Came in handy
Although it gets sparse use, I needed my generator after we recently had a tornado here in Western Ma. The generator has four conventional outlets and one 220v four-prong outlet. Not having any need for a single 220 line this item allowed me to quickly, and safely, get an additional 2 regular outlets; very handy. It is stupid easy to use wont take up a lot of room when you put it away. A small note: If you have the means; get a backup generator and equipment like this splitter; you do not want to have to fuss around for extension cords and such after you have lost power. I have had a generator for years because of concerns of losing power in the winter and as such heat for the house as well. I only used it in the spring and summer as a portable power source for electric tools; I never thought I would need one in the warmer times of year because the power outages were usually very short and heat was not a concern. The recent tornado that devastated much of our neighborhood certainly changed that thinking. The first night the only lights in our area were from flashlights, emergency vehicles going up and down our road, and my house. With our 7000 watt generator we had the TV, satellite box for the TV, air-conditioner, fridge, freezer and some interior lights; I had extension cords all over the place, but we had power. Most houses around here have cable TV, which was out, and no one else, near by at least, had power, so the neighbors could come over & watch the news with us for weather updates. The generator was a costly purchase, $1000, but I am immensely grateful to have had it when I needed it. The next step I want to take is a switch box for plugging the generator directly into the house and an adapter so I can run it off the natural gas we use at the house so I wont need to worry about fuel either. Have a Magical Day.

Confusion, returned item, then finally learned that this was the correct item
I chose this adapter because the description stated it was US made, and decided it was worth paying extra vs the Conntec adapter which was $8 less at the time I made my purchase. I received a cord that was packaged as "Ultra-Power 10 Gauge Generator Cord" by CCI and made in China. I filed a return request, stating that not only did they send the incorrect item, but that the item I received wasn't even listed on their website. So, without comment, Amazon authorized return of the cable, and immediately shipped another by next day air, and lo and behold, I received the identical item again. I called in exasperation, and the CS rep asked me to read the fine print on the bottom of the package, which read "Coleman Cable Inc.". I decided to keep the adapter after all, especially after all of the expense Amazon went through because of my mistake. However, I believe that I actually saw "made in US" on the listing when I ordered it initially, and that they edited it later. There is the possibility that I saw this on another adapter by Coleman Cable, but I doubt this. Anyway, I'm doing both of us a favor by submitting images of the cord in its packaging and the bottom panel showing the country of origin. I am old enough to deservedly be wary of modern Chinese metallurgy and product quality, but I'm being forced to trust it like everyone else. The only quality concern I have so far would be that the four prong NEMA plug has a loose "sloppy" fit inside my new Wen 3500 watt generator's receptacle. I hope this does not set up a situation where it might arc.

Heavy Duty Generator Cord with 120v output
I ordered this cord to add to my generator gadgets. With this I can can plug either an extension cord or a multi plug with an on /off switch. Because the amperage is higher with this cord you can use it for higher wattage devices. It's short enough that it's easy to store. Price was very good and did not hesitate to order. I believe the clear female ends are lighted also, but have not tested yet. This plugs into the 220v , but the output is 120v each female end. A very well made cord I know that will be of value when the time comes.

very high quality
good quality and longer/heavier than expected. the cord is a 10 guage wire so its very thick, has plenty of length and the lighted plug are a convenate touch, now mor searching for the ends in a dark space. if you have never used the twistlock on your generator and you have a 120/240v switch on you generator than you must select 240 for the cord to recive power via the twist lock port. unfortunatly with my generator when in 240v mode the 120v RV and standard plugs built onto the generator are disabled. however with the wireing of my generator the twistlock consist of 2 120v circuits that when combine make 240v, this cord treats the 2 circuits as 2 circuits thus instead of having 1 30 amp 240v plug i now have 2 15amp 120v plugs, point being i can run more off my generator with this cord.

Quality Product
This review is for the Coleman Cable 01934 3ft Generator splitter. The cord feels heavy duty, will made and the wires are 10 AWG STOW. I was looking for a splitter which would allow me to utilize more of my generator's power. This allows me to tap both legs of the 30 amp 240 outlet for 2 ea 30 amp 120 power for a total of 7200 watts. It also allows me to plug in to my electrical panel via and outlet and again achieve the same. I find this useful for running my higher amperage construction tools such as an air compressor, table saw, mitre saw or circular saw at the same time.

Not waterproof. . Be forwarded
You read fine print on the tag and it says don't get wet... buzz kill .. ok ok will wrap anyways in electrical tape but out the box you would think... quality looks ok tried it and it holds power to fridge, a drill press, and portable AC unit on a 5000 watt generator. Long-term I'd say the plastic will crack in 2 -3 years but worth the $ spent. The non - water resistant thing irks me.

VERY sturdy cable
I used this product to split a 220 plug into two 110v outlets for RV use. They are very solid with their connections. Love this cable...!
