Durable, lightweight and absolutely beautiful with the dinner plates.

Corelle makes excellent dinnerware. For our normal everyday plates, I will never buy anything else, though I do have several stoneware pieces I couldn't do without. For plates and bowls though, Corelle is the best, hands down. These are made of Vitrelle, their more durable glass. Like any Corelle, they're incredibly thin and lightweight. They're also stackable, and excellent for saving space in your cabinet. I routinely put Corelle into the oven when I'm making nachos, and have never had a problem with it. They're also always washed in the dishewasher on super ultra power disinfect and blast oven dry mode, and have never had any etching or deteriation in the patterns. They can handle a few drops easily, though I've had a few of them shatter over the years (usually in the hands of a child who thinks they're indestructible frisbees). When they do break, they tend to send little slivers of razor-sharp glass everywhere. Good luck finding them all! The good news though is that Corelle backs all of their Vitrelle glass with a 3-year warranty, and I've never had an issue with a warranty claim. Send them a picture, they'll send you a new plate. The patterns on these plates are absolutely gorgeous. I love how there's two different designs included - the flowers and the stripes. The patterns are slightly textured, and you can feel them when rubbing over them, but they shouldn't fade over time. I got both the dinner and salad plates, and they're exquisite together. And I love how they add a little bit of whimsy with the flowers versus the lines. For those who are afraid of Corelle because of claims of lead, please note that Corelle hasn't put lead into their decorations since the early 2000s. All new Corelle is lead free, but just as durable as what your Grandma had in her kitchen. One thing to note though - while the price is currently entirely reasonable at $37 for what will basically amount to forever plates, they're currently less expensive when purchased directly from the manufacturer, depending on if you buy enough to get free shipping. It might be worth your while to take a peek.

Excellent Pattern Printing and USA Made

this is a lovely set of salad plates. The pattern is printed very well, the flowers look like watercolor denim and the others just like a pastel or crayon was marked across it. They are the dense glass, not ceramic. They take up far less space and are less likely to chip. I really like these plates and I love that they are made in the USA! I’ll be buying the rest of the set. Thank you :-)

Lovely

Corelle has been a part of my life since birth basically, and I love adding to my inherited collection. The floral print instantly caught my attention. Honestly wish all 6 plates were just the floral design, but they are a nice size and weight. Definitely better than some of the other sets that are part of the Vitrelle collection.

The lunch plates are equally impressive. They're lightweight and the scratch resistance is a huge plus. The botanical stripes design is consistent and attractive.

Genuine Corelle, pretty pattern

These lunch plates are genuine Corelle triple layer glass. They don't chip or stain and I'm sure you can break them but probably not by accident. The set of 6 actually has blue flowers on 3 and the matching flower stems on the other 3. The blue stems trio is the kind of understated pattern I like- subtle splash of color. The blue flowered trio is a little busy and a little too blue for me but I'll save those for visitors and the quality of the plate is independent of the pattern anyway. Good intermediate size for a sandwich and chips, or a dinner with good portion control. Keeper.

Great Corelle Quality

We ordered these plates to replace/update from our old Corelle. I chose to get a smaller size to help with portion control of our meals. It's working. These are very light weight and do well in the dishwasher. The patterns are very pretty and look great for a simple dinner setting.

True to Color and Design Displayed

We are repeat customers of Corelle, but this is a new design for us. The plates we received are true to the color and designs shown on the product page: three plates with stripes and three with blue flowers. The patterns are simple and feel very casual and evocative of spring. These 8” round plates are the size that I call our “lunch plates” – a sandwich and chips or a large slice of pizza fit comfortably. (We also have 9” square plates that are our “dinner plates” and the 10” square plates that we rarely use because they seem too large for our normal meals.) Corelle is very thin, lightweight, safe in the dishwasher and very tough, though I did chip the edge of one when it slipped through my old drain rack and hit the floor. These patterns are a nice refresh for our plate options and I’m looking forward to using them.

Nobody beats Corelle

Absolutely love my Corelle and these vitrelle plates are as good as they have ever been from the company. I love the new but still classic design and know I will get decades of use out of them. Hands down worth it and no one else comes close the the quality. What puts Corelle over the top from other glass is the strength, the ability to go in the oven and dishwasher without etching or scratching, alothing with how well they stack and save space. While not advertised.... they do handle drops and tumbles FAR better than typical glass anything. Yes they can break but it is usually on an odd drop that catches a corner, or hitting another piece of glass. Far longer lasting than anything else you can get and eating on glass is so much better than eating on plastic or baked ceramics with glazes coming from who knows where.
