Better than hammer and box of nails

I liked that this nailer is light enough to get around but I found the air hose was always getting tangled up. I had a couple jams with it. Found they were fairly easy to clear. If I had the money I believe I would've gotten a battery powered nailer.

Finishing my basement with the help of my friend JT. He's been a carpenter for over 30 years. He loves this gun. Lightweight and easy to use. I bought the gun, but JT gets to use it. I get the dumb end of the tape measurer and do all the cutting. He does all the shooting :-)

steady seller and Standard Framing nailer - !

Light, powerful and free from minor faults. If you're thinking about Framing Naylor for a long time, don't hesitate to order this product, at least you won't have any complaints. But because it's light, the rebound is big.

Very good nail gun.

Liked my first order so much I bought another. I like the "Paslode style" nails, used in these guns, though I am preparing to try DeWalt's alternative for these nails due to price. The big box stores charge a LOT more for their nails. I have noted it easier to get my Paslode to nail flush instead of burying the nail head a bit. But sometimes burying the nail head ensures the board is drawn down properly. Pros and cons to most things it would seem. Pretty big nail gun but the weight is fairly light considering the size and that it accepts 3 1/2" nails. I feel this nail gun is a genuine bargain and I do enjoy a good bargain.

Works very well

Bought this for an outdoor privacy fence. Shot around 4000 nails without a problem at all - no jams at all. Depth stayed very consistent and is very easy to adjust. Would definitely recommend.

Durable no-nonsense nailer.

Far better than nailers twice the price. Added benefit that they are joined with Hitachi which is one of the worlds best tool makers.

Great nailer, but will jam when firing into hard surfaces

Super light and balanced. We have 7 or 8 of them because they are dirt cheap, run well on as little as 80 psi (which is awesome in the winter with ice in the lines), and shoot great for 90% of framing uses. That last 10 percent is why i would never make it my only nailer. You cant shoot through metal without it jamming a nail beside the firing pin. This means any framing in the trusses sucks because you cant shoot anything through a gusset plate. Also cant use them for wind braces. Each time it jams it gets worse and eventually they get to the point they are almost unusable and will jam when they hit a hard knot. By that point though you have gotten a few years of daily use out of them and you just drop 200 on another one. No rafter hook sucks. Totally recommend buying a few because they are a cheap way to supply enough guns for everyone on the crew, but make sure you have something beefier for nailing LSL, wind braces, or through gusset plates.

Unless youre just a DIYer, not a proffesional framer dont buy this gun. Jams really bad if hit anything harder than wood (a knot...) Had to unjam it 4 times. I returned after the 5th time...Review based on my personal experience only.

Air leacking from the back cover

I have bought 3 of these nailers because they are light and when you work all day framing it helps. Used to work with Hitachi. Although these Metabo are supposed to be the same thing, i find Hitachi worked well for longer time. Second Month on Metabo and there is air leacking out from the back cover seal.

First Nailer. Great Selection

Building a Utility building to have all my property services marshalled in one place. 400 amps, well service, septic pump site distribution. Framing with 30deg 3 1/4 framing nails. Sheathing and roofing with 31 deg. 2 3/8 nails. Not a misfire in 4 days. Add some drops of lube every day if you don't have an oiler. 2 more buildings to go. Hard to find info but it accepts 30 degree nails +/- 1 degree. Don't put 34's in it and expect it to work.

Légère et excellente qualité

Je l'ai acheté pour sa légèreté au départ car toute la journée c'était lourd pour le poignet. J'ai pesé mes 2 cloueuses à charpente, et comparativement à ma King, il y a 2,75 lbs de différence, ce qui est énorme pour une main de femme. Je suis aussi très satisfaite de la qualité, le réglage de la profondeur du clou est excellente, à plusieurs profondeurs différentes. Seul petit point négatif, le bruit est très strident comparativement à d'autres cloueuses, comme s'il n'y avait pas d'amortissement pour les morceaux fer sur fer, voilà pourquoi j'ai mi 4 étoiles au lieu de 5. Merci, je recommande grandement.
