Yep! This one works!
I have had severe neck and shoulder pain for several months and tried several different pillows, none of which offered any relief. This one has pretty much ended the problem. It offers support where it is needed. It comes with an appropriate pillow case, too. It is polyfill, so there is no nasty off gassing from memory foam, and is soft and shapeable, but supportive, not brick hard. It is also a reasonable price, unlike most of the others this shape. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wish it was a few inches bigger.

ok for a few days, it may be me . it just did not work for me. Support for a few days. I use it for a few days only. Going to wash to see if it bounces back.

I love this pillow!
I have constant neck pain. I’ve tried pillows of all shapes and sizes. I really enjoy the shape. It offers some support for my shoulder to keep from sliding back and keeps my neck in place. This really works for me.

Wasn't what I wanted, but ended up being a real lifesaver.
First, I must say that it was my own fault that this pillow is not at ALL what I was expecting to receive. I have an ancient Dog Bone pillow (shaped like a dog bone, natch) that I use when I nap to keep my hair from getting messed up and generally support my neck the way I like it supported (I am a side sleeper with a VERY short neck). The search was on to find either a new DogBone pillow or something equivalent. I ended up picking this one and skipped my usual crucial step of checking product dimensions. Drat! This ended up being MUCH larger than what I wanted. But I decided to keep it and see if it would be useful for some purpose. Well, I found that purpose this week! I became very sick late last week and was later diagnosed in the emergency room with acute pneumonia. It became impossible to sleep in my bed, and especially on my side as I prefer, due to the intense congestion in my lungs and how it made me keep coughing. Off to the livingroom recliner I went, and have been sleeping there for 4-5 nights. Staying comfortable all evening and overnight in a recliner when you are 61 with osteoarthritis everywhere and barking your ribs out from coughing is a tall order. Over these nights in "the chair," I have tried various ways of shielding my feet/knees from the gear parts of the footrest, of propping up my arms so my elbows don't take all the pressure, and of trying to get into ANYTHING resembling a comfortable sleeping position. I have used this Duro-Med pillow for all of the above purposes at some point this week. It has served me well these largely sleepless nights in all of these purposes, but I primarily use it on my footrest during the evening (watching TV) and then either there or to lean my body on when I'm ready to attempt sleep. As it is not nearly as bulky as a regular bedpillow, it can fit into the chair with me whereas a regular bedpillow could not (and still be comfortable). As I said, it's big. Not as big as a full bedpillow, but long and tall...just pinched in the middle (like a dogbone, which is why it appealed to me). It was obvious from the first moment I tried to use it in the traditional way that I use my old DogBone pillow (for napping on my side) that it was NOT going to work for that. There is too much pillow for my short neck. That said, I'm glad I ended up keeping this pillow. It may not be what I was expecting when it arrived, but it sure ended up being useful!

Cheap stuffing and scratchy pillow case
I decided to keep it because it does have a nice shape and allows me to sleep on my back pretty comfortably - with support. I can sort of sleep on my side, but my ear will start hurting. It is the cheapest bunched up stuffing they would find. Seriously, I am going to get a better pillow and use this one as a guide to cut a regular pillow up and make my own. The pillow case is like sand paper.

It’s Okay
Not exactly what I thought it was going to feel like. But I’m using it and it’s okay.

Really impressed by this unassuming-looking pillow
I took a long time to try out this pillow before writing my review. It's been wonderful! It supports just enough in the right place, allowing the cervical curve to keep its shape. It's comfortable to sleep on whether I'm on my back or side. Over the weeks, the pillow has developed a crease down the middle (this, seems to be inevitable), but that hasn't impaired its function or comfort. I find this pillow to be enough on its own, but on the odd occasion when I want my head raised a little more (e.g. head cold), putting a soft, fairly flat feather pillow underneath does the trick. Basically, this is a great little pillow that has done a lot more for me than other pillows several times its price. It came with a poly-cotton pillowcase that washes easily, and my only "complaint" is that it'd be great to be able to buy a backup pillowcase. But that's a minor cavil. It's excellent value for money and I'd buy it again in an instant.

Finally the pillow I've been looking for!
I've tried so many pillows and they all leave my neck scrunched up all night. Even contour pillows lift my head way too much. For a while I was sleeping either with no pillow or a blanket rolled up under my neck. But then when I wanted to lay on my side, I had to pull my other pillow around. I thought "I wish I could find a pillow with a narrow center, and wide sides for when I sleep on the side." And voila! A butterfly shaped pillow! The center is wider than I thought it would be, but the traction actually feels very nice. And when I want to move to my side I don't have to adjust any pillows around. It's so comfortable on so many levels! And the price is great. Try this is you are having trouble with all the other pillows.

Neck support
Pillow was purchased for a quadriplegic with neck pain. It seems to work well for him. Takes a little time to get used to but after about a week no complaints. You have to fluff it up and reshape in the Center where it holds the neck It’s great for repositioning so it’s proven comfort when sleeping on back or sides. The issue we have is that it only has one pillow case and have found that it is shrinking even though we hang to dry Would be nice to have a couple of extra cases.

Best Pillow Ever
I am so glad I bought this pillow. I've wasted a lot of money trying to find a good pillow. I am a back sleeper and this pillow supports my neck and I pull the 'wings' out over my shoulder and they support my head when it moves to either side. I've tried really expensive pillows that didn't work but I found the best for the least amount of money. I am really happy with my purchase and my restful sleep.
