It works...enough
Update: I gave it one more star because I have absent-mindedly set drinks on my book and it protected it from condensation. Also, it has held up well, and with the use of a very low-heat iron, I have smoothed out the edge imperfections. -------------------------- Tldr: I assumed con-tact would be a better option then using shipping/packing tape for covering paperbacks. Con-tact ended up raising up where it folded around 90° or more angles. Only complaint about my old tape method is the lines from the multiple strips. ---- I'm pretty rough on paperbacks, I wanted to preserve the books covers I decided to try con-tact's clear adhesive cover. I cleaned my book covers, and used a a hard metal card to spread the cover. I applied it with minimal bubbles, it looked gorgeous, I even doubled up in areas to give it extra strength. I love the matte finish. However after hours areas that had a 90° or more wrapped area has raised up. Like at the spine, or where it wraps around the cover to the inside. At first I thought it was where I doubled up areas, but as you will see in the second photo that isn't case. Also some of the film that has its edge exposed on the outside of the book has started to peel. It has been only a few days with the book covered. See photo 4. In the past, I have used shipping tape to protect my books and my only complaints were the lines the different strips created. The photo of my book with tape, was already pretty worn when I put the tape on it. No new bubbles formed. The only other complaint someone might have with this method is the glossiness. But I don't mind it.

Arrived wrinkled
This was slightly wrinkled when it arrived and got more so. Otherwise it was fine.

Wall protector
I bought this for around my trash can. Heaven forbid food actually goes in. My walls were becoming a mess. This does show some, but for the most part ots pretty transparent. I gave it 4 stars because it was warped or uneven. No matter how many times I smoothed it out, there was a bubble or a small piece didnt lay flat. Since the trash can covered most of that, I didn't stress about it. I'm happy to have an easier way to keep my walls clean.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT
I have some VERY EXPENSIVE college textbooks, manuals for when I become a substance abuse counselor, and other important books that I wanted to protect. Right from the start, this stuff started scrunched together. When I was finally able to get a solid piece off, it didn't adhere and ripped off part of the cover of my $200 "Getting Ready to Test" textbook. I will never order from this manufacturer again. If I could give negative stars I would.

Worth buying
I bought these to cover textbooks and was worth every penny. It is thick and has matte effect. Peeling off from backing paper is easy and it can be repositioned. It causes bubbling up bit using credit card you can smoothen it out. It would have been nice if the backing paper had Grid lines making it easy to measure and cut.

El producto es excelente, desde mi punto de vista si la compra mínima es de dos piezas, deberían enviarlas en un solo paquete, me llegó por separado, entonces es el mismo gasto y desperdicio de papel.

Basura
Basura de producto, el mismo producto comprado en USA es de mejor calidad, obviamente es el mismo pero la manera en que lo manejan en México es pésima, viene el producto con burbujas y despegado el papel, imposible forrar libros con el.
