Good strap, just needs some more grip

Wish they'd make this same strap but with some rubberized coating on the inside of the strap to help grip against the skin so it wouldn't slide down. It doesn't do it quick, but I do a lot of endurance training, and have to readjust the strap every 30-60 minutes because it falls down.

WORKED GREAT AS REPLACEMENT FOR MY OCTANE FITNESS Q45 WIRELESS HEART MONITOR

Loved that I just needed this new strap (and a new battery) to be able to use the wireless heart monitor that came with the Octane Fitness Q45 Elliptical that I had not used in 10 years. Though a different brand than my Octane Fitness monitor, this Garmin strap fit very well. Also, the elastic, while not quite as tightly woven as I might have preferred, should provide at least a few years of service which, given the higher cost of purchasing a whole new monitor, is well worth the $!5 investment.

Why wasn't my HRM strap staying put?

After 4 years of using my garmin 305, my HRM strap just wouldn't stay put. It would move often and within a few minutes, always ended up on my abdomen. I looked at the strap and it was as curly as bacon, and not as tasty. There was no elasticity left! I ordered a new strap and my HRM was back in business. It was very easy to put the new strap on and comparing the new strap to the old, it was obvious that I needed a replacement. And kudos to garmin for keeping the expensive HRM separate from the elastic strap, making it relatively inexpensive to replace the strap. My only dissapointment with the product is that it does indeed wear out and need to be replaced. I learned that I got a bit more time out of my strap than most, but it would be nice to have a superior product which lasts longer.

Perfect replacement

Great replacement for my original one that was starting to look like chewy bacon. I never realized how stretched out the old one was until I got this one to replace it. Should've bought this a couple of years ago!

Keep Your Monitor Going

These let you replace just the part of the chest strap that eventually wears out without having to purchase an expensive new Garmin strap. These, plus new batteries, have kept my strap going for years of nearly daily use.

Good price for freshening up the Garmin Heart Rate Monitor.

It's a strap. Cheaper than a new HRM. Not sure what else to say about it -- you know if you need one. Having a spare strap is also a good idea in case the other one is still damp. The battery on the new Garmin straps lasts forever, and the plastic sensor piece washes easily and seems immune to wear. The strap, however, loses elasticity or gets crumpled in places. Easy enough to replace, and the price for a new one is quite reasonable. (Garmin isn't usually known for inexpensive accessories, but this is the exception.)

I misplaced the original strap but still had the sensor so I didn't really want to have to buy the whole thing again. This strap fit perfectly. I might just purchase a second for when the elastic breaks down.

Tidy bit of kit

Well worth the money I took a chance as the strap is much cheaper on the original as my Garmin HRM monitor kept falling over each time I wore it after a short Ride especially when my work rate went up. Went through the battery changing bit with the HRM and changed the strap with another used one with minor success. Bought 3 units for a try & glad to report that everything worked together first time & a couple of years later still going strong. Remember to rinse strap after use and clean with a soapy detergent every 6 or so uses (salt affects readings) Gave my other two straps to friends having the same probs as me, they were equally impressed with the cheap fix then ordered a couple of replacements themselves to give me my spares back
