The black and blue in this product are nylon, but very good quality and durable.

We love how well this halter has worked out! The only problem I see is that the black is described as leather, it's definitely nylon like the blue, but fine with me! It's been very durable, well made and great design, has huge range of adjustability for crown and chin straps. This has lasted the best of any halter we've ever purchased for our cattle. I highly recommend this particular halter, my girls have finally outgrown the medium as they're 21 months old now (1000 -1100 pounds). The chain doesn't get in the way for daily wear. The chain taught the high headed heifer to pay attention to the leader and will also loosens effortlessly. Great item, would buy again but I don't need to yet as these are still in great shape after 18 months of daily wear!! Thank you for such a great product!! I've reordered larges for them now.

Fits my belted galloway bull, just barely.

I put this on my belted galloway X Dexter bull and it just fits. It does the job!

Heavy Duty

My cow is a 700 stubborn pet who used to give me milk when she felt like it. This halter is helping her to get trained to a lead, and she can't scrape it off and break like she did her previous halter. Very happy.

Adjustable! Sturdy! Leads our bull like a charm.

These halters are the best I've tried for cattle. Our bull is halter-trained and responds well to this. He's a Dexter and shorter in the face than many other breeds. This style is easily adjustable for varying sizes behind the ears and from ear to chin. He leads like a charm. The halters come in a few different sizes too. I was especially happy to buy them on Prime since I wasn't sure whether we needed medium or large. It was easy to return the one I didn't need. Great price on an item that I haven't been able to find locally.

Not too great

This took 3 months to arrive at my house and it is slightly too small for the average horse’s head. It fits tightly so that there’s no give in the chain, which defeats the purpose if, like me, you need it for a horse that does not necessarily need the chain digging into their chin groove all the time but would rather have it their just in case. Better to stick to a stud chain on a lead rope with a normal halter

It's NOT leather!

First of all it's advertised as leather but it's NOT. It's nylon strap. Secondly, I ordered the medium and it's huge! Definitely made for very large breed cows. I have a full grown Dexter and it was super sloppy huge on her even after adding LOTS more holes. So they run big. Going to try and small. Will report back.

Good halters

I have a large for my Holstein cow and a medium for my jersey cow. They work well and seem to be well made. The large I’ve had for over a year and it’s holding up well.

Not for a beginner

I am new to keeping cows and this had no instruction and when I requested 'How do I put it on' I was given no help. Pity it is still in the cupboard and never used. Looks strong

Heavy but sturdy

Unfortunately it was too big for our Jersey heifer. It's nice looking but a bit heavy.
