super cute and fun to make
I really enjoyed this little craft project. I love using the bowls on my desk to hold paper clips and rubber bands. They are small so more decorative than useful but the design you make is up to you so they are unique to each person.

Bowls
Loved doing it but you can’t reuse the bowls to make more.

Another fun unique little kit.
Bought this for my wife for christmas. She had a lot of fun making bowls. One complaint is that the forms are a little too sticky. So it was a tad difficult to get the bowls off the forms. Also, since she does cross stitch, she recognized that the included string was just embroidery floss, so she dug into her stash and made this rainbow bowl! One tip I would offer is to water down your glue so that it really soaks into the string and give it a couple of coats.

Fun afternoon project
Fun little project. Bowls are very tiny, not really usable when done. Note the sizes.

Unsure How to Feel
I really wanted to like this craft. It’s very giftable, my daughter loved it bc she could use it to hold rings/bracelets, etc. but this thing was a mess to handle. So the directions say to use a very sticky form to add to the bowl, but let me tell you, that form was a hot mess. The sticky part wasn’t sticking to the paper it needed to, but rather my finger or the side in which I peeled off. Bc it suck to my finger, it distorted the piece, therefore making it difficult to attach to the outside of the bowl as needed. I therefore needed to piece the sticky forms together, which was a mess. The glue also was an issue. The lid detached from the brush piece so as I’m adding glue to the bowl, the brush fell off and was unable to reattach to the lid, no matter how hard I tried, so glue went everywhere. Other than that, it worked, but it was much more of a mess than I expected it to be.

not too time-consuming but the stickers were hard to work with
I thought this was interesting and different. It comes with three bowls to make. You have to take the backing off of one side of a two-sided applique, and then stick it on, and then take the other backing off. I only succeeded in doing one of the stickers without ruining it. One I totally ruined, and one got pretty destroyed but I made due. Wrapping the thread took a few minutes, then after that you have to coat it with glue four times. So, the actual "fun" part of the project was a really small portion of the time involved in making these bowls. I'm still waiting to put one coat one one and two coats on the other, so I'm not sure if they turn out nicely or not

This was fun to do with my 11 & 13 yr old girls but wouldn't attempt it with my 6 yr old..
We had difficulty getting the finished bowl off of the form. It says to touch a cotton cloth to the adhesion to allow the stickers to get covered in lint to help this, so don't be afraid to get it lint covered before you apply the string. An extra set of adhesion stickers would be nice to include in the package as I had string at home.

If you want these to turn out, there is a HUGE learning curve.
I've purchased two of these kits now. The first kit was all trial and error. The second kit was something I shouldnt of had to purchase, but necessary. Biggest problem is the adhesive sticker they send for each mold. The adhesive is HELLLLA STRONG, that even the company recommends you to rub cotton fibers all over it to reduce the stickyness before you even start. And it's not enough. The problem behind it being so strong is that it won't let the mold free itself of your work. (I guess one benefit of it being so strong is that you can use it over and over again assuming your have an additional source of thread) To make these work for me (after I purchased the second kit) I just completely threw away these adhesive stickers and just used Elmer's white school glue as the stickum. With a fresh mold, some tweezers and school glue you can actually turn out perfect thread bowls. But steer clear from the adhesive they give you. Try it my way, and you won't go wrong.
