Spectacular expansion!
This is an excellent expansion for Cosmic Encounter. Arguably the best, with only Cosmic Incursion offering real competition. What comes in the box? 1. 30 new aliens (and flares to go with them), almost all of which (IMO) really add something to the game. This is the largest number of aliens to be released in any single expansion, and the percentage of quality aliens is impressive. 2. Special Tokens for certain aliens. 3. A new rewards deck with all new cards that can be combined with Incursion's rewards deck or used by itself. It includes unique kickers, negotiate cards, attack cards, and adds all new cards -- intimidate and retreat cards. 4. One special cardboard token for each player color that you can place on one of your ships to mark it as a special ship. You can play several game variants with these tokens. 5. A hazard token that you turn over to make it obvious when a Hazard Warning is drawn from the destiny deck (which matters with the new attack cards in the rewards deck). All in all, this is a quality expansion. For what comes in the box, it's probably the most worthwhile expansion to date. Any fan of Cosmic Encounter should definitely pick this up ASAP!

Best first or solo expansion to Cosmic Encounter (you will need the base game).
The best expansion for the base game of Cosmic Encounter, this one had a lot of community created alien races in it, as you might be able to guess they are quite colorful and some are downright wacky! CE: Cosmic Dominion adds a fun new ’Defensive Rewards’ deck that makes it worthwhile to help on defense; players will be scrambling early game to snag some of these. I'd suggest this above all other expansions, or at least make it your first expansion.

No Brainer
Out of the five currently released, probably the second best expansion, right after Cosmic Incursion. In fact, those two are probably the only two that are truly essential, with Cosmic Conflict being "only" very good, Cosmic Alliance being ok, and Cosmic Storm being... yikes. Overall, this probably has the best alien collection since the core box, and comes with lots of other great additions.

The Best Cosmic Encounter Expansion
This expansion was made with a lot of fan input and collaboration, and it shows. If you see it going for below list price ($24.99) grab it at once! The only downside is that there aren't pieces for an extra player included, but there are other expansions with that option.

Amazing expansion.
This and Incursion are must own expansions. If you own cosmic, you have to get this. Of only for the alien powers. They are arguably some of the best and most insaine in the entire series of expansions. If you only get one expansion, and you don't care about more than 5 players, get this. Otherwise get Incursion. Who am I kidding. Get both.

An amazing expansion. You gotta give it up to the community to make some jaw-dropping aliens and game variants. The only downside is that some of the cards were printed oddly (only half the card was printed on) in my set. Of course, nothing to lose a star over as I'll get it replaced... when I'm not feeling too lazy to call them... someday.

I picked up this and Cosmic Incursion together and they revealed a whole new level to the strategy. The defender rewards deck is absolutely *essential,* and I don't know how I played without it. Plus, new aliens, which is awesome.

a fun addition to the game
The new powers that I have seen in play are, for the most part, a fun addition to the game. Also, the new reward cards add to the game. They added twists that brought victory from the jaws of defeat, just like should be able to happen in Cosmic Encounter

Fantastic Expansion and seller.
You should buy it early on and here's why: 1) Having access to more alien races means you get less repeats. For us this boosts the replay value of the game which I think is an important measure of a games value for both serious table toppers and casual fans alike. 2) If you're anything like us and you wait till you have played through all of the aliens in the base game before getting a new expansion you will just want to play the new races anyway so why not just increase the size of your available aliens early on! 3) Additionally: fast shipping, good packaging, and a trusted seller.

A community-driven expansion to Cosmic Encounter, worked out pretty well!
Quite a fun expansion to Cosmic Encounter. The additions to the rewards deck give some interesting twists on what existed before in the one provided by Cosmic Incursion (for example, new varieties of negotiates that may make you stronger, or weaker in the negotiation). Our groups favorite so far are the Intimidate cards, which can be played by players outside of regular combat and used as leverage to try and get invited to offense or defense. While we have not played with all of the aliens yet, the ones we have seen are quite clever. This expansion doesn't provide a fleshed out "new" gameplay mechanic outside of the rewards deck (ie. technology or space stations), but includes some tokens that can be used to mock up your own, with a few simple examples included. It also doesn't include bits for another player, but makes up for this stuff with more aliens than in other expansions. If you like Cosmic Encounter I would definitely recommend this expansion.
