constantly clogging nozzle
i should have read the reviews first and I probably would have went with a different sprayer. the nozzles clog like crazy and have to constantly be clearing them. my nozzles were clogged out of the box without even using. after you get the nozzles cleared then they spray pretty well, but definitely not worth the price for this imo.

Made the job easier just not as easy as I'd hoped
I admittedly have only used this for one job but it was tricky to use. It comes with 3 nozzles for spraying products of different viscosity. Per the instructions I used the largest nozzle for the stain I had but it didn't spray very evenly, it was like using a squirt gun. I was staining a picket fence and this is not the tool for that job, it wants to spray in a 12-18 inch pattern but my planks are 6 inches wide and 6 inches apart. To get the job done I used this sprayer in one hand to apply the stain and a paint brush in the other to apply it. This was a lot faster than dipping a brush but not as easy as I'd hoped. I can imagine that this may work when applying stain to a deck or large fence surface, but the spray is not even though that you can just go over it once, especially if the surface is aged so that it absorbs the stain or has lots of nooks and crannies, I think you would have to use a brush or roller even after spraying. The extension wand is a bit flimsy and tends to bounce around in my hand which makes it difficult to spray a straight line. It's also difficult to clean, the instructions say to clean only with water.

Worked great!
I applied 63 gallons of sealer with this sprayer and would absolutely purchase again. . I used the 1/2 gpm tip and kept pumping, so the tip would spray the correct fan pattern.

Will not spray Waterseal … only streams
Bought this product to spray fence with Thompson Waterseal. Streams out instead of spraying making it useless.

works kinda ok
while the siphon tube is large, you have to constantly clean the nozzles. make sure the tank is very clean before you use it or the nozzles will clog, and the only way i found to clean then is with a straight pin or sewing needle

Thompson’s WaterSeal
This product works as advertised. I used it to spray Thompson’s WaterSeal on the fence around my backyard. The old sprayer that I used to start the project was “less than excellent” and I was using more of the WaterSeal than was necessary. Once I got this sprayer, the work went much faster and I wasted less. It took approximately 30 gallons to complete the job and this sprayer paid for itself several times in more efficient delivery. To be clear... It’s nothing special. It just works well with the more viscous liquid. I’ll continue to use it as my primary sprayer since it has three nozzle tips.
