GREAT

I hate wearing ankle braces and a friend of mine told me to try this out for when I play basketball. When I tell you it feels way different (to me) then other ankle braces…. It felt perfect on my ankle and I would highly recommend. Only little issue to me is that it causes slight heel slippage when playing basketball.

It is OK

I have one of these from my occupational therapist after I broke multiple bones in my foot and ankle. The problem is I have worn that one out to the point of scrap so my co-pays are extremely high to replace it through the same place. I found this bought this thinking it would be close to the same. That’s where the problem comes. Yes, it is the exact same company in the style is the same but the quality is not. The sewing is crooked making it slide to one side, no matter what you do. The bottom of the foot is extremely painful. The way they sewed this one so as you walk, it seems to pull into the bottom of your foot right under the front toe joints. Didn’t replace my messed up falling apart one yes I just try not to wear as much as it causes enough pain to make it uncomfortable. maybe this is a fluke one as humans make it and none of us are perfect. I don’t know, but at the cost you’d expect it to be perfect or as close to perfect as possible. But if you need this brace as you sprained your ankle’s or your healing from torn ligaments or broken foot, this will give you the strength that is needed to keep you walking. You may just have some annoyance.

Did not get support I was hoping for. Needs two people to put it on and two to take it off. It is not a bad a bade brace. It was me expecting was better support. I’ve got it own now.

Not comfortable, but does its job.

I tore my peroneal longus tendon in my ankle, and my doctor prescribed this ankle brace. First of all, if it's possible, always check Amazon first to compare prices. In my experience they have always been far cheaper for the exact same product than what my doctor's office charges, even after insurance. I have worn this brace for casual, everyday use for over a year, and it is just beginning to fall apart. It definitely stabilizes my ankle. However, it does take a little longer to strap it on due to the laces, figure 8 straps, and ankle strap. You will need to adjust it throughout the day as your leg/ankle swells. I wear an athletic sock under it for comfort. Unfortunately the binding on the heel part digs in making it feel like I have a bone spur on my heel. I wish the brace could be redesigned with some kind of padded, cushioning material at the heel. The figure 8 strap also digs into the middle of the outside of my foot and causes pain. I try to adjust the position of the strap, but the discomfort is probably somewhat unavoidable due to my injury. The brace definitely shreds the inside of my sneaker lining--especially in the heel cup area. I have reinforced my sneaker heel cup with a thin layer of duct tape due to the damage from the Velcro edges. Perhaps a knee high could be slipped on over the brace to avoid destroying your shoes? I found out too late to prevent this. Unfortunately, sneakers are the only shoes I can wear with this brace. It's just too bulky for any other shoes. It's definitely not perfect, and hopefully improvements can be made to make it more comfortable on the heel, Achilles tendon, and outside of foot. However, it has stabilized my ankle to keep me from injuring it further.

It does the job

It holds my foot well in place and help me recover from my injury. Not the most comfortable around the ankle area, specially when wearing work boots and walking most of the day. Having to tied it up does not make it practical to take it off or put it on.

Career saving brace

My right foot has suffered from tendonitis for more than a year now, and I can't remain standing for more than 2 hours. However, with this brace I can remain standing for 3 hours. It takes a while to figure out how to tie all the straps correctly and how to pull it up to your ankle after wearing it, but eventually I figured it out. I would have lost my job had I not worn this brace.

it WORKS!

I bought this for an ankle injury, because I was going to a trip to mexico and my doctor positively forbade me from walking on the beach without one. It rubbed a bit the first few times I wore it, but then i stopped lacing the top lace and it was fine. IT works great, I walked miles of beach and a week later my ankle is almost healed! Yay!

Help for sprained ankles!

One of the few braces that stabilizes my ankles and I feel like I have tried them all. I have sprained both ankles repeatedly over the years and need to wear braces on both ankles when walking, running, or doing any sort of physical activity now. This brace provides stability. Yes, it is bulky but it works.
