Perfect for my slate
Perfect for my slate. If I don't need the slate it stays in my left BC pocket with this lanyard attached to a D-ring on my BC above (and outside) the pocket. Pocket zips up almost completely. If I need my slate and take it out I unclip the short non-stretchy part of the lanyard and the coil lanyard gives me plenty of play to write without worry of dropping it. Clip the short part of the lanyard back when done writing and I can just leave it outside my pocket for the rest of the dive because the non-stretchy lanyard keeps it close and out of the way.

Like it, strong but needs a minor change
This is a very versatile lanyard, very strong, good for even heavy lights. I popped a gear keeper in a second, this will take a lot to break. Much. much better than a gear keeper. It just needs a another clip or easier way to attach to BCD. You can manage with any kind of other clip or salt water carabiner clip but it should be part of the equipment.

This thing was amazing for holding my Gopro for my last diving trip to the Galapagos Islands. Heavy currents there were no issue. Clipped it stays nice and close but you have full range of motion unclipped and no chance of losing your expensive camera either way. All three clips felt secure and the main clip worked great with gloves on Depending on your setup and where its clipped you might be able to use the camera without unclipping it the majority of the time

36" Quick Release Coiled Lanyard W/ Brass Clip & SS Split Ring
Haven't used it yet but it is made at least as well as the other one I bought in a different brand. Good price and multiple options for mounting to you dive gear item. I will be using this either for my underwater writing tablet or my dive computer console. I recommend this item if you need to clip something to your BCD that you want to be tight to you but able to be pulled away to examine the item. My old eyes don't adjust like they used to and bringing my readers down on a dive is not an option. I don't drag my computer console on the bottom when I have hooked up to one of these lanyards.

Indespensible for me
I connect this between my reel and a light float tube from which I hang a game bag, lobster snare and spear. The coils are sufficiently joined so that they do not pull loose, and they are just the right pressure to keep the line from yanking in a wave. I almost never clip them together until I'm on land, and then this makes a great "handle" for my gear.

Quality problem
I purchased three of these for my night diving lights. They seem to be heavy duty construction. But, there is a lot of inconsistency in the production quality of the brass snap bolts. Two of the three had sharp edges, one of which cut my thumb when I first tried to open the snap. One of the snaps took a lot of working to get it to slide easily. I had to file down the sharp edges to make them safe for use in the water. The manufacturer should have checked these parts before assembly, or at least before shipping to customers, which makes me suspicious about the long term durability of the product, specifically where the phone cord is mounted to the nylon strap (which looks kind of cheezy). As expensive as dive lights are, I'm not sure I'm willing to risk losing one with these lanyards. The lanyards aren't worth the price.

I would be lost at work without it!
I bought this over a year ago now to use in work, to keep keys, and a box cutter close to hand, (and to stop myself putting them down and loosing them). I personally run the gold clip through the second belt loop and clip onto the first. This stops the entire unit hanging to low and helps support the weight. (The gold clip is very solid and heavy.) The only problem I have had with this product is the cord lanyard section (which can be seen at the very bottom of the picture) to which I had attached my cutter eventually frayed and is now unusable. This hasn't stopped me from using the product as I was able to affix the cutter to the built in split ring. Although the coil itself isn't that rigid, and allows relatively light items to stretch it, this isn't too much of a problem due to the quick release clip that holds the whole lot close to your waist while not in use. If your worried about the coil breaking, I wouldn't. I've caught my keys on a number of things, and instead of the coil breaking, it's jolted me back a few steps. Before purchasing I wasn't too sure if it was worth spending £13ish on at the time, but im pleased to say that if it did break or I lost it, I would definitely buy another! Highly recommended!

a bit too big for me, but fantastic performance, I wont loose my pointer under the water again, as I said I will prefer it less bulky but the resistance of this lanyard is fantastic, so the size is the less of my worries

Decent product - will definitely get a lot of use.
Much bigger than i expected - it's really secure but also quite weighty so bear that in mind if running a lightweight rig.
