Works
Works good, just doesn’t have light got to look direct. The trick is to listen for tone goes faster when in ball park . Be careful can over tighten if not listening.

4 triple A batteries required
Just put “4 triple A batteries required” on the box for us “ford folk”… less confusion for us and probably less returns for you Edit* There are two battery compartments on the wrench. One is behind the lcd screen and is apparently for calibration purposes only. The one you want is at the base of the handle and takes AAA batteries. It does tell you this in the instructions but I only read those when I get into trouble.

Quality tool. I would of paid more.
I have borrowed my friendsAC Delco torque wrench many times because I didn't trust my overseas non-digital tool I had. I really like the ability to easily set the torque setting needed and hear the audible sounds as you reach your set torque number. The tool is built well. The only thing I would change is to have a simpler way to remove the batteries as I do not use the tool a lot and I do not like to leave the batteries in the device for extended periods of time. The current configuration you must remove two medium/small screws first before you can snap off battery cover. Other than that, great tool and definitely worth more than I paid for it. Buy with confidence.

Money well spent.
I originally wrote this review after owning the wrench for about a month and using it on one major project. Now after a year and more uses, I'm adding additional observations and adjusting my rating from 5 to 4 stars. It's still a good buy IMO, but see below for the full details and things you should be aware of when buying this torque wrench. It's a bit pricey, but this torque wrench is perfect for smaller and more precise jobs. It's far more accurate at lower torques than the craftsman, and easier to use, and to make sure you're torquing everything down right. Digital tone rather than physical click when reaching the set torque, and works on both left and right handed threads, unlike the craftsman. Also unlike the craftsman, this wrench uses AAA batteries which are cheap and easy to replace, and even includes a nice storage case with a slot to keep a spare set of batteries. It toggles easily between Ft Lbs and Newton-Meters on the digital display, sounds a warning beep when getting close to the torque setting, and actively displays the torque readout while you wrench on it. After a day of use, it started displaying the message 'Err' on the LCD when first powered on, but it goes away after a second and still works as normal. I don't know what that's about, but figured worth mentioning. The only other problem I've had with this is that the automatic shut-off timer is relatively short--maybe a minute. That means if you put it down between bolts or take too long wrenching on a bolt to finger-tight before you start applying enough torque to get a reading, it might shut off on you and need to be turned back on. It's a minor annoyance, but you should always make sure it's still on immediately before starting to apply measurable torque if you're not able to read the screen during, or you might miss the important beep if it's not. It only goes up to about 34 NM (25 ft-lbs), so for anything above that you'll want a heavy mechanical torque wrench. This is a very good low to medium-low torque wrench though for the jobs requiring a softer touch like engine work, and fills in the gap below the heavy torque wrenches nicely. The minimum settable torque is 5 NM (3.7 ft-lbs), and while you can still read the display counting up from ~1 NM before reaching that value, I would not trust it for anything lower than that. In fact, I probably wouldn't trust it for anything lower than 7 or so NM (5.2 ft-lbs), as I've had bad experiences so far with trying to use it on ultra low torque jobs like plastic brackets where it seemed to distend the plastic before reaching the specified torque values (in the range of 4-4.5 NM), so to be safe I would say use a finer tool for anything very low in torque value, since the size and heft of this tool, combined with a potentially lower accuracy at the low end of its spectrum mean it could be easy to damage or strip things that require an exceptionally deft touch, so in those cases you may want an even smaller, more precise wrench for the low end stuff, and delegate this to the middle jobs. Between this lack of trust at the lowest torque levels and the turns-itself-off-too-soon issue, I'm knocking it one star upon this re-review, but it's still an excellent buy and worth the money IMO.

Seems to work fine, some usage issues
You have to go through digital menus and the instructions are vague. But I eventually figured it out. I had to search out some youtube videos. Wish somebody would make a simple one for us simple people: 1. Turn it on, 2. Turn nut and read the ft lbs. 3. Turn it off.

Good solid tool
Good solid feel and operates (gives torque reading) in both directions. Still to check the calibration but having the certificate is a good start.

Good buy but total failure for ACDELCO
I will make a youtube video about this unit but overall it's quite accurate but the instruction manual is a total fail and the display screen is on par with a low cost item. I have to wonder if this is actually a ACDELCO product because the manual is far from what I would expect. These offshore licienced manufacturers need to get their manuals checked by people that actually understand sentence formation and a basic understanding of the English language.

A must have tool for mechanical work
Does what it's supposed to do. The menu and setting up torques can take a while to figure out and get used to. Feels great in the hand, it's light and easy to use otherwise. After having owned this for about 2 years these are the deficiencies I came across. The screen get's easily tarred after repeated cleaning with brake cleaner. The tool tends to turn off if not used within a set time which means that you have to keep checking to make sure it's on, otherwise, you could end up over torquing your bolts. I would hope for a setting to set the timeout limit. Lastly, I found recently that when trying to remove a bolt the notch used to put it in reverse would move to the middle and the wrench wouldn't work properly. I do see in the picture above that they may have updated this mechanism so it may not be a problem anymore. Overall, a great tool and can't go wrong for the price.

Garbage - Error messages
Garbage it can easily go into an error message that you have to send in to reset. Nothing but problems. I can't believe they put their name on this. Absolutely a waste of money. Download the manual and see for yourself, over torque causes an error and you can't reset it.

it works great and very accurate
First, it works great and very accurate. ( ACDelco ARM601-3 3/8-Inch Digital TW) Two issues: one is the battery from very first day , it works only with very-fresh 2x1.5V, not the rechargable one. Its LCD screen has been "inked" now , and some grasses seem growing inside. (after 1.5 years weekend plays) The box shows HEAVY-DUTY, actually it is not, and it not well sealed from "wet" and "dirt". Acdelco has newer version digital torque wrenchs with led flashing, vibarate warning, angle gauge capabilities. (made by SUNHENG technologies, Taiwan)
