Nice product
Received my Condor Rip-away EMT pouch today. I'll update my review as soon as I get to test it in the field, but here are a few things I have noticed right away: Interior: The elastic bands that secure the items are stretchy, well-sewn, and seem pretty tough. Also, some of the elastic straps have two straps on top of each other, which allows you to stack your items. The big elastics can fit a 6" Israeli bandage across the bottom, with room to spare. The 5 smaller elastics fit 2" and 4" gauze rolls really well, along with other misc. items. There are also 3 pockets: two on the back(one has a hook-and-loop closure), and one under the large elastic bands that fit the Israeli bandage. This allows for gauze pads, quikclots, etc to be neatly organized, a nice feature. The mesh pouch on the front panel is great for organizing loose items such as band-aids, moleskin, hand santizer, alcohol wipes, medical gloves, etc. Overall, the interior has a great design, and is so much better than my old kit, which just had everything jammed into it, making it so you had to dump the whole thing out to find one item. Exterior: Its big. Really big. It might be too big if you are considering carrying it on your belt, but it works fine on a backpack. Its not as heavy duty as some of the other brands out there. The material is common to most small Condor products (600D nylon, I believe). I don't think this is a minus, tho, because its much lighter than other comparable products, which is a huge plus, and its not as stiff as other pouches, which allows more flexibility when you over-stuff it with supplies. Its still a pretty durable material for what its used for. The zippers are not YKK, but are still fairly good for what they do. They are probably the weakest point on the whole pouch. The velco rip-away backing is TOUGH. It covers the entire back, and I don't foresee it ever wearing out. My biggest concern when buying this product was how long the hook-and-loop would last, and now that concern has been put to rest. Should the hook-and-loop ever wear out, the pouch is still secured by a fastex-type buckle, another big plus. The MOLLE webbing on the outside is double-stitched, as are the MOLLE straps on the attachment panel. The fastex-type buckle has an elastic retainer on it, so you can wrap up the loose webbing (similar to older-style LBE suspenders). There is a tough carry handle, double-stitched, and the panel has two D-rings, to attach a shoulder-strap. Overall, I rate it as a 4, because the zippers might end up being a problem later on. Other than that, I am extremely happy with my purchase. UPDATE- Its been almost a year later and my EMT pouch still looks and acts brand new. Zippers have held, velcro is still tacky, and nothing has ripped, stretched or been damaged. I carry my pouch everywhere- hunting, camping, bus/train/plane travel. It even went for a swim in Mexico, and its still in good shape. I highly recommend it as a high quality-to-price product. I'm considering buying another to leave attached to my travel backpack (Maxpedition Vulture-II) so I don't have to keep switching it back and forth between my travel and hunting/camping packs. Also, if you use it with a ruck or bag that has an interior mesh panel, the pouch can be directly attached to it, making the change-over easier. UPDATE #2- Two years later, and I still love my EMT pouch. Due to its size and weight, I've now attached it to my Vulture II ruck for traveling in cities/overseas. It has gotten so much use, but the zippers still work fine, the elastics are still stretchy, it has not ripped, and the hook and loop is still perfect. A fine product, highly recommended, I bought a second one to attach to my smitty built molle seat covers for my truck.

Great pouch for pretty much any use
An empty pouch with no interior pockets is about as useful as using a grocery sack for a tackle box. This pouch is your solution to that scenario. First off, I'm not an EMT, military, emergency services or anything like that. Just Joe Average. Or Tom Average, if you prefer. ;-) (Don't you just hate emoticons in reviews? I use 'em just because it's annoying) Onward! I bought this pouch as the second component for my bug out bag, the first beingMOLLE II Military 3 Day Assault Pack . Ok, I admit I only had eyes for MOLLE. Being inexperienced, I bought the pack, then the EMT pouch before I started buying the things that were going to go into it. Don't get me wrong, This pouch is wonderfully useful. Two full width interior pockets in the back, staggered; plenty of elastic web straps on the middle fold out flap and a zippered mesh pouch on the third fold out section. What makes it really sing for me the the rip away function. a velcro panel is attached to the MOLLE webbing on the pack, then the pouch is attached very securely to the panel. When they say "rip away", what they mean is, get a good grip on the bag, a good grip on the pouch and pull. Hard. Seriously, if you're in the woods and snag it on a branch, you'll probably break the branch before you pull this off your pack. This pouch is quite large enough to fulfill it's purpose as a first aid kit, which I'm putting together since all the pre-made kits are... well... less than acceptable to me. It also lends itself quite well to assemble a very nice survival kit or even just an E.D.C pouch, although in my case, it might be a bit large for E.D.C. It has two zippers, although I don't believe they're YKK if that matters to you. There's a velcro fastening strap on top that you can't really see in the picture, as well as the buckle compression strap on the front. It actually feels more robust that the buckles on the pack I linked above. For size reference, I have 2Cyalume ChemLight Military Grade Chemical Light Sticks, Green, 6" Long, 12 Hour Duration (Pack of 10) plusMAGLITE SP2201H 2-AA Cell Mini LED Flashlight with Holster, Black in the back pocket, although they only fit diagonally. However, there is still a boatload of room in there. Honestly, it won't be too hard to fill up with first aid supplies, but the second one of these I get to use for survival items? I'll be hard pressed to find enough stuff to fill it up. Oh, just FYI, two of these will fit side by side on the bottom part of the 3 day pack I linked, above.

Overall a spectacular purchase. Invaluable piece of kit.
I just received this tip away pouch today. To be fine with I want to say this it holds very securely to the Condor Medium Assault Pack that I put it on. Just building a new bag right now and was sort of thinking it was a bit bigger in my mind by the dimensions. Nevertheless, besides the IBD’s and minor surgical tools kit to put my tools into, everything fit nicely and still have room for the few things I’m adding. With the smaller size than expected it leaves room for me to attach an external tourniquet pouch to make a bit more room inside. The construction is solid. Gotta play around slightly to get it packed nice and even. (tourniquet is huge part of this problem but will be resolved with an external pouch) but once you do it sits great on your pack. The Velcro is solid. One thing is I wish the strap/handle on the top wasn’t in such a big loop because I could see it possibly catching and tearing off if you’re carrying your pack in the bush hunting or anything, but will update after finding out first hand. Will say that this Velcro is solid enough that unless tearing through the bush on foot that if it did snag, you would know. Overall I would say value:quality would be 9:10, mainly because this bag cost $56 and I got my entire main pack for $130. And I did consider the fact that it’s got all the heavy duty Velcro for the tear away and all. Just feel like compared to some of their other products it’s a little on the pricier side. An invaluable bit of kit anyway you look at it though. I’d rather spend the few extra dollars on something I know is high quality build than end up leaving it hanging in a tree because I saved a few bucks. Would definitely suggest, especially for someone matching it with a Condor pack.

Works well, good quality,
This is excellent, I use it for my haematology medicines when travelling. It has plenty of divisions and is well made. Has more space than it looks like it does

Excellent design, quality and capacity
There are lots of EMT packs on the market and most sell for half what this one does so before posting a review I also bought a Gonex MOLLE Medical Pouch EMT rip away unit. In pictures it looks virtually identical to the Condor. In person the interior materials are different, the capacity is reduced, the webbed interior pouch is smaller, and there are fewer elastic straps for bandages. So the Condor will pack everything I want and still provide easy and rapid access. It was worth buying a second one.
