, there is a delay before you're able to make your selections. 3. The flip-down support for a smaller cup seems a little flimsy I would absolutely recommend this to a friend in lieu of buying daily coffee. This would also make a really great gift for a coffee lover.

Good Coffee Maker minus quality control issues
Brews amazing and fresh coffee, great features (especially the built on grinder), and versatile for a single serve machine. It’s a very good alternative to pod machines. However, quality control seems to be hit or miss at the factory. Note the light bleed through because of a gap between the top plate and screen. The right side is 2mm wider than the left. I noticed this in another video review. Disappointed for a $600 machine. Jury’s still out on whether I’ll return it, also loud.

Best Home Coffee I have Ever Had
The media could not be loaded. This machine probably has a higher IQ than I do. Jokes aside, this is a really sophisticated coffee machine and definitely is not your average "plug in and play" style that you see with most other commercial/mass produced machines. You need to take the time to properly set and prime the machine before you begin using it: Clean machine Fill water tank (I had the issue where upon turning the machine on it thought there were coffee grinds needing to be removed. All I needed to do was take out the front part where the tray is and just put it back in again super simple easy fix but I figured I'd point that out incase anyone else was wondering why they were getting the grounds/water error icon upon turning it on) Add water tank Insert bowl or cup for priming, press brew button, it's noisy but thats ok just let it do its thing. Set time, and all the other settings features (read the manual please....) Brew cup of coffee after priming. (Throw this one out as a sacrifice) Brew another coffee as desired and then sit back and enjoy There's a lot of options to utilize, and there's a lot of internal mechanisms you need to be aware of as well. Don't let that deter you from picking this up. It's like having your own barista at home. You can set your coffee temperature, tell it when to pour you a coffee (it's auto on feature) You can tell it the level of your water (for those of us who drink from the tap unlike some) - (see image with test strip) As well as choose your brew strength, and coffee size. If you want an espresso, or you want your coffee over ice, it can do that too. As well, it can also use ground coffee instead of beans. Seriously, this machine does it all and then some.. It's also great that it compounds the coffee grounds into pucks that you can then put in your compost (or trash bin, I m sure no ones looking) You do not need to open the machine up except to remove the coffee grounds every couple of days. This is super easy to do and takes seconds. PLEASE read the quick start guide and the user manual before using the machine. The instructions are very easy to follow. You do not need to use the descaling liquid that comes with it until after a months of use so there's no need to worry too much about the internal parts of the machine save for some light cleaning here and there. The coffee machine also tells you when it needs cleaning or if there's an issue somewhere. The guide will also tell you how to fix and resolve them as well. It's an amazing machine that, at least in my home, deserved its own counterspace all to itself. It also brewed me (after priming it and running a test brew as instructed) the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted. If I could give this more praise we'd be here all day. So yes, I highly recommend this coffee machine. It works, it brews coffee, the coffee from it tastes great.

My new best friend in the morning! :)
The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent coffee machine if you are looking for an automatic coffee machine with a built-in grinder! It has a burr grinder, so each dose is made-to-order and tastes super fresh. You can choose from 6 prescribed sizes: 3, 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 oz. cups and 5 brew styles: Light, Gold (I think this is their term for Medium), Bold, Espresso-Style or Over-Ice. Things to keep in mind: 1) The machine is rather large; while it does fit beneath a standard upper cabinet (18” height), it only leaves about 2 inches to spare. This is not enough space to open the lid and pour in the beans, so you either need to pull it out or find a place for it where you have no upper cabinet or shelves above. If you read the instruction manual, it does tell you to have a vertical clearance of 6” from the top the machine due to the heat that it gives off. So far, I have not found that it gives off much heat but I have pulled it out until I feel more confident that is not going to damage the underside of my upper shelf. 2) The machine does require maintenance and cleaning. It is true that you will be able to brew fresh coffee very quickly and without much effort. But, since this is an automatic machine there are things you must do every second day or so, depending on how much you brew. This includes filling up the water container and filling the bean funnel with your coffee beans, but in addition, you must pull out the front panel to empty the waste grounds container and the wastewater container. You do not want these to overflow, as it would create a mess. All the component parts are easy to pull to and reinstall, but just keep in mind that it is more work that a standard drip machine in terms of cleaning and maintenance. I have been doing it every second day. 3) I think this machine brews a great cup of coffee but if you are truly looking for an espresso coffee then best to get an espresso machine. Especially if you are looking to make coffee drinks that include steamed milk. For me, if I really want an espresso I will still use my stove-top Moka pot, as you are never going to get that level of aroma and crème from an automatic machine, in my opinion. That being said, the De'Longhi TrueBrew has become my go-to daily machine because. At the touch of a button, it brews a fresh cup of coffee very quickly and in the exact size and strength that I want in the morning. 4) Great for company too, as you no longer need to guess how much coffee to make for everyone and no more worrying about it sitting on the burner getting burnt or bitter. People can be served quickly with their individually selected brew strength and size…and if they want a second it is easy peasy, provided that you keep the water and beans topped up.

???? This is the best coffee maker I have ever used.
The media could not be loaded. ☕ The De'Longhi TrueBrew Drip Coffee Maker is a game-changer for coffee lovers like me. It is hands down the best coffee machine I have ever used, and I can't imagine starting my day without it. ???? One of the standout features of this coffee maker is the built-in conical burr grinder, which grinds fresh coffee beans right before brewing. The result is a rich, full-bodied coffee that tastes like it came straight from a coffee shop. It's amazing how quickly the machine can go from beans to cups in just one minute. ???? The coffee maker also offers a range of brew sizes, from a single 8 oz cup all the way up to 24 oz. I personally love the flexibility this provides, as I can brew just the right amount of coffee for my needs. Plus, there are 5 different brew styles to choose from, including Light, Gold, Bold, Over Ice, and Espresso Style. My personal favorite is the gold style, which is thick and strong in aroma, providing a rich and flavorful taste. ☕ Another great thing about this coffee maker is how easy it is to set up. Even as a first-time user, I found it very simple and straightforward to get up and running. ???? And let's talk about the taste - the coffee made from this machine is on a whole other level compared to Starbucks or Tim Horton's. It's so much better in taste and flavor, it's not even comparable. ????️ One of the most impressive features of this De'Longhi TrueBrew Drip Coffee Maker is it's zero waste technology. This coffee machine doesn't rely on plastic pods or filters, but instead only uses whole beans. This not only helps to eliminate the wastefulness of disposable pods and filters but also ensures that you get the freshest, most flavorful coffee possible. ???? The auto-clean function is another feature that makes this coffee machine a top choice. Unlike other coffee makers that can be difficult and time-consuming to clean, the De'Longhi TrueBrew Drip Coffee Maker can be auto-cleaned with ease, ensuring that there is no leftover coffee residue or grinds that can affect the taste of your coffee. This feature not only saves you time and effort but also ensures that you're always drinking coffee that tastes fresh and clean. ???? Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the De'Longhi TrueBrew Drip Coffee Maker. It has become a staple in my morning routine, and I can't imagine starting my day without it. It truly makes my day better and brighter, and I would highly recommend it to any coffee lover looking for a high-quality, versatile coffee maker.
