Great brace but not for everyone

This is a great ankle brace if it fits you, I have known many people who have had theirs for 2-5 years and love them to death so I had very high hopes for this brace. I originally ordered a extra small because my ankle measures in at 6 inches barely, thought if anything it would be big, however that was not the case. I recieved the item very quickly, within 2 days. First impressions of the brace were good, the sides have rigid plastic for support that can be taken out or left in. As soon as we started to actually try to put on the brace is when we had the problems. My first problem was getting it over my heel, it was kinda tight but not terribly, wasn't a big deal in my opinion as many ankle braces are. The big issue was where the rigid pieces sat, they didn't even cover my ankle bone, they barely made it half way across the bone, we placed in a request for a exchange and again it came very quickly and hassle-free. We then had an issue with the plates being to big along with the entire top side of the brace. I believe it is because of my ankle and should fit most people but not everyone, Amazon was amazing during the entire process and very helpful. Cons - doesn't fit everyone - a little confusing at first to put on if you don't look at the instructions Pros - very secure - not over restrictive - breathable material I can not say much about the support or function for a volleyball brace as it didn't fit me right to get to play volleyball with it on. they returned it without a hassle.

Wonderful Ankle Brace

My daughter sprained her ankle playing high school volleyball a few years ago. At the time, I found this brace. I was specifically looking for something different than the braces with the rigid metal/plastic supports. The concern was that if the ankle wouldn't give to some extent during play, the knee may blow out (causing an even worse injury). This brace gives you the option to use plastic inserts for more support if desired. However, we don't use them. Given that my daughter plays year round volleyball, we bought several more of these over the years. She wears them on both ankles for additional support to avoid a sprained ankle. On numerous occasions, she's told me that it made the difference during plays at the net and kept her ankle from turning. Although they're made of a deodorizing material, when used daily and for long periods, no item is going to stay fresh. However, we just thrown them in the washer (after making sure all the Velcro is affixed) and then air dry them. Works great! Because we've been so pleased with the performance of these braces, we won't purchase any other kind of ankle brace.

Great volleyball ankle brace

Bought these for my daughter since she recently rolled her left ankle during a volleyball practice which resulted in a fairly bad sprain according to the orthopedist. She is a setter and never thought about wearing ankle protection for preventative purposes. As a result of her injury and her desire to return to play, we bought these. They work very well. Easy to put on after the first few tries and they offer excellent stability and immobilization to prevent further ankle rolls. She liked them so much that we bough one for her right ankle to prevent injury. She says she likes these a lot better than the Active Ankle brand of braces that she used to wear for basketball. There are no rigid plates or side braces on these like there are on the Active Ankle braces which she found uncomfortable. My daughter and I highly recommend these braces for their ability to protect her ankles with comfort.

Most supportive ankle braces for Volleyball

My daughter loves these ankle braces. The last pair we bought she had for about 3 years. Just bought our second pair! They are a bit pricy but they last a long time and provide the support needed.

Great support and comfoet

After a very bad sprain this helped so much with returning to play. A few weeks earlier than expected. The support is great and does not irritate. Easy to wear and you forget it’s on.

It was a little confusing on how to put the velcro straps on at first. There was no size chart to follow so i went to the Mizuno website and got the information on what to measure for sizing. It was a little uncomfortable for her at first but by the second practice it was all broken in. Now she uses them all the time when she plays and won't play without them.

One loves, one doesn't

My daughter loves the fits. 14 year old 105lbs 5'2" her friend, a little bigger, doesn't love them. with removable plastic pieces, this is nice. I have already recommended this to other folks.

Es perfecta

Me gustó que su estructura cumple con la protección y apoyo para realizar actividad física, aunque es un poco voluminosa al usarse con los tennis, si tu lesión es reciente requerirás ayuda para colocarla y quitarla ya que si es un poquito complicado ponérsela. Me gustó y me permite hacer mis actividades con buena movilidad mientras me recupero.

Estabilidad al jugar

Ya conocía el producto por una versión anterior a la actualmente adquirida. Decidí comprar el par debido a que me sujetan y dan estabilidad al momento del entrenamiento y/o juego (voleibol y tenis). La parte del talón ajusta perfectamente, por lo cual les recomiendo medirse bien para obtener un mejor resultado. Las cintas que trae son similares a los cruces que se hacen con cinta (anclajes), por lo cual el tobillo está protegido en todo momento. Altamente recomendables.
