With every penny!
We've never bought a grill online, nor one that was unassembled. This was a gift for my husband for his birthday, our anniversary, and Father's Day. The grill arrived the day I came home after 6 days in the hospital. The box was HEAVY! We were both tired, so we decided we'd wait until the next day to assemble it. The way it packed was great! I was worried about bumps and scratches, but, nope! Assembly was, using the well written instructions, of course, was much aggravating than we had anticipated! Assembly took an hour and forty-five minutes. Cooking on the grill is wonderful! Lights right up every time! Controlling the temperature is easier with this grill than any other I've ever used. Our weather has been extremely hot as of late, with heat index had been in the triple digits, so I've been getting creative with using the grill in order to keep the house cool inside. Using the stove/oven inside just heats up the house too much, so I'm grilling quite a bit. I even "baked" fries in it and they were better than frying in oil! We'll be using this grill a LOT! As I said, I'm getting creative with the ways I can use this grill! I realize I said this was a gift for my husband, but I guess I should have actually said that his gift is the wonderful food that comes off the grill!! LOL We love this Cuisinart grill so much that we drove an hour ago and fifteen minutes to a butcher, prepared with coolers, planning meals to cook on the grill, and bought enough meat to fill the freezer! Before we assembled the grill, I had told my husband we should probably get a cover. He made a few comments about why a cover wasn't a good idea , (while the umpteenth rusted out grill sat on the yard to be hauled away!) After the grill was assembled, my husband told me to order the cover because that Cuisinart grill was much too nice to leave on our uncovered deck unprotected! I ordered the cover and opted to spend a little more and get the right, Cuisinart, cover! We love that as well...just FYI... This Cuisinart grill is

My Advice
I purchased this grill 2 1/2 years ago. My purchase decision was influenced by my belief that the Cuisinart brand would ensure high quality. Now 30 months later, I find that the bottom of the grill has rusted out. I do accept responsibility for not keeping the bottom cleaned out which may have been the cause. Instead of trying to find the parts and make repairs, I bought a new, less expensive grill from Walmart. That was the quickest solution. I made the purchase online as I did the Cuisinart. I was quite surprised when I unboxed the new grill and saw that my new Expert grill from Walmart was, other than minor cosmetic differences, identical in design to the Cuisinart grill which costs 70% more. It seems it costs $120 more when you add the Cuisinart name. My advice is to not make the mistake I made and base your purchase decision on brand name.

Satisfied
I like the looks of the grill and it looks like it will work fine. It was not hard to assemble but the instructions could be a little clearer. It was bent in one place but I got it straightened out with out much trouble. The box did not appear to be damaged. The mounting place for the propane tank is not great but it will work, I may try to improve that in the future. The burners ignite nice with each one having a starter spark. I think it was worth the money spent.

Works great
Came without instructions, but it did go through customs in Honduras, and they may have removed them. The online instructions were hard to understand, but we got it together. It is a great grill!

Drip pan is very thin and will rust out in less than 3 years.
I had this model and it works great for a couple years. I kept it outdoors, but with a grill cover on it. The drip pan is a very thin sheet metal and is too close to the burners. It is also very gently sloped such that grease or food droppings can stay right below the burners. This results in grease fires below the burners. This in turn causes great wear on the pan such that it rusted through in under 3 years.

Everything worked out ok only problem was it was damaged when it was delivered so there is a nice dent on the face of the grill that I purchased brand new….

Excellent for the price, but some issues
This grill has some major plusses. - Intense heat output. It gets up to 600 degrees in a few minutes. It sears meat beautifully. I regularly put in a pizza stone, get the temp to 500 degrees, and bake nearly perfect pizza. A few reviewers have complained about the open slot in back near the top and I don't understand their issue. We have cold breezes year-round but it's been no problem. The design draws hot smoke through the top rack, it works very well. - Large: I've bbq'd 10 burgers and 20 sausages simultaneously and easily, while cooking veggies on the top rack. - Very good temp control, and very nice metal grills. Bottom line: it lets me grill a lot of food very well, very easily. - Very cost-effective. Given that this grill does everything we need well, I'd feel silly for paying much more. But I'm only giving this product a 3. Here's why. - As many reviewers' experienced, the shipping box had a hole punched in it and part of the product's sheet metal was dented. I'm handy and the dent was in the back of the grill, so a little work with a rubber mallet and pliers took care of it. - The stand is flimsy, uses cheap materials, and is unenclosed. I tossed it and used the fully-enclosed stand from my old grill. Basically I installed this grill's top on my old grill's stand. Probably about as much effort as assembling this grill's stand. - The spark lighters don't work half the time. They're especially sensitive to the cold. I guess the manufacturer knows that because the unit comes with a long metal match holder, which I use nearly all the time. Net-net: This grill is very cost effective and does quite well at everything that I need. They invested in the burners, grill, and hood, but really cut corners on the stand. The package handling was unprofessional, though that may have been the shipper and not the factory. Knowing what I do now, I would still buy it again.
