THE SERVICE!
I love the product! Was exactly what I wanted. I added assembly. The two young men were amazing. That explains everything they were early, completed the project very quickly. Explained more to me. It is my opinion that when using subcontractors because Amazon does not have people who are qualified, they should be paying these men a lot more than what they are. Their distance and driving time which I questioned was hours to arrive an hours to get back. Not to mention the heat that they are out in and that is only going to get worse. I cannot commend these two enough! This needs to go to corporate the ones who have all the mansions, the pools, the cars and are not paying their people enough. without the workers, they would have nothing. Congratulations to the workingman who cares!

Awesome
This is a fantastic smoker/grill. The box was a little dinged up by the delivery service, but the contents were fine. Tons of cooking space and looks amazing.

Not easy to assemble for an old guy with no help
Surprisingly the assembly instructions are NOT Chinglisch That said mine arrive in slightly beat up box ...it is very heavy and UPS driver had to help me load in on my garden tractor trailer. Once unloaded in my shop to assemble, I was pleased that despite the rough condition of the carton very little damage to the item...yes a little cosmetic scratches and dents but from reviews I expected it to be a bit rough, all in all not too bad. I am 67 disabled vet and wife is 65 just of knee replacement surgery so she was not able to help. I did get creative with wrestling the fire box into alignment to bolt to the main grill end. and also when in needed to put on the lid to main cooking body. Ideally these tasks are two person needed so be aware this is a PITA to self assemble. I got this specifically to rotisserie the most expensive Thanks Giving Turkey every, thus bought the suggested accessory rotisserie device. NOTE the main box lid has U shaped stamped cutouts for the accessory and holes for the brackets...I had to use a Dremel cut off wheel to help remove the cut outs as the stamping was not deep enough to just bend them out with pliers. Also the 4 pre punched holes for the rotisserie adapter plates were too small for the hardware of the accessory. I like that you get cooking cast iron grills for the main box and the smaller fire box. Note that the two wood slats and three slats for the front and left side trays are a very strange wood that I sprayed with polyurethane because they are very light and porous. I suspect left raw wood they will absorb spills and stain badly. All In All despite how damned heavy this bugger is .... I think it is a better smoker grill than the $400~$700 units at Lowes and the like, I.E a lot of bang to the buck IMO

Missing parts and arrived damaged
Just assembled today and have not used it yet, so this is first impressions. 1. The box was pretty beat up and heavily taped. Looked like it had not been treated well and unknown if this is the shipper or it was shipped this way. 2. When I opened the box I saw that the pieces inside, wrapped in plastic, were scratched. The plastic wrappers on them were in bad shape, almost as if the box had been opened before and repacked. So blaming the box condition on the seller since I highly doubt the shipper opened the box and repacked it and taped it back up. 3. The two halves of the main body of the smoker were bent. I was able to "gently" persuade them back into shape with a 4 pound hammer and a 2x4. The coal tray in the fire box has a lip on the end of it that is spot welded and a couple of the welds are broken and the lip is belt. 4. Minor issue, there were a couple or three pieces of hardware missing. A few too few screws and washers and cotter pins. 5. The instructions were marginal. There were 5 types of screws in the box. Carriage bolts, 1/2" Hex, 3/4" Hex, 1 3/4" Hex, and 2" Hex. Some steps would say to use a 1/2" hex, other steps would say to just use a Hex screw. I ended up with too many of one type of screw and not enough of another, which may be the reason I seemed to be short screws. 6. There are a couple steps omitted. For example, it says to install the side shelf, only it gives you no directions on what parts or how to put the side shelf together. The front shelf step, which is the next step, DOES show how to put the shelf together so I managed the side shelf modelling it off the front shelf instructions. 7. I ended up with two extra parts. One looks like a grease can holder but there is no mention of it . Only way I know this is because my nephew has the same smoker and I saw it on his. Second part is some kind of cast iron piece (handle?) with a leather strap. My best guess (SWAG) is it may be a tool for removing the coal tray from the fire box? Maybe if I read beyond the installation instructions it may mention it, but then again, who reads the whole manual? Overall, I bought this after using nephews smoker. I was very happy with the results for it so I anticipate it will work as expected. Hopefully the review option will allow me to append this later? If it does work well, I can overlook the issues above and hopefully re-rate this smoker.
