Not bad, but not great.

I don’t have high expectations for a $3 set of nail clippers, but they were dull right off the bat. Pay the extra ≈$3-4 for better clippers imo.

You get what you pay for

They’re very cheap quality. If a hotel or hospital offered complimentary short term use nail clippers these would be it. After one use the black paint is already starting to scrape off near the pins. Neither are curved enough to get a smooth oval cut. The top and bottom parts on the small one don’t line up, with the bottom part sticking out far enough to catch a nail on, especially on the right side. The movements are rough and there’s no nail filer part to it. The only reason I bought these is because the higher quality stainless steel ones I usually use are out of stock and these were cheaper and discounted. I’m going to keep these for travel and am going to get a better quality set for everyday use.

Not exactly basic

I have never understood why the Amazon brand uses the word basics. Most of the Amazon brands I have purchased are anything but basic and are on trend with the “well known” brands. These clippers are no different. They are nail clippers that work as they should, and are well made. My nail clippers do not get a lot of workouts but I like to have them available where ever I may be so I carry them in my purse, have they at my desk, etc. These are on par with any other brand I have purchased in the past. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I am missing the file that some have. I am almost thinking that is not a thing anymore because the last two sets I ordered did not include the file. These are well worth the price and good to have in a time of need.
