Looks OK, except for the lean!
It looks well made, it matches a review on YouTube. Except fot the lean. When I placed the base unit - minus the handle, it leans to the right. I checked it fir damage, the cardboard box had a slight corner damage, but the Styrofoam was not damaged in that area. I checked with a combination square - fairly accurate (not a machinist gage and surface plate good to .0005"). The right side feet were welded that way, the paint has not been disturbed, so was an error during manufacturing. I can correct it by cutting the right feet off and rewarding them or just shim with washers. Not worth returning for this minor defect. I will take more time and check more attributes to find any more errors, before I would return it.

For the price, not bad
The good: price point, quick shipping, does what its built to do The bad: arrived with loose fasteners, fit and finish not great I bought this because I needed a tool to cut up quite a bit of shim-stock to be used for machining purposes. I didn't want to use a nibbler or tin snips because I didn't want to deal with burrs, because of the nature of the application of these shims. I had several pieces of .020" stainless shims to chop up, and this did it, almost effortlessly. However, almost all of the hardware was loose upon arrival, no big deal, snugged up loose bolts and nuts and applied some loctite. Also, theres no kind of bearing material between the moving steel pieces, so the paint near these areas chips right off and makes a mess. At some point, I may shear and punch some brass shim to use in these points, but for the time being, a little oil on these friction points seems to be doing the trick. As for the small burrs it leaves, removing the blades and spending some quality with a hone might take care of it, but they were so small, a few quick licks with a file took care of them. I would give these a 3.5 out of 5, but a 4 out of 5 doesn't seem unfair for this product.

Does the job
The shear arrived in the usual import boxing with some foam protection but due to the weight the contents had shifted and the box was torn, fortunately there were no missing parts The shear is of good quality. On the one I received there were some bolts that needed tightening. The lower jaw is held in place by 3 bolts, all were loose. The pivot bolt for the upper moving jaw was loose and needed to be tightened as the jaw was able to move side-to-side about 1/8" which is too loose for thin sheet metal. Once all bolts were snugged up the blades meshed correctly the shear cut very well. I have used it on thin material mainly up to 16 gauge. The foot plates that the shear sits on are warped upward from being welded in place causing the shear to rock slightly. They can likely be bent down. It was not an issue when clamped to my welding table.

Very nice
What a great tool. I wish I had bought one years ago. I have been cutting 16ga corten steel sheets and it cuts VERY smooth. Appears to be well made despite the fact that it was manufactured in china. Typically i try to avoid Chinese made products. Especially tools. This item arrived 8 days later than expected but this may be due to the covid 19 chaos. Very pleased with the purchase. It definitely needs to be coated down to work well. Unless you are just cutting very thin goods, then maybe not.

Well worth it!
This was purchased as a alternative to a large sheet metal shear. I have been cutting 1/16" diamond plate aluminum and is working great. A very slight distortion on the cut edge and no distortion on the other. Two people is a must with full sheets but I can handle 4' x 4' with a roller stand and supporting on the table. This thing is a beast! It is quite heavier and bulkier than I thought. Tip: Draw your lines on the bottom of your sheets, it is much easier to line up straight against the bottom of the cutting blade. There is little forgiveness, so you must be sure you start your cut straight and true, just the nature of the design. Anyway I love it!

High quality, fast and easy.
Excellent tool. I was using another high quality cutting solution and this shop sheer reduced my processing time quite a bit. I’ve cut stainless steel, sheet silver, copper sheets, and nickel sheets up to about 18 gauge with absolutely no problem. The sheer is so efficient I can’t even tell I’m cutting some times.

Works well! Cuts 1" X 1/8" CR no problem. Paint chips easily, seems to have simply been painted over another color.

Efficient Shear
I was really impressed with this shear. I was able to cut 18 gauge copper sheet without much effort. I was pleasantly surprised to see the space for cutting wire. I had no problem cutting 6 gauge copper wire.

Freakin Awesome for the Price
The unit was a lot bigger than I thought. Very hefty quality and cuts through circuit board like butter. The handle needs a lot of height to have sufficient clearance but works like a charm.
