Great heavy duty RV cord
Works great as a replacement for factory cord which was damaged. The cord is stiffer which I prefer and fits snugly into the truck socket preventing excessive dust from entering.

Wire color codes were not, SAE standards!
The color codes were all messed up and I had to figure out what each wire was controlling. It was confusing because it was not standard and It cost me a bunch of time. The quality was good it just wasn't wired right.

Heavy-duty plug and harness but wire colors/configuration didn't match my existing harness
Good, heavy-duty plug, wires (#10/2 conductors, 12/1, 14/4) and sheath but the same wire colors didn't match up; however; I was able to make it work. Other reviewers noted this might be the case/problem. [UPDATE: I've been using this plug for several days and really enjoy everything working properly and reliably. No more...will it work? Maybe? My electric tongue jack seems even more powerful than before with positive, clean, solid connections. Bottom line is I wish I didn't wait so long to fix this.] My Mopar truck receptacle (below tailgate where you plug in the harness plug) received a Phillips 7-way trailer/RV harness (10/2, 12/1, 4/14 wires). The Phillips harness uses (what I believe are) inferior single blade connectors. The plug was worn out and became unreliable, so I decided to replace it. This new Curt plug is actually a double-blade resembling a typical electrical wall outlet (i.e., the Curt female connectors inside the plug contact both sides of the male blade inside the truck receptacle vs. just one side on my old Phillips plug. The old Phillips was metal on one side and used the plug's plastic on the other side to "squeeze" the blade within the truck receptacle. With this new Curt, you get metal on both sides: more contact surface = better contact. For what it's worth, my existing Phillips connector had the following color/function layout when the plug's square notch is up at 12 o'clock (just like when it's plugged into the truck receptacle): Clockwise beginning at 1 o'clock connector/wire (brown) and ending in center (blue): Brown/+ vehicle's positive (14-gauge) Yellow/Right turn and stop lights (14-gauge) White/Electric brakes (10-gauge) Black/- vehicle's ground/neutral (10-gauge) Green/Left turn and stop lights (14-gauge) Red/Running lights (14-gauge) Blue/Backup lights (12-gauge) The new Curt plug defaulted to the following configuration when plugged into my Mopar truck outlet (with no changes or modification): Clockwise beginning with square notch up and at 1 o'clock position connector/wire (green) and ending at the center connector (yellow): Green/+ vehicle's positive (14-gauge) Red/Right turn and stop lights (14-gauge) White/Electric brakes (10-gauge) Blue/- vehicle's ground/neutral (12-gauge) Brown/Left turn and stop lights (14-gauge) Black/Running lights (10-gauge) Yellow/Backup lights (14-gauge) So while the wire (size) gauges don't match exactly with my former configuration, the electric brake does (white 10-gauage). And seeing that the wires supplying my Mopar receptacle are already all 14-gauge (or smaller), I doubt there will be any problems with reconfiguration. It'll work fine and safely, but it did take more time to reconfigure vs. plug-n-play, hence the reason I subtracted 1-star. Conclusively, the high quality is there but exact fitment isn't. Thankfully other reviewers tipped me off which did save me time. Otherwise, I might have simply trusted the new harness' wires were configured exactly as my old harness (which they were not), and this would have led to bigger problems. So as long as you're prepared to get into things and have the knowledge and tools to reconfigure, I think this 7-way harness is a good deal even if wires aren't configured exactly.

True quality plug with "double prong" connections.
Used this cable to replace the wiring on a friend's cargo trailer. This plug is "double prong" meaning that it mates with the vehicle connector by "connecting" on both sides of each pin in the vehicle connector. One word of caution, order the longest cable you can find as my original purchase was only 7' and it came up short of the connector box. This 10' cable was the perfect length and, you can always cut if off. You cannot stretch these to fit..... ;-)

Still a great purchase
I bought this to replace the current item that was bought as a package with the wiring box included. During a turn, our previous one got snagged, pulled from the truck plug and this was dragged for miles down the road so I needed to replace it. The seals on the plug end are water tight, and there is plenty of length for going from a gooseneck trailer connection down to even the rear port on our truck. The only thing to look out for it if your truck is wired for a standard trailer wiring layout, this comes wired as a RV setup. So if you're matching wire colors, it will be slightly different (purple wire). But if you use a trailer junction type box, this is an easy fix swapping out the wires while using a voltmeter.

Excellent replacement for 7-pin RV cable
Our 2018 Jayco Eagle travel trailer developed a short in the 7-pin cable causing some of the lights to intermittently not work. This 8 ft cable was a perfect replacement for our old one and we were able to wire it back in to the factory junction box in the front of the trailer. Now we have working turn signals and our brake controller doesn't get angry at us.

Looks nice but incorrect pinout
My puppy chewed through the wiring harness on my trailer. Wanting a quality replacement, i bought Curt instead of whatever random chinese junk product popped up first. While removing the original harness, i noticed all the colors matched up to the trailer wires so i ASSumed this would match up too. I hooked it up and after a quick brake check, off i went. Then i noticed that lights were on that shouldn't be. Left blinker on truck was right blinker on trailer. Then i checked wiring diagram and pinout of the plug and discovered many wires were not on the pin they should have been on. I rewired it according to plug pinout and everything works. That should not be the case with a brand of product known for trailer products.

Garbage bound after a couple of uses
Seemed like a fairly good replacement for my damaged wiring harness. The connections on the plug became loose after 3-4 uses, and we lost our brake lights and turn signals because of poor contact, which lead to a near accident in extremely heavy traffic. In the picture the connector on the top is what they should look like. Note the larger gaps in a number of others. PO'ed as it took several hours to install and reseal under my RV. Buyer beware.
