Its okay

This item does the job. Its a simple job, and it is a simple machine. Although lack of decent instructions make the simple complicated, at least initially. I would recommend using a tablet or smartphone that has apps for interval timers. A lot more versatility and options. Buzzer is very loud. Other than confusing when first making settings and limited range of settings, it is okay.

Convenient and compact

I've read other reviews where people complained about their ring timers not being loud. Rest assured, you will NOT have a problem with the volume on this thing. It is extremely loud. Actually I wish there was a way to adjust the volume, because for the small space I workout in, it's too loud. It's got very basic operation. The work switch adjust from the Off position to several lengths of time to work. When the work cycle is up, it has a VERY LOUD vaguely similar to a "bell" sound that lets you know the round is over. The rest cycle kicks in at this point, adjustable from 15 seconds up to 60 seconds. I haven't tried intervals yet, but I'm guessing that when the round is over the interval cycle kicks in. It's very small, about the size of a large clock radio, but it seems to be constructed pretty well, because it's heavy for its size. I'd recommend this for a home gym, and maybe for real gyms too, if they have multiple activities happening in the same space and need distinct sounds for members to follow.

Very poor quality control

The media could not be loaded. Im on number 3 of this timer... first one sent out stopped keeping accurate time, like the 4 min timer actually went off at 2 mins and reset. I contacted the seller and they told me to ship it back and they would ship another to me. So i did and they did. The second one comes in and it doesnt make any sound...nothing. the light blinks and goes red to green so i know its getting power and trying to go thru thw motions but is absolutley silent. I contact seller again and tell them whats going on with a vid to show if needed, they said keep it and they were shipping another out and it would be tested before they ship it.... i get the third one in and no sound.... like how does this happen. Ive even opened it up to see if there were loose wires or speaker was disconnected but everything is as it should be. Very disappointing. If you are looking fo a timer with an interval look somewhere else..

The sound is just too much. ear splitting loud. Even with a towel wrapped around it. I'm going to either replace it or modify it for less volume.

Love it

Yes it is loud for small areas, but all I did was fold up a pair of sweats and place them on top of the timer and solved the problem. Perfect for working on my bag and any interval training.

Best bang for the buck timer...

Simple as it gets, LOUD, and as versatile as anyone needs who isnt doing TABATA protocols. For HIT training, or for pad and bag work or sparring, this damned shrieking demon is PERFECT, and at that price? Can't beat it...
