Decent Product
*** NOT A PAID REVIEW *** Bottom Line: Nice Product for DIY This is a review of several products in one (Arlington Recessed Outlet Wall Plate Kit ($13), Leviton QuickPort Decora Insert ($5), Leviton QuickPort Cat 5e Jack ($3), Leviton QuickPort F-Type Adapter ($5), Leviton 15 Amp, 125 V Duplex Receptacle ($7), and RiteAV Coax/Cat6 Wall Plate ($14)) to save some time while still providing feedback for anyone interested in buying these items. I purchased these items to customize my home entertainment center (basically hide unsightly cords/tripping hazards). I liked the recessed option so that I keep the tv as close to the wall as possible without damaging the cords. The other items in the list (as previously noted) fit nicely into the box but were not necessarily specifically needed. The items arrived within 2-3 days of purchase as expected for prime members. All items were prepackaged and new/unopened. As you can see in the pictures, everything fit nicely together and looked clean once installed and in use. My only gripe would be the price for plastic components but I would still recommend it and would do it again. Cons: - expensive for plastic components Pros: - fits nicely - easy install - makes for clean setup

Did not work
I have a fancy punch down tool, tester, all that. Could not get these to connect fully I could get 5 or 6 of the 8 to test good. Some fiddling and I could get a couple more, but could not get one to fully connect all 8 points. Maybe it's the cable I have, but I doubt it. I think the root cause it the IDC blades are not sharp. If you hit them more than a couple times, they just spread apart and are done. Maybe there is a way to get them to work. I found some modular couplers so plugs front and back and that will work for the 20 or so I need. I have a crimp tool for the plugs and have never had an issue with the IDC on that end.

So easy even a caveman can use it
Using these in my media panel to convert my phone lines over to ethernet (cat5e cabling). They print both wiring schemes A and B on the side to make it dirt simple to wire up properly, all you have to do is make sure your network uses the same scheme throughout and you'll be ok. I use Leviton wall plugs as well which makes the installation even simpler since it uses the same lead colour labeling scheme so once you pick one wiring scheme (A or B) it's easy to stay consistent throughout the network. After you are done snapping in the leads using the provided tool you just cut off the excess wire and snap the black cover over it. Since this is just a snap-in quick connector don't expect it to be strong enough to be used in an environment where the cable is moving around a lot since there is no retention built in.

Worked great, made wiring Cat5e.....eeeazy :)
Had to buy these jewels when I started having to "work from home" due to Covid-19. I ran basic Cat5e to my basement and other rooms to increase the speeds over what I was seeing with WiFi. These connectors were color coded and easy to assemble. I used the T-568B wiring standard for connection, but T-568A can be used without issue as well. Whatever standard you use, you must use it at the other end of the cable as well.

Great Keystone Jacks
I am an IT professional and own a IT services and support company. I received this product in an envelope with each of the Keystone jacks packaged separately. All of the keystone jacks are very well made and high quality. Whenever doing installed for customers I use Leviton products. All of these keystones worked and punch down easy. The labeling on these jacks is also accurate and easy to read for both 568a and 568b configurations. Pro tip: If your are a non professional make sure you terminate both ends of your Cat5 cables with the same configuration. I recommend 568b configurations on all installs.

Worked as described
Purchased this connector (4) to use with Cat5e 568B cables. Used the Amico RJ45 Cat5 punch down tool to punch wires into this connector. Just as others have said, 568A and 568B connections are clearly labeled with color codes. Tested the connections, and signal was clean. When you punch down the each wire, you need a little patience as well as to properly spread out each of the eight wires within a very small connector space.. Gets a little frustrating, but I was able to cleanly punch down all connections with the four connectors. Overall, happy with purchase; all worked fine. Attach the connectors to the Leviton 41080-4WP QuickPort Wallplate. - Fit just fine. At $5.00 per connector, seemed a little steep compared to other models. I went with this model because of all the good reviews.

The way to go for Ethernet wiring
I've occasionally installed Ethernet runs for work, myself, family and friends for about 15 years. These are the way to go. The QuickPort plates allow you to mix and match connectors and the connectors themselves are rock solid. They work consistently and hold up well. I recently wired my parents' new house with Ethernet drops to each room. I started out using a generic equivalent I could get in quantity locally at Home Depot. Big mistake. I had so much trouble with getting the jacks properly terminated and tested because of the poor quality of the jacks. Some jacks that were working stopped working over time, I guess because of poor tension on the wire connections. I ended up coming back, ripping everything out, and putting in Leviton instead. Lesson learned.

fool-proof wiring
These Leviton jacks are color-labeled for correct wiring so i got all of them correctly wired without any problem. Great that a small plastic "fork" was provided together with these jacks. With this small plastic fork i have all jacks in my project wired easily. Years ago i did the same job with a small screw driver and it was so difficult for me! I tested all my cables with a tester after i had my home wired, and found 3 of them had at least one wire not connected. It turned out the issue was with my Cat 5e pinouts. I bought these pinouts cheap from a local computer store. Once i cut them off and clamped on new pinouts, all 8 wires are connected. Might i bought these pinouts too cheap or i didn't clamped them well. Two things i do want to mention, if you are new to this like me: 1. These jacks and Leviton insets are directional. I was not able to push one jack into Leviton inserts and noticed i had it upside down. (Simple: just check the embossed "5e" on these jacks and "top" on Leviton insers.) 2. Each jack comes with a cover cap for you to cover it after wiring. After wiring, I had to cut the extra wires clearly along the jack. Otherwise the cover cap won't get pushed to place.
