Nice colourful and super light dishes

This dishes are very light and nice looking. I like the fact that they are so thin that you can store almost the double of the regular stoneware. They are very sturdy and usually do not get broken even if they fall on the wooden floor. But when they hit the critical point they literally explode! I am still sweeping tiny pieces from under the kitchen furnitures! A little pricey but overall I am very happy

Light weight and pretty

I love Corelle brand dishes because they are durable and light weight. Because they are thin and light weight they don't take up much space in the cabinet and I can use a 3 tier dish rack to stack them neatly in a corner leaving the rest of the shelf for other items. It's a bonus they make them so pretty.

Beautiful Corelle that doesn't hurt to wash.

Beautiful dish that goes with my plain white Corelle to dress up the table for a special dinner. Love that it is lightweight and durable. Washing dishes doesn't hurt my carpel tunnel or arthritis.

NIce design, easy to load and unload in dishwaser

Nice and thin, so stack well, and given their light weight, its easy to move the stacks around. takes up much less pace in cupboards than previous dishware. Seem very durable, wish the set included the salad size plates, which I ordered separately from manufacturer's web page.

Quality standards completely off

I have been using Corelle dishes since the 1970s when the hideous Old Town Blue was about the only choice available. It was so sturdy that I still had almost the complete set before I fobbed it off on my daughter when she left home and needed starter dishes. As new patterns became available, I upgraded to patterns I liked better and now have various bits from 10 different ones that I mix and match with bone china and porcelain. Yes, I have a weakness for chinaware and dishes! Corelle makes excellent everyday dishes but can be dressed up nicely too. I first purchased a set of the Portofino luncheon plates and absolutely love them. They work perfectly with the blue and white Japanese dishes I own and are earthquake resistant and take up little space. So based on how much I liked the luncheon plates, I next purchased these smaller appetizer plates. But, I was sorely disappointed from the moment I opened the Amazon box and saw that I had been sent what were obviously returned dishes from another customer boxed in pre-opened and retaped packaging. The reason for the return was clear as one plate had a chipped side and the broken bit was not in any of the packaging that I received. Now, after viewing many reviews online of newer Corelle dishes, I can see this is a common problem. I can only guess that Corelle Brands has cheapened the manufacturing process with inferior materials, just as they have done with the old Pyrex and Corningware casseroles. The old Corelle which was made by Corning before it was bought out by American Kitchen. It was made from 3 layers of pressed glass that were difficult to break but when it did it shattered like shrapnel into a million tiny dangerously jagged chards. It would never chip as this plate did. But, based on long experience with Corelle, I know that the plate I received is unsafe to use with this chipped edge as it could very well still explode in the typical Corelle fashion. So, into the trash it went as the cost to return from overseas was far greater than what Amazon credits customers with for return shipping fees. My second point of complaint is that the design looks very nice online but is hideously cheap-looking in real life in regards to the small appetizer plate. It could easily be confused with a paper plate! I had hoped that in the future I could use this set of dishes when hosting guests but I am afraid that these would be suitable only for a picnic and would accidentally be thrown away in the clean-up process. My final point of complaint is that the process of adding in the pigment for the design on the plates is no longer a smooth finish. These have an odd and unpleasant tactile feel. Other customers have also complained of this when reading reviews online. I can only guess that this process has been cheapened too. So, in summary, I would gladly repurchase the luncheon plates in this pattern but I truly dislike the smaller appetizer plates and they may find use under potted plants and they don't make nice items for the table.

No me gusto el diseño !

Éstos platos no hacen honor a la marca, el dibujo se ve sobrepuesto y le quita elegancia, de ahí en fuera lo demás son platos resistentes , Y esta marca la he usado por muchos años pero en color blanco o con un ligero dibujo, recomiendo la marca pero no este diseño.
