Only kit to fit really old tub

This strainer was the only strainer to fit my really old tub. Works great.

Universal drain replacement, but not high quality.

Universal drain runs small with two bigger adapters, but it’s my fault for not checking I need size 1 7/8 OD. The cross catcher of the basket is very thin compared to zinc coated type drain. I fear it will snap if I ever need to replace due to corrosion.

Perfect!!! Comes With Everything You Need.

We went to a hardware store and they said that couldn't help us. That all they had to offer and all that was made was what was there. So I was researching and found this. We have a cast iron tub that is probably almost as old as this house and it fit perfectly. Thank you Danco for making this to help repair vs replace items. It's a money saver for sure. It comes with everything you need. The washer too.

Both of mine were missing the screw.

First and foremost, this does not come with the screw, as pictured and as described on the back of the package. I purchased two of these for both of my bathtubs, and neither package came with the screw. Second, this package does come with two white fittings in case your drain is larger or smaller. Though it does not explain how the rubber gasket is installed. Watch a few YouTube videos if you're unfamiliar with where things are supposed to go, or how to properly seal it. Overall a good product, but a bit on the misleading side because neither of mine came with the screw pictured/described. One missing could have been a fluke, but two packages missing the screw is a pattern.

Great for older cast iron tubs

This was the product I've been searching for. With an older cast iron tub, it was very difficult to find the appropriate size drain. I was sent to several plumbing stores and I was told this didn't exist, and yet here it is.

Perfect fit.

After 17 years my old tub drain was in pretty bad shape. It was an easy install. Removing the old one.... not so much. YouTube has several videos that will help you remove and install this drain.

Used as an extender for thick floor

I had a tube that was put over three layers of subfloor. Because of this the standard fitting was to short. I used this one as an extender and it worked perfectly.
