Best Purchase EVER

Seriously the best purchase of my life. I was looking around for one for so long but they're pretty pricey cause they're huge. This one finally went on sale and I couldn't say no. I was very hesitant on which size to purchase because I didn't want to get a parachute that was too small, but also didn't want one that was too large and impossible to travel with. The shipping was super fast and came well in advance to when I needed it. I actually purchased this in hopes of bringing it with me to camp. I attended a music festival and brought this so when we have down time in the camp site, we could take this out and have fun being kids again. This parachute was a HUGE hit!!! I camped with 3 of my friends, and 10 minutes into using this we had over 15 people! It was such an awesome ice breaker, and it was nice to have some innocent fun and meet strangers in a fun way. This was big enough for 15 or so people, we even had space for more. We even put some ping pong balls and beach balls in the center and were able to bounce the, with plenty of room. The parachute comes in a nice bag to consolidate and pack away. I will say it's difficult to get the parachute back to the folded size it was, but I just keep it in a backpack for safe keeping. The material is sturdy and resistant. Worth every penny, my friends and I had so much fun and made such good memories.

Great fun for the kids!

I saw this parachute at my local Y, and thought it would be a great idea for all my grandchildren. At the 4th of July cookout, when I brought this thing out, the kids were thrilled! Of course the first thing they want to do is shake the heck out of it, but it seems like it is made well. Good stitching, durable, lightweight nylon. I went with the 20ft wide because there were a lot of kids. Even the adults grabbed a handle and had fun with it. I didn't know what to actually do with it other than have the kids flap it and run under it. I felt it should have come with a sheet of suggestions for activities, but it does not. I went online and found the games and printed it out, so the next time I knew what could work for the kids in our age group. These all come in sizes, so plan on how many kids/people will be using it. I think the 6 and 10-12ft, would be too small to do anything with. Go big!

Great Parachute for Kid's Games

I have been comparing parachutes for some time for an organization I work for. I went for this one based on the current reviews. I was very happy with this purchase. The parachute itself is made from nylon which seems to be well sewn together. It comes in a simple bag for storage. The parachute itself is broken into 12 panels, while there are 16 handles. This is one area of concern for me as the handles do not all line up with a seam, but I will have to see as we use this parachute more if there is any failure. Regardless, the handles seem to be well sewn into the parachute along a double seam on the edge. The size measures at 20 feet (for the one I purchased) which will easily fit 16 people under it (including some adults). I would recommend this product both for its quality and value.

Decent quality, great price.

This was a good size for my pre-k students and the price was very reasonable. I was worried about the quality, but overall it is good. The seams have held up well. I have used this in my school courtyard, so it has gotten some holes from students stepping on it. The mesh part in the middle did not hold up, but the nylon fabric and handles have held up really well. I will try to replace the middle part with a heavier mesh. If using outdoors, I recommend having the students use it in a grassy area so that it does not get torn up. It is not as good of quality as those in our PE class, but better than the ones you find super cheap.

Just too small

I remember playing with real parachutes at school back when I was a kid, so I was really excited to find this affordable and more accessible product. Since I wanted to use it with toddlers mostly inside I went for the smaller size. After trying it it out once I've already decided to return it and get something larger. I thought small for smaller kids would be great, but really it's just not as fun and is kind of difficult for them. It doesn't billow up at all or or float down slowly. YOu might as well be shaking a sheet with handles. Also balls bounce off the small size quickly and it's more difficult for kids to manuever- to try and quickly all get underneath before it's already on the floor. I forgot that you can use a bigger one even in a small space since really you stand much closer together than the circumference of the product. I've gotten better effects playing "the parachute game" (running underneath while it floats down) from a large tarp, although it's more difficult for young children to hold onto.

Good parachute

Seems sturdy & good quality. Bought to use as a fort-maker for our dome climber. 12’ is a good size for making a fort & I like that it doesn’t go all the way to the ground so the kids aren’t constantly walking on it.
