Works Great With Drop Bars
I put in on a cyclocross commuter I've converted in a cargo bike for DoorDash deliveries. The basket is a great size for carrying coffees and soups. I was worried how it would fit would drop bars, especially since I have 40cm width bars (typical mens drop bars are 42). Fits perfectly although you really can't use the tops of the bar to rest your hands anymore. The bag is nice but you can't see what's going on with the drinks if you keep them in there. I had some coffee spill on me a bit in there. The bag would be better for bottles. Obviously the bottom is pretty minimalist, in the future I will use velcro strap to keep soups and drinks upright and take it really gently on rough streets and train tracks. They eyelet thing on the side works great, although it needed a longer screw than the one provided with the Origin8 eyelet stub I got. Don't be an idiot and install it like I did. I had to get a guy at the bike ship saw off a screw. It comes with a curved bracket piece. Use it! It goes under your stem and prevents gravity from making the basket drop too low. Use the longer screws on the bottom to accommodate the bracket. The video PDW provides is useful for installation, watch it. I got the friction tape like it recommended and slapped on some on there. The basket is on there solid. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that 100 bucks is pretty ridiculous for a little basket like this. Sure it looks great but I don't really want to be paying a bunch extra for the hipster chic this basket has got going on.

wonderful little accessory
I'll follow up in a few months time, but so far (about a week comprising 10-12 rides) I love this thing. I needed to detach and readjust my brake handles and cables to fit it on my old Trek 930. I imagine this might be a bigger (and perhaps insurmountable) issue on other bikes and for other people. I used the little shallow-u-shaped bracket (included) to ensure that it doesn't sag, and this thing is solidly on there. The little semi-insulated bag is ideal for lunches and snacks. And personally I think it looks great. One small gotcha was that my U-lock was long enough to rub the front tire (lightly) but I use a security cable too, so if I always put the security cable under the u-lock when its in the holster, the problem is solved (and it also helps prevent rattling). I also wish there were better ways to fit accessories on the basket itself (there is an single eyelet on the side that you can mount things with a screw, nut and washer, but, the you end up having to put something likeOrigin8 Eyelet Stub, Black (which BTW, doesn't come with a long enough screw nor a washer and nut). Its a little on the pricey side, but I was lamenting having to bungee my u-lock onto the trunk rack, because it doesn't really fit anywhere else on the bike. Design-wise, I was wondering why they didn't put the U-lock holster on the side close to the handlebars, to alleviate weight issues, but that speaks more about me than the product. All in all though it still rates up there at just shy of 5 stars for me. I guess I would give it 4.75 if I could, but I don't begrudge giving it 5.

Just installed it
Just put it on so haven't had a chance try it out. Thoughts so far: Wish it were a little larger. Very nice bag I agree about the difficulty of installation. Not installing the little curved cross bar will make it easier IMHO. I used 5 x 35 mm bolts to install the cross bar but would ignore the bar if I was reinstalling the rack. After server weeks use: I assume that the rack was designed for form/looks and not function. (Make it look cool and don't worry about actually carrying something.) While it works fine to store my coat or a few small items from the grocery store, it really needs to be larger. Even a couple of inches in width and length would make this a much better rack.

It's great, the bag is great
It's great, the bag is great. One complaint that I have though is that because of the spacing of the bars/cage, a bag is pretty much necessary for all but the largest of items. If I leave the house without the bag it is unlikely that a quick stop at the store will go well, because just about everything will fall out without a bag. It's solidly made. Costs about twice as much as I think it should. All these complaints aside, there aren't really any competitors. The lack of need for stays that attach to the fork/axle means that your bike can still be loaded onto a bus or other rack that requires the arm that swings over the front wheel.

Sturdy, light weight, very practical basket.
I'd been thinking about getting a front mounting basket for a while because, even if I wasn't picking up something from the store that was big, I'd end up driving if it was too awkward to tie down on my rear rack, read: a 6 pack of beer. On a short riding time trip, I'd spend ten minutes using bungee cords to strap stuff down, only to turn around every 20 feet to make sure it hadn't fallen off. I also wanted something that wasn't girly looking, so this fit the bill. It's great to just plop stuff in there, and it's probably already paid for itself in gas money saved. It looks good. It's light weight. You are limited to the amount of stuff you can put in it, but I had a half a gallon of milk and a few other things thrown in there and it didn't buckle under the weight, so it's sturdy when mounted. That being said, it's not quite as easy to get the basket mounted on your handlebars as the instructions might lead you to believe. There's only a handful of nuts, bolts and washers, but the nuts are self locking so you have to twist them pretty hard - while the basket is falling down. An extra set of hands would be helpful. Also 2 of the bolts were just slightly shorter than the others which I didn't realize until I had it fully installed. So I started over for aesthetic reasons. If you were planning on switching this basket between bikes, you might want to look for something else. All in all, well worth the price.

I wish I could like it
Quality is great. The only problem, which is a big problem, the required 4nm doesn't keep the bar even. Package was also missing some screws/bolts

Brilliant little basket
Brilliant little basket that's tough and looks good. Really handy for the odd bit of shopping, jacket, bike lock. It also comes with a quality hard wearing vinyl bag which you can loads of stuff in.

Good but not great
This is a great basket but it's a bit smaller than I anticipated. My only other complaint is the mounting hardware. I found it quite difficult to install - you have to use the optional piece that keeps the basket from slipping forward. It won't hold very much weight without that optional piece. The bag that comes with the basket is great, but I wish it came with some better carrying straps (they're too long).

Best purchase ever!
I bought this for a friend on his request and anticipation. He absolutely loved it and has used it extensively! His words sum up the review of this product.......

it will go much better for you
A bit finicky to install...if you can get someone to help, it will go much better for you. In the end it looks great and is the perfect size, exactly what I was looking for. I mounted mine to a retro inspired Breezer Radar Cafe bike. Cant wait for my first trip to the beer store to carry back a 6 pack LOL!!
